Hey Quasi I’ve had some trouble with a couple of my bikes dying after turning over. Happens on my kz900rs and once on my xmax300. I tried holding the starter button down for an extra second and voila, it stays running everytime.
I sold my Can-Am Ryker Rally 900 in August 2023. I was the first Ryker owner in Texas, so it was a bit like being an aircraft test pilot. The Ryker had lots of teething pains with substandard parts, poor fit/finish. There were lots of bugs and random issues that the dealer and Can-Am couldn't (wouldn't) fix. Many early 2019-2022 Ryker owners couldn't ride their machines due to VSS faults, limp-mode failures, faulty steering angle sensors, and other electrical issues. The parts weren't availble to replace/repair the bikes, so the machines just sat in the service centers for months. I know three Ryker owners who made payments for 8+ months on their bikes without being able to ride them... that's B.S.! Can-Am never made good on the repairs and didn't offer to buy back the faulty machines. The Can-Am/BRP warranty coverage is terrible, and their extended "B.E.S.T." warranty is handled by a third party, who doesn't want to cover ANYTHING. Try flicking the kill switch off and on a few times to ensure full contact. Next try hiding the clutch in with the side stand up just in case there is a little electrical interlock finnickyness going on.

This issue seemed to be fuel or vaccuum related... not sure what it was, but I'll keep my eye on it and send it in for service next time it happens. 😉👍 --QM
27:35 Maybe was the fuel (1) the cause of the problem, that manifest more during hot temperature. For what I read vapor lock require to wait that the temperature drop enought, so this mean wait even 15-20 minute, before try again. Anyway I wonder even about the state of the candle,if they are became dirty or simply they are at the end. 1) I mean when the fuel isn't enought clean.
As far as Justice, it’s the same damn way in Vermont. Zero repercussion for many scumbags. As for the Hunter, are you going to purchase a second one? it looked like a sharp bike and possibly a fun bike to ride. I’m curious, would you buy again? As far as the SW Motech bags, they would make a good addition to my rebel T as mine won’t fit through my door for storage with the OEM boxes on (really need to figure out storage ha ha).
In the UK (and I'm sure else where) each grade of fuel has it's own hose. Is it standard in the US to have only one hose? Is this only to save money on the pump cost? Sorry about the news regarding the incident and loss of your Royal Enfield, and of course the medical costs, not working etc. On US Healthcare, what happens if a person require medical treatment but cannot afford it?
In the US, it depends on the gas station. However, diesel and ethanol free always have separate hoses. As far as u.s. healthcare. Typically most counties have one or more emergency rooms that are required by law to treat anyone who enters the door. Hospitals will attempt to form long term payment plans, but a lot of times those debt are written off/sold. They will never admit it publicly, but these costs are passed to patients who do have insurance or can pay in the from of more expensive treatment.
i have some stuff on my speedo i cant figure out and the book tells you stuff about it but nothing on how to clear it or anything like that. and i checked with 2 gps's and once i level out my speedo is right on the money. and right now at almost 600 miles i seem to get 98.2 mpg. running about 65 mph.
I really hope that "Extended Warranty" is through Honda, and not one of the dozen 3rd Party Extended Warranty's that many Motorcycle Dealers scam on buys.. Those 3rd Party ones have a laundry list of things it DOES NOT cover, and If you read the find print.. If something breaks, that's not covered, and that something breaks something that is "covered" well it voids the coverage due to being broken by something that's not covered..
Yep, I hate those 3rd-party warranty providers! I had plenty of that nonsense with my Can-Am Ryker and it's supposed "factory B.E.S.T." warranty that was really a shoddy 3rd party. They denied every single claim I had on that bike, so I sold it. I purchased the geniune Honda warranty when I got the Rebel 1100. This is why so many people carry weapons in their cars now. Police aren't there for you. And why I moved out of the US and no longer drive. I am permanently injured by a 94 year old woman who "didn't see me". Her family hid all the money. My insurance covered $45k. I learned not to care about my vehicles so much because no one out there cares. I developed road rage because people act like there are no laws, and car accidents are harmless. People are using the word accident even when the wreck was intentional, to "teach them a lesson." Cars and traffic are life and death dangerous. Most Americans don't realize this. Kids are allowed to drive! Teen agers are KNOWN to underestimate consequences with many feeling invincible and indestructable. Car manufacturers build cars that can go almost 3x the maximum allowed speed limits. Police don't like to do traffic as it is beneath their talents. On top of that theres the insurance industry as it is, the attorney industry as it is and the auto manufacturers loving that their cars are nearing $100,000 and easily totalled. I was finished in 2019. I moved to South America. I no longer drive a car and I use public transport or walk. People here don't have insurance and amazingly I have seen one accident here in four years. People are more careful despite the traffic laws being more flexible with little or no enforcement.
First time viewing your channel and let me say, I'm sorry to hear you are having those issues, especially with the DA. That's when I move back home, I'll be living in the country in a Republican County where people are held accountable for bad actions. Secondly how do you get that HUD on the screen? You know the map, lean angle, speed, etc.?
Howdy, Tex! Thanks for the feedback and the well wishes! The telemetry data for the heads-up display is recorded by my GoPro Hero11 camera (and my Garmin Zumo GPS when I'm riding with it). The gauge overlay is generated using a third-party program called Telemetry Overlay: goprotelemetryextractor.com/ I stitch everything together with Adobe Premiere Pro to create the final videos. Creating the overlays is a lot of extra work, but I think the end results are worth the effort. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

