I am literally wearing the first t-shirt I ever made using Spreadshirt in 2003, and only last year did the seams start falling apart. I've worn and washed this shirt more times than probably any other shirt I own since it was my favorite. It took 19 years for it to start to fall apart!!!
They been doing fine long before a lot of these companies existed and will more than likely continue to do fine. By your statements logic, everyone will screw YOU over with time.
No offense intended, just honest feedback: How does, "This Print on Demand Company Destroy Everyone?" I clicked specifically due to the title, which is totally inconsistent with the content of the video. Overpriced, meh quality, unacceptable shipping times, you have to use their domain, and they have control over your designs? After reading the comments about unreasonable design rejections with no explanation, limited customer support, and a lack of items to choose from... well, frankly, they sound horrible.
I would recommend watching the updated video. But you say the quality is meh… have you seen it in person. The quality is definitely not meh. It’s the best I’ve seen in POD atm. And I’ve tested over 50 companies. The shipping is a huge issue. The domain is a huge issue and I make sure to address this in the updated video. Where this company shines is the quality. I’m still able to make a great margin because I can charge more.
You didn’t provide a satisfactory answer to his question though. You titled this video “This PoD company destroys everyone”. Seems intentionally misleading, no offense intended.
When reviewed this company was far superior in terms of quality. i have made an updated video that i have recommended watching that goes over some pain points I found after releasing this video@@alvianretzy
I have designs on both spreadshirt and spreadshop. Getting your designs approved for spreadshirt can take a long time - several days to a week or more. Normally, no problem with designs posted on spreadshop, immediate in most cases. I had one design rejected on spreadshop because of quality - and they were right, it was only 1200x1200 pix. I do wish they had more wall art options - and it is not clear to me how to design for embroidery. Overall, I like this a lot for the customization.
I was selling on redbubble and I think is the best way for me but they got banned me without reason, do you think spreadshop is a good option for sales? I think maybe it doesn't have the same traffic as redbubble 😢
ye i wish they had more wall art too. But I use gelato for that. Spreadshirt def isn't as good. This in a way is totally different even though they both stem from the same company
@@ummeumar4looks like it yes. Spreadshop is for folks who, for example, are doing merch for a youtube channel or a band or whatever, where your merch is driven from elsewhere
Yeah, I used to work in a t-shirt shop for a couple of years. Polyester blends usually we would have to do a DFX printing which we have to print out the image on a plastic piece and then put a heat press on it. It felt different but not plastic like than our DTG prints on cotton. Those usually last about 50 washes, but a POD company like Spreadshop or whatever has better quality printing machines I would think than just a mom and pop business. This looks like something different type of print they were doing. Not sure on that.
Thanks for the review. Always good to have eggs in different baskets especially when different products can be great on different platforms. Would've been helpful if you got a sample of the mug and maybe another thing to see print quality and after wash, etc. Thanks again!
I was going to get the sample of the mug, but a year ago i tested over 10 mugs, from all different companies, and they were all identical. Mugs are just mugs. They're all the same
@@shimmymorris1 The reason I asked is because there are times when the vibrance of the colors from the sublimation can be different with some places more muted than other.

how much more expensiv is it to print the same design on darker fabrics and retain quality/durability/look? 'Base coat' sounds like it could add a bit of cost on top

Er…so, in what way does this ‘destroy everyone’ Shimmy? And, if the products are so expensive, (something you alluded to with a little bit of text, but never really discussed) how are they not ‘screwing us over’?
Because the quality is insane. Really really impressed with if I’d you sell for $25 it would be very acceptable to receive these items and there’s still a chunky profit margin there.
Your review of a company that destroys all other POD companies is lacking where they destroyed anyone. Also if you have an issue with shipping times & costs, take it up with the post office. I also would've liked to have heard what their customer service is like, are they Accessible do they respond quickly these types of things. How do the deal with returns.
Spreadshop makes a ton of money off designers and because you are creating products on their platform...they own the rights....you're basically a sales person for them...they keep more than half of the earnings....when you, the owner should profit more than a fraction of what you sell..
All u do is supply the image. They supply the shirt, printing, shipping, returns, etc. that's like the receptionist saying they should own 51% of the companies stock because she handles the receptionist-ing lol 🤪
A pod company that charges so much for the basic products and postage isn't the one we've been waiting for! The costs/profits have to be enough for us designers to make it worth our while but also not at the expense of quality nor customer value for money.
unfortunately, they have almost no competition. that's why they're so good. it's the best of a bad situation. i'll be doing comparison videos soon as well
Hm, they seem to have a pretty similar product range as printful. But I don’t like how they hide all the important information if you’re not logged in, like no price, no info where it comes from, how long shipping takes and costs etc. I actually have to make an account and recreate my products there to compare their prices, that sucks.
I've been following your channel for a while now and I must say I've tried it too. I'm only interested in one thing, and that is when a customer orders from your store and you receive payment on Stripe (for example), do you transfer money from Stripe to the company that prints your products, or do you have to transfer money to a bank account and from a bank account to a bank account prints your designs.
