I don't think I've ever been to Ludington, but in my experience, pretty much all of Western Michigan is fantastic. It's charming town after charming town. Super underrated.

Your mom is absolutely right about Luddington. It’s actually one of the jewels, we Michiganders are so proud of. Being on the west side of Michigan with the cool breeze that comes off the lake in the summertime is very special. There are a lot of people who come up from the south to escape the heat, that absolutely love the west side of Michigan and all that it has to offer.😊

There was so much fun to unpack in this video I had to watch it three times to make sure I caught every little bit. Oh my gosh Katie, i had that happen where my ears wouldn't clear during a flight, it was so painful. These vlogs are such an amazing view into your travels and adventures amidst the touring! For me everything is a sign. My stomache had some troubles and I drank less coffee then usual. Then my coffee can broke. And I understood the signals it was better to quit with the coffee. Ofcourse it took several weeks before I felt good again, it's an addiction, I know. But now I'm coffee- less and there is a huge stress load released out of my body that was restored for many years. More relaxed, more peaceful, more satisfied. It's like it kept my nervous system irritated.
Easily, my fav vlog so far. Fun watching you enjoy some of my favorite spots here in West Michigan. Lemonjello is a fair match for Madcap. But catching worship time at Pillar [oldest building in Holland Michigan] gives Katie the win. It's a good thing I drove all the way to Branson last spring because It couldn't make it for this show less than 2 hours from home.
For ear issues, look up the valsalva maneuver. Basically, pinch your nose closed, close your mouth and blow. This blows air through the eustation tubes and into the inner ears, which will then allow things to rebalance. You may feel one ear before the other…. Afterwards, you can do a wide yawn, and tilt your head left and right to release the pressure. This can be done as soon as you feel pressure in flight. I learned this when flying in the Navy. Thanks for stopping in Holland, MI. That is where I live.

Pretty cool getting to warm up in the band room and relax before show time. You should have stopped at Frankenmuth, Michigan. They have the worlds largest Christmas store Bronners, the two largest indoor water slide parks in Michigan, two gigantic German restaurants and lots of stores, not to mention all the outdoor Christmas lighting in town.
Wow this was turned around quick! Ok, first sympathy and respect for Katie. Ear trouble is the worst, but she looks like she'd be a lot of fun to do a long drive with, providing she avoided stone walls. But a little drag racing would be cool. Serious statement - I love that Jon is learning and working to get better. I lived seeing Emmett the goof. There was an animal I hadn't behold before. Ellen comes off as so normal, but they she photobombs Julz toward the end, revealing her secret goofiness. Matt and Katie sounded pretty good just messing around with xylophone and drums. I was not at all surprised that this family would choose food over beauty. I mean, you might run out of food one day. Julianne, some day you should write a book : "How I Escaped from the Bears," but the titles going to mislead no one. Thanks for doing this. If you run out of vlog material, you can always do a vlog on how you do vlogs. I love every single moment of these, and I'm grateful to spend time sort of riding along with you. Godspeed.

Katie, I'm so sorry you have problems with your ears. I suffered sudden total hearing loss in my left ear 2 years ago. Treatment brought back only 4 percent word recognition, and I have a hearing aid that helps slightly. Please take care of your ears, they are important. God bless y'all.

try using nosespray bevor landing, solved this issue for me (the tube thats swollen and prevents the ears from venting ends there)

Poor Katie. :( I too have had inner ear trouble throughout my life. And a burst eardrum is a top 5 pain thing i've experience.
I remember my first ride in a Cessna 172, the decent is when my inner ears had a piercing pain, until I yawned a few times.
