How to Start a Clothing Brand. What is a brand?

With the COVID-19 quarantine in place in Southern California, I wanted to take this time to share my 20-plus years of knowledge in the industry on how to create a clothing brand in a step-by-step process.
I run a Screen Printing and Design company, that designs and prints for many brands and companies as well as we have 3 of our own in-house brands which we sell successfully online, through distributors, and directly to consumers.
I have knowledge of successful clothing brands, as well as the screen printing and design company so I can walk you through the manufacturing side as well. I will show you what to expect when you approach a screen printing company when getting your clothing printed. How to distribute your brand through the various retail channels available.
In this episode, I want to cover the first and most important step of creating a clothing brand, and that is "What is a brand?" A pretty important topic especially if you are looking at having any kind of longevity in this industry. I will cover why it's important to the brand and what a brand actually entails.
A lot of people think that having a logo means you have a brand, or having great design means you can create a brand. while those things are good to have creating a brand is more than a logo, more than a design, and more than clothing and merchandise.
We will talk about how to really start creating a viable brand that has longevity and relates to your client base.
