      Glad it was helpful! Everyone’s needs/wants are different so the bare bones option gives you the flexibility to tailor it to your specific needs. We’ve seen them with just a mattress with some storage bins all the way to cabinets and a custom kitchen installed. If you have any specific questions you can email through the link here or reach out on our IG page. Thanks for watching.

    Hey! Nice concise walkthrough of your Venturist. We had a 2016 4x8 Navigator (Cool Camp) and then the very first composite RangeRunner. We really enjoyed our Runaways and made more than a few videos about all of the Runaways - over 2 million views now. Three years ago, we bought an empty Ford Transit and converted it to a beautiful camper. Steve Shives forgave us! : )
    I like the underglow lights - I have done that on several Runaway campers for folks. The wrap is great - what did that cost? Blessings and be safe. We still attend a few rallies and may run into you sometime. Blessings!

We tried to replace one of the drawer inserts a few months back that I damaged but couldn’t find them or the cubby at our local ikea. Not sure if they discontinued them or not. The dimensions on the cubbies were 10 3/4” x 9 7/8” x 10 3/4”.

    Excellent video! Thank for the inspiration. I also have a 5th Gen 4Runner and am interested in this trailer. I'm guessing towing is no problem if even noticeable? I'm curious if the width of the stance of the trailer tires closely matches the stance of the 4Runner? Makes it easier to tow on soft sand beaches. thanks!

    • @outdoorobservations
      @outdoorobservations  5 місяців тому

      Thanks. Appreciate you watching. No problem for the 4Runner as far as towing. The trailer is wider than the 4 runner stance. Probably by the fender on each side. It hasn’t been an issue for us so far though. Runaway makes a 4x8 venturist as well that’s within the stance of the 4Runner. Not sure if you need the extra space the 6x provides though.

    Do you know off hand which baskets you have on the upper shelf? I'm looking for something to fit on that shelf in our Range Runner. I currently have some up there that don't fit and they're about worn out.
    I like your lower shelf idea too. We have a front - back queen so the lower cubbys wouldn't work for us. We have "wire" shelving up front going from side to side. I bought 2 "3 shelf" kits that were about 22" wide. On the two outer racks I used 2 shelfs then used one to connect them in the middle. It sits just below the AC and is a good place to put junk... too bad it just falls through 🤣🤣

    • @outdoorobservations
      @outdoorobservations  3 місяці тому +1

      Funny you ask about the baskets. We are actually in the process of trying to find some that are a better fit. These are not deep enough so we have some stuff propped behind them to keep them from sliding around. If we find something that fits well, I’ll share that info.

      Appreciate you watching. After cutting the bed down to give Ellen the floor space she wanted at the front, the mattress is about 68” side to side and 61” front to back. You obviously could leave yourself more front to back length if so desired. That’s one of the things we liked about having an empty box / blank canvas if you will. • @outdoorobservations
      @outdoorobservations  6 місяців тому +2

      Thanks it has worked out great for our needs. As far as the condensation, yes it can be an issue in any of these tiny campers. We keep our windows cracked at night to try and help with air circulation. We also use an electric blanket instead of a heater and that helps as well. We have a small heater that we can run in the morning just to take the chill off before we get up. I think one of our next modifications will be a maxxair fan install. • @outdoorobservations

      Neither. I’m not sure if it’s because of the axle less independent suspension or what but we’ve never had an issue with them falling. I’ve seen people use the heavy duty Velcro to hold them in place and even the tension rods for shower curtains. We haven’t had to do either so far.

      We paid about 11,500 back in early 2021 but like everything else, I’m sure they’ve gone up. We’ve seen roof top tents these days that are around 5k. So many of these small campers have gotten up of 30k.

      @@outdoorobservationsWOW that's amazing up to 30k$! I'm glad I'm building mine cause if I couldn't I'd be in that tent on the hard ground laying on a rock again. Ive never built one before but I believe with a little guidance i can build one a whole lot cheaper at least I hope! I bought a little used trailer that somebody built and I don't know what they built it for but it's built like a tank. I'm going put axle under leaf springs and then go from there so when I get full blast into it I will let you know and you can come help or build it for me and your wife can cook and when you get done then I will drfonetly be a HAPPY CAMPER!!! Happy Trails my friends!

    That carpet kills the whole nature vibe...

      Doesn’t kill it for us. It does keep the inside of the camper much cleaner though, especially when the weather gets nasty.

      Well thanks for watching 45 of it and leaving a comment. As a new channel it really helps with the algorithm. Hope you have a great 2024.
