So this is one of my favorite movies ever and during a time in the 90s where storms and storm chasing was really cool! Then Twister was born, starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton, RIP. This movie is about Two storm scientists creating a Device that would measure Tornadoes to give them enough warning to help the nation against the Storms, They encounter real Life Issues with Divorce and marriage alongside trying to Get Dorothy in the Air to measure Tornadoes. The encounter what looks to be all sizes from F1 to the Big F5 Tornado. As an kid this movie made me wanna be a weather man Tornado storm chaser all in one and I’d still do it til this day if I could !

Yeah we lost the Legendary Bill Paxton back in the beginning of 2017 may he rest in peace ❤💓💖🙏
I love twister the movie but born and raised in new Orleans And Live though Katrina so when I see it and it bring that memories that I don't want to remember but R.I.P to Bill
1996 such a great year that have us 2 the best movies ID4 and Twister!
Even though Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt were top billed... Jamie Gertz is highly under rated as Melissa, and other roles. Fun fact, I live in OKC and got to meet her during the filming at a truck stop diner in BFE, OK!! Lol Super friendly and sweet 😋
One of my favorite disaster movies of all time
RIP Bill Paxton & Philip Seymour Hoffman
Philip Seymour Hoffman as dusty was awesome he was such an amazing actor (RIP) and also RIP to Bill Paxton
RIP Bill Paxton.
The legendary movie I grew up with. As a storm chaser myself for the NWS, I can say this movie is by far the most realistic tornado movie out there. Only 2 scenes that aren't realistic in the entire movie.
What 2 scenes? I'm guessing the inside shot of the tornado was one?
@@deanterry992 Bridge scene where they hide from the first tornado. The other scene is the final scene with the F5 & them flying in the air while attached to some pipe.
@@StormChaserMaci. thank you I’m guessing that debris would’ve minced them in both scenarios? Or is it more the sheer force of the tornado just giving zero fucks and sucking them up? Thanks for replying :)
@@deanterry992 Both. Real tornado would've pulled them out from under that bridge & that debris flying would have killed them.
@@StormChaserMaci. wow, that’s horrific to imagine. Much respect to you and your fellow chasers for doing what you do. Thanks for the info :D
They announced a sequel to Twister recently. I hope it lives up to the quality of this movie.
They are working on it. This is one sequel they can't afford to fuck up.
I saw this movie at the age of 33 in the movie theater when it first came out. I’ve never been a fan of storms and this movie scared the living crap out of me. When that semi came flying at them I think I let out the loudest scream in the entire building lol And you’re right, for 1996 we thought these were some pretty impressive effects
Did you ever go to the ride at universal Studios? It was so cool!
The tornados look better than those in modern movies
a big old thumbs up for ya, not just for the movie, also the comment about being able to `smell' rain. i remember when i used to live out in the country. one could `smell' rain. in a way, it had a `sweet' smell to it.
Yes unfortunately Bill Paxton passed, but storm chasers honoured him by spelling his name using GPS coordinates on a map of the heart of Tornado Alley ❤
As I said in one other video comments - Spelling initials with GPS coordinates signal, it's a tradition for storm chasers ONLY, when one of them pass away, and Bill Paxton was the sole exception due to his role in Twister as storm chaser which inspired entire generation of meteorologists and storm chasers (one of most known among them now is Reed Timmer). By spelling his initials, they basically claimed him as one of their own.
I used to always put this movie on when I send it was airing on tv, love this movie.
Love this Movie...RIP Bill😪 Love him in 2 Guns❤️
When i was 6 i used to watch this movie EVERY SINGLE DAY so i dont mind that there is text on the movie screen
The whole growling & roaring the tornadoes do is related to how Jaws did the same thing knowing that Steven was a producer on this film.
I remember watching this on VHS! OMG!
I love disaster movies. Bern watching them since 1970 when I watched Airport.
Tornado starring Bruce Campbell from Xena and Evil Dead is a good one.
RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman.
this is my favorite movie and I'm sad that more movie reacters on UA-cam don't react to this movie cuz they are really missing out on a amazing movie I can watch this movie over and over and never get tired of watching it btw there is another tornado movie that you have to watch it called The Night Of the twister it was originally a book and they made it into a amazing movie
It was amazing movies you guys for you both to watch
This movie is one of my top favorites among all genres. As a kid, even before I saw this movie, weather, and storms always fascinated me, thunder and lightning, strong winds, it just got inside me and made me feel the power in my body. After seeing this movie, it made it even more interesting. Being raised in Florida, I went through tons of major hurricanes and tropical storms, and if I was lucky, I would always go as close as I could outside to look, so long as I was in a strong structure. Now I live in Georgia and also in a valley, storms come up hear, tornados and hurricanes, but never make direct hits, because of the valley im in. I'm a little upset about it, but I know I should be grateful. So glad we could share the same experience together watching this movie! Toodles!
As someone lives in Dixie Alley & have grandparents from Kansas, storms are one of my favorite topics. My family had many tornado stories. This movie was amazing & no other movie has compared to it. Still lives up to this day. I remember watching this as a child on vhs so many times. I couldn’t imagine storm chasing w maps only. That sounds stressful. I remember a few years ago we had a tornado touch down about 10-15 miles from us. It spawned another tornado next to it & I sent so many references to my brother 😂 “We got sisters!”
Yep, I agree with the smell of rain coming 💯, or when a earthquake is about to happen…it’s an eerie quiet 🤐
I love it how Jonas Miller basically admitted to stealing the idea with those news cameras around. They’re talking about a sequel that involves Jo and Bill’s daughter. They’re also talking about making a new Twister movie that’s not a sequel or remake that has a lot of what this film has but with updated equipment.
Great reaction love this movie 🔥💯🔥
the perfect theater film, I remember seeing it in theaters and it starts with that THX screen with the sound effect..and that really let you know you're in for a treat
I was too young when i saw this movie i was so afraid of tornadoes lol
ANOTHER ICONIC reaction from The Queen & King, WhiteGold & Fireworks. 💛 Thank y’all for your dedication and pure love for reaction videos. It shows EVERY single time y’all upload, y’all bring commentary to a WHOLE other level. Love and appreciate the both of y’all SO MUCH. 🔥
Thank you so much🙏
we love you guys
I love this movie so much I think it’s a classic too like Volcano. I think Universal Studios in Orlando still has a twister attraction redoing the drive inn scene. You feel the wind from the tornado and heat from a fire.
nah they took twister out a while ago... sadly
Look at how that sounds!
Sounds like a monster!
Me: Hahaha I mean tornadoes are monsters come to life.
They are currently filming a 2nd twister movie here in Oklahoma.
Next spring there is going to be a sequel to this movie called "Twisters", and I can't wait for it. Also FYI, the twister did lift Dorothy because she was too lite. They needed to anchor her down, and that's why they let the truck go towards the tornado.
Twisters are officially claimed to NOT be sequel to 1996 Twister
Fun fact bill paxton actuality dislocated his shoulder during filming the when he tried to get out of the truck
the scale for tornados changed because the science got better
We get storms and tornadoes 🌪 in Alberta but what's worse is wildfires caused by lightning 🌩 hitting our dry stuff cause we get very little rain
Twister hit when I was 6 saw in theatre classic movie but I've never seen it and thought about the love triangle more than the tornadoes
We went and saw this at the movies and the next day we went back and saw The Frighteneners, an underrated movie. You guy should react to that!!!
Cool
She almost got killed but he told her to go back at the beginning and she said "no I think this kinda interesting I'm going to tag along" so it's her fault for experiencing what storm chasing was about. She could have left after the incident.
Please react to into the storm it's similar to twister came out in 2014 y'all won't be disappointed it's low-key underrated
Irrigation pipe The Purge LED down at least 450 feet so it should hold
Keep up the vids yall
Into the Storm is a tornado movie. You guys ever seen that one?