I could, but my attorneys said it was probably pointless. The assailant doesn't have any assets (claimed), and no gainful employment for wage garnishment. I need to inspect the frame to see if it's damaged or cracked first. If it's serviceable (and not cracked/bent), then I'll probably rebuild it. I'd love to take it touring through Arkansas and Tennessee in the fall or spring seasons. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
Which bar and mirrors do you have mounted here in this video?
Howdy, Jeremiah! Those are the CRG Hindsight LS (lanesplitter) mirrors. Here is the installation video, and the product links are in the video description: ua-cam.com/video/U7Bggy5diaM/v-deo.html . Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
@@QuasiMotard I take it they must fold in to be narrow (LS’ing)? Tight tolerance getting my Rebel T in through the living room door. Haha Also low tolerance from my wife. lol
Sorry to hear of your b4ll kicking. I'd be keen to see your video of the incident, I look at those videos as a learning for myself of what to look for.
That’s absolutely ridiculous. I live in Texas too if someone comes at me intentionally like that they’re gonna be missed by their family
Try flicking the kill switch off and on a few times to ensure full contact. Next try hiding the clutch in with the side stand up just in case there is a little electrical interlock finnickyness going on.
Clutch? It’s a DCT.
@@nondesperado Oh yes, you are correct...... in this instance. But nevertheless, even if the cpu only thinks the machine is in drive mode with the side stand down, it will deny the spark. All these new fangled gizmos etc...
I tried the killswitch off/on routine a few times without success. The Rebel's combination stop/run/start switch is all one unit that should self-clear as it's pressed to the "start" position. This issue seemed to be fuel or vaccuum related... not sure what it was, but I'll keep my eye on it and send it in for service next time it happens. 😉👍 --QM
That totally sucks, that you suffer, and he gets off Scot free. Really does not make sense.😢
That sucks but I can’t say I’m too surprised, stuff like this seems par for the course these days
i have some stuff on my speedo i cant figure out and the book tells you stuff about it but nothing on how to clear it or anything like that. and i checked with 2 gps's and once i level out my speedo is right on the money. and right now at almost 600 miles i seem to get 98.2 mpg. running about 65 mph.
Honda sent me the warranty card to stick in the owner's manual. 😉👍 --QM
Same S#&t here to, nanny state.
On a better note, I'm on the mend from my accident and the system we have will cover all your medical and get loss of entitlement/ pay, here in Australia but I haven't ridden since September '22😢
Howdy, John, and good luck with your continued recovery! I'm still getting back to "normal", but I fear that my shoulder/neck issues might require more drastic treatment in the future. My right rotator cuff tears and nerve impingement issues (neruomas?) may require surgery to resolve. I'm struggling through it, but my strength and range of motion sucks on the right side. Some days are good, some not so good... it's a crapshoot. 😒 --QM
Release the video with the local TV news might change the DA stance
Same in New York NYDA won't convict any criminals.
Well, that’s lucky for a certain mr. Trump.
wow ... The fact that you left the Rebel in an alley near washington st. ... damn thats called "Balsy" lol :p @Quasi
Wow that sucks.
I would check your kill switch I had random times where my 500 wouldn't start and the dealer pretended they've never heard of the issue .
But I found it in the forums .
If you toggles the kill switch on and off a bunch it would start up fine after . Found this out after mine wouldn't start the day I was selling it 😂 lost me 500 bucks in the sale . Bike only has 700 miles
That's bull crap they could at least tryed to convict him
The average length gas hose has a volume of about 1/3 of a gallon.
Some hoses are longer than others.

