Very good input, very informative and delivered in layman’s terms. One thing I would add, in order for a 15 minute break to qualify as rest, you must have firstly driven. I have seen many a driver commit infringements by relying on the 15 minute rest prior to driving.
Good point. The actual amount of driving may be influenced by the individual tachograph make and model, as some will allow a 15 minute break after minimal driving, some require significantly more and will, as you have mentioned, show as an infringement if sufficient driving is not completed.
What do you know about the changes made in regards to the changes in manual entries requiring any driver to add manual entries in what they are doing when not driving absence holidays other work.....

Hi Claire, Everything has to be recorded including daily rest every day and their weekly rest, holidays and sickness absence
Now I know why transporter managers can earn up to £50,000 and more a year plus a lot of headache tablets😊
Not an easy job at all, but can be rewarding