Not a stand alone film anymore apparently. Just seen the new 2024 trailer.
Lol man one little F-bomb here and there won't make a movie R-rated, it's among other inappropriate factors that'll make it R aside from a few curse words which there wasn't in Twister so it's PG-13, great reaction and this will stand as my top favorite movie from the 90's!
8dk if they still qre going to but several years ago Bill Paxton had to have a major surgery done and he, unfortunately didn't come back to us when they tried to wake him up using whatever the meds they use to pul you back out. But they were going to do a sequel with Blli Paxton and Helen Hunt, who plays Jo..also several a good but of time before Bill passed away, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Who played Dusty, RIP, passed away from drug overdose.
The E in EF stands for enhanced... it's more accurate than the old F scale
I'm still a fan tho
I remember seeing Twister in the theater and thinking to myself that none of the tornadoes I've experienced/witnessed looked nearly as crisp and/or detailed as the CGI ones in the film. I live in an area that has been hit hard during tornado season (DeKalb County in northeastern Alabama). During one outbreak (April 27th, 2011), we had over 30 deaths in the areas surrounding where I live. I worked in construction and saw the damage first hand; it looked liked a bomb had gone off, in every direction. I saw entire houses pushed off their foundations into the middle of the road. I saw our local civic center (used for sports and music and such events) reduced to splinters. I worked on one home, and the homeowner was in a wheelchair from injuries sustained during the EF5's 210+ mph winds. He was lucky, however, as the whole family of 5 directly across the street had been killed. Typically the tornadoes we have here aren't especially strong, usually EF2 or less, but the April 27 outbreak was devastating in its' power. There were over 200 tornadoes in Alabama that day/night.
I’m just gonna put it out there, if y’all assemble a storm/tornado chasing team…I’m in!! I’ll be there & I’ll do whatever job you need me to lol
I agree hail does hurt cuz I have been hit in the head by a Hailstone before
This is my favorite movie To watch but I just started watching tornado documentary videos that big long track tornados hit like on may 3 1999 Moore Oklahoma and bridge creek Oklahoma tornado and may 22 2011 Joplin tornado and may 27 2011 tornado outbreak and may 20 2013 tornado in Moore Oklahoma like the documentary’s of this tornados are really cool but scary it really shows you how horrible the weather can be
I live in Norman, Oklahoma and had to outrun that 2013 tornado.
And classic don't need sequels to ruin and not stand up to the first film
Lmao at “cowies” & “moo moos” 😂 I gotta admit though, I also sometimes call cows “moo moo cows” lmao. I also call those white horses with the large black spots “moo moo horses” 😂😂😂 no cap
Wait a minute... Winds on an EF1-2 at 150-200??? 😂😂😂
the sequel comes next summer
I like skittles
I was watching another reactor react to a movie with her subtitles on. It was a part where a cow was being lowered into a dangerous spot. It was mooing and the subtitles read "cow mooing in fear." How does anyone know what that sounds like? lol
You should have been in the theater watching this with surround sound. The seats felt like they were shaking.
Yikes
1. This movie is kind of unrealistic. At the time in 96' storm chasers were really niche and no one really knew what tornadoes could do. Debris is the main damage dealer in a tornado so trying to ride it out on a hill in a shack with 200+ mph winds would mean death. Literally death. However it is still great to think what the inside of a tornado would look like. So for cinematic purposes it gets a pass.
2. I always call cows "moo moo's". Baby moo moos as well.
You live in Virginia? So do I! I live in the Shenandoah valley. Are you guys close to that? My grandma is from Radford and my mom is from front royal.
Kentucky
@@snoopersgonnasnoop oh ok
If you have seen the movie, it's not a reaction
Thanks for watching
Are ya'll in Kentucky?
All over and kentucky😢😮😅😊❤😂🎉
Have you ever seen an ef-4 twister you haven't I have and they are not pretty
Dantes Peak wasn't that bad either.
Yes but I hate when you always skip some parts of the movie😒