People are using the word accident even when the wreck was intentional, to "teach them a lesson."
Cars and traffic are life and death dangerous.
The gauge overlay is generated using a third-party program called Telemetry Overlay: goprotelemetryextractor.com/
I stitch everything together with Adobe Premiere Pro to create the final videos. Creating the overlays is a lot of extra work, but I think the end results are worth the effort. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
Im sorry man
With all the crap you’ve been going through lately, you probably feel lucky that they didn’t want you to pay for the damages on the assailant’s vehicle? 😉😄
Can you not appeal? This really sucks and I am so sorry, Aaron. Adding on the fact that the rebel giving you crap it's like what in the world! I'm praying things get better for ya my friend. Hang in there! I wish I could help you with the live stream. Maybe I'll hang out with y'all but I won't be able to host because I can't work a computer, thanks to my injuries. If I were able to do that I would be able to work. LOL
Howdy, Heather, and thanks for the support! I'm sorry to hear about your recent crash and injuries, but glad to know that you're on the mend. I might try to get a livestream going this weekend... we'll see! Cheers, and get better soon! 🙏😉👍 --QM

Well, that sounds exactly right and exactly wrong at the same time the guy who does the crime gets off and the guy who did nothing wrong gets massively screwed over yeah that’s what they do. It’s fantastic even with your video evidence of the crash because you record everything and that should be cut and dry, but oh no, of course that’s not enoughand of course he’s a piece of shit with no assets of course why would he have any of those?
Sorry to hear about the news on the smash that really sucks ass!
Quick question… I have a 500x and I’m riding to Italy 🇮🇹 from Scotland 🏴 in two weeks time, do you use anything on your stock seat or are you just hard core and have an ass made of stone 🤣🤣 also tried messaging you through fb insta etc
Howdy, Mike! I'll check the other platforms for messages.
I do have copious quantities of gluteal fortitude, so I can tolerate brutally uncomfortable seats for long periods of time (like a Honda Super Cub for 12+ hours/day, 23 days straight for 10K miles 🤣). However, I do soften the planks a bit with the AirHawk Cruiser Large seat pad ( amzn.to/3wlCr9a ) for those really long trips. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
@@QuasiMotard thank you for your reply I leave in around 10 days! I have done around 1500/2000 miles on the bike now and I am getting used to it I think 🤔

Maybe you need Tiger law??
Can't you take this to CIVIL COURT
I could, but my attorneys said it was probably pointless. The assailant doesn't have any assets (claimed), and no gainful employment for wage garnishment. Even if I did win a judgement against him, I probably wouldn't be able to collect. Attorney fees would lilely be more expensive than the civil award, so that makes it not worth the effort. 😒👎
not to say a 'liberal' da would be better but hoston's current da is not that. kim ogg recently backed ted cruz which no liberal would. the mayor isn't a liberal either tbh
i dealt with a hit n run on my motorcycle a year and a half ago here in Houston too. hpd was no help so there was never anyone to even attempt to take to court for me and was left on my own to figure out. it sucks and i also felt helpless at the fact that someone wasn't held accountable for derailing my life and running off. hope you recover fully n fast
Best to stay out of blue cities whenever possible.
Can't you go for a civil court case? This is bullchit.
But that’ll probably cost an arm and a leg even if he wins, and if the person is broke and unemployed, how is he going to pay?
In Denmark, we have a saying: “You can’t cut off the hair of a bald person”.
October? Slow down time! I about got smoked on my CT125. I had the green light on a blind corner, leaving Planet fitness, when a like 2010 Yaris just disregarded red light. It was close. I cut through now. Avoid that blind corner.

@@QuasiMotard it's a hard decision,hope wherever you land you don't forget us!
Clearly, you’ve been wronged and you are pissed as anyone would be. I definitely agree with you about accountability. And that goes from the very bottom to the very top. In my book no one is above the law. And then you went and made it political by referring to a BLUE city. I think that that was a very broad general misleading statement saying there is no justice in a blue city, town, state, whatever. You, as a content creator and influencer, have a large audience. We, as a country, don’t need anymore of this. I know I don’t. I’m tired of it all. Listen, I know you have been screwed but I just had to vent. I don’t want politics creeping into the content I enjoying watching to get away from it all.
The politics of this country is a very prudent reality that we are living in. Ignoring the "politics" will only lead to more oppression and descrution. It's past time for everyone to decide what kind of future nation they want to live in and get involved to help to create it. Ignoring the direness of our current state will only allow it to grow uninhibited.
Ughhh politics !! Dont road rage next time.
@justposi I didn't road rage, ja*koff! Someone intentionally rear-ended me and tried to kill me. Change the channel and keep your ignorance to yourself.
@@QuasiMotard Yeah people drive around and just hitting riders on purposefor no reason. Either it was intentional with a reason behind it or it was an accident. You cant have intent without a reason its not possible. Must have been a democrat lol. Maybe it was droopy Joe and he forgot to take his medicine. What ever it was it would not happen in a red state right.
What and ugly bike. Looks like a bike made for mad max. No chrome makes a bike look cheap.
Really? I don't think chrome would look right on this bike at all! I've had plenty of tourers and cruisers that looked equally cheap with tons of chrome and polished steel. The Rebel 1100 is a blacked-out bike, and I prefer that for a change. 🤷♂️ --QM
