I honestly was so excited to hear Frostpunk was getting a sequel, but it doesn't feel like Frostpunk anymore? I don't know how to explain it, but the 'feel' of it doesn't fit anymore 😢 I'm kinda sad the iconic circle placement is gone to this hexagon and less micro management is the other obvious change. I loved the first game so much (soundtrack and story was amazing and the game felt unique and different than other city management games) I'm a bit disappointed but if others people enjoy it that's great ❤
@@bookle5829I agree, I also think that realistically if they kept to the same formula as one, then it would have just felt like a DLC but at full price. I think they took a really smart risk in keeping the same flavour but expanding the scope, and it also makes sense. 1 was centered around the direct post-apocalypse struggle to survive when there was no way to prepare, so of course the scope was going to be centered more on the individual and small settlement. Two takes place after humans would have had reasonable time to acclimatise and start actually looking towards expansion. I can understand why people are upset by the gameplay sense, but I don't think that line of development would have fit the story or felt like it deserved to be its own game.
kid is right, they grow up strong with hard times 2:42:00

I think this saying fits both the first and second game, a single death is a tragedy, a million deaths are a statistic.
Just from 1 look i can see this one is worse in many ways that the first game. But it mighy be better in other ways. I truly hope.
It's a fun game if you treat it like another city building game. But I understand some might disappointed with this. It's just more macro than micro.
