Hmm, Awesome video! It should be up to the driver to decide their break split not the trucking company.. 7/3 8/2 splits gives drivers more resting options.
Truck drivers have been blessed with a 70 work week that garbage trucking companies take advantage of because they are allowed to force drivers to work for FREE.
Any employment law peeps out there? I’m a chauffeur and my hours vary each day, never a set start/finish time or amount of hours. Is there a limit to how many hours I am legally allowed to drive? I have requested to not work more than 10 hour days, but I was told I have to work whatever they give me. Average driving most of the year is over 11-13 hours. On occasion I have driven 14-17 hours. Thank You
You can drive 11 hours in a 14-hour window. Your clock starts as soon as you log on duty or as soon as you move that vehicle. Also if you move that vehicle without having any on duty time you're in violation. You can't move that vehicle without pre-trip time unless it was done at the beginning of your work day.
Who in the world would work 14 hours a day for that kind of trash money? LOL. You're literally wasting your life by going into this career, become a pilot where you can work 7 days on and 7 days off and make over 100k a year unlike trucking where it's 5 days out 34 hours off LOL.

The state, bosses, lawmakers should be held accountable.
I am not sure that you are allowed to split your 10 hour break to 9 and 1 hour breaks.
Thank you its very helpful

Sleep time needs to be at discretion of competent driver or drivers
Is this U.S. regulation or Canadian ?

Only affects your 14 as you have a 14 hour drive 11 hours. I don't know why you would drive 11 hours or even work 14 hours a day.
