Really want this model. Maybe one day!
Really need this exact model for the adventures me and the wife take in our Jeep.
Could this model be used for winter camping in the upper mid-west? Wisconsin?
I'm not sure if they're insulated, but that would be a big factor. For the price and the simplicity of the design, I think you could insulate the heck out of it.
For someone who can do some modest DIY, this appears to be the trailer that comes in at a nice price point. Other makes are generally heavier. The Timbrens are 1-ton (2,000 lb rating). Typically, other makers use 3500 lb Timbrens. These trailers' dry weight is 1050 lbs, so you could still add almost a half ton (1,000 lbs) of cargo, which is very competitive.
I want a tiny wood stove in mine. Propane tanks have a way of running out.
So awesome. Can’t wait to get mine.
Ya , and pay threw the nose
@@mikeaustin1323 All the other off-road campers I've seen are double the price of this one.
@@TheBrokenNomad Yes. You can buy a very basic camper and add the things you want, over time.
I was looking for a 5x10, but their 6x8 is exactly the width of my truck, so I can still see around it without needing tow mirrors. Its footprint is closer to 7 feet than 6 feet, but you can see over the fenders.
@@harrymills2770 This is the video of my camper. #76 was mine, until I sold it earlier this year to purchase a new van.
@@mikeaustin1323 Dumb ass can’t even spell “through” why would his input be valid at all?
What is the weight capacity of that rack static and in movement
Exactly. No specs at all about weight capacity for roof, Hitch mount, or fender on their website.
Whoa I’d be super claustrophobic in something so small
Can you mount a large storage box in the front to store 12v fridge? I like the hiker but there campers are made of wood and I prefer the wide body of the Runaway.
Good question! You can! We don’t have an option for it in house… currently. 🙂
Are they insulated? Website is horrible
Walls are one inch thick, it is a corrugated panel, that corrugation makes air gaps inside of it giving its isolation properties.
Thanks for the feedback, if there’s any other information you’re needing just let us know, we are happy to answer.
@@runawaycampers Air gap is not insulation. Can trailer be ACTUALLY insulated? Walls, ceiling floors, etc?
@@MIAMIC70 you are correct, air gap is not insulation. The way most insulation works is by creating tons off tiny little air pockets, slowing the transfer of the temperature difference. So no, not insulation, but does give you insulation properties. We don't offer added insulation but adding a foam board insulation to floor, walls, and roof is doable. I've seen a couple of our customers do that to the older wood models that did not benefit from the air gap, or fiberglass exterior. With such a small space it takes very little to heat and cool. The a/c does the job of cooling in the Florida heat very well. Very cold temperatures (
@@runawaycampers Thanks, I am researching best way to do it. My biggest concern is the fact that it’s all composite and figuring out how to best insulate and attach some sort of wall covering to hold it. I just sent you an email I’m VERY interested in a Venturist but have some questions.
@@runawaycampers the roof rack is $450! And held up by 2 Philips head screws??? If the walls are 1 inch thick, it's only screwed to sheet metal. The roof would cave in with any decent weight on it. The website is very vague on weight capacity.
I’m having trouble finding the interior cabin dimensions for the 2021 Venturist 6x8. Any help would be appreciated!
Website is HORRENDOUS
Where do you put the license plate on the V series
We live in Tallahassee and we are seriously considering one of your trailers. However, I am not at all familiar with working with the wall material. Can you drill into it to attach things or would we need to build our own interior framework for any significant mods?
Is the V series the only unit that has the off road frame ?
Yes
That’s mine #076
Where does the battery go?
Near as I can tell it doesn't have one. It doesn't have anything that would run on battery; no water pump, no lights, etc. AC is a huge power draw and can't be powered by a battery. It would require a campground with a power hookup.
can it come with a heater? its cold in pnw.
They do not come with a heater but a lot of customers purchase and use a small ceramic heater
Any plan of big trailer someday in a coming years?
Very Nice. Just need a vehicle to tow it 😀
Any Canadian retailers ?
What's the interior height?
Love it 👈😍
