I wouldn’t be anywhere near the person I am today without my mum (and you’ll hear why in this week’s video...)
When it came time to decide who I wanted to dedicate my book to when it was first published, I didn’t have any hesitation about who I wanted to thank more than anyone else in the world.
Which is why the first page reads, “To the most high-value woman I know, my mum."
Mother’s Day is a day we can all unite on. Whatever stage of life we’re in, all of us have a mother to thank for keeping us safe before we were ever born and for bringing us into this world.
It’s easy to forget the sacrifices someone made just for us to be here now, able to live, think, work, and enjoy the relationships around us.
But as I see it, today isn’t only about mothers.
In fact, I have a special message for ALL WOMEN, and if you have 3 minutes to spare today, I’d love for you to take a look and let me know what you think...

My mum once told me whenever I'm sad i should just close my eyes and think of something beautiful. I always close my eyes and think about her.
Bery26 wow this made me teary eyed. This means you have found the true definition of love ❤️
Bery26 beautiful ❤️
How wonderful it is!
Bery26 that made my day, thank you
I also think about your mom
When I was little I failed an exam and cried for what seemed like hours, my dad come up to me and hugged me , he said " grades are not worth crying over, what's really important in life is being respectful and a kind human being" I will never forget those words.
...and then your mom did what?
my dad is also taken the "job" of being my mom :)
Hell Girl yes.. dad is equally important in life.. sometimes he takes up the role of mum which is one of the sweetest things in life..
:) amen
Some Dads are great too and very spoiling ,,,,All my Loooove for them all=) =)=)
My mom always said: pay attention to the way a man treats his mom. If he's a good son he's will be a good husband.
Not if he's an extreme mama's boy
+Sophia Ramirez that's what my mom always said too!! words of wisdom!!
I was taught that and decided to take note. I recently met one that's an angel to his mom but not the best partner although not the worst either.
+Cherie W exactly. My ex was a huge mama's boy and trust me....his mom is the ONLY woman he had room in his heart for lol
Until he has a midlife crisis. My husband summarily discarded his mom and when she came down with cancer summarily put her in hospice.
My mom taught me to live within my means and not hang my coat where I cant reach it. She said it's better to have $1000 in a $20 dollar bag than to have $20 in a $1000 bag .However if I want to have 1000 dollars in a 1000 dollars bag I should work hard for it .
+Jhazz A I wish all parents taught their children that
Jhazz I love that advise
Jasmine your mum sounds like wonderfully woman. God bless
Sounds like she passed on a lot of wisdom to you. That's so cool.
This is truly a loving ode right from your ♥ for your mother. A person who respects his mother, will surely value women in his life. God bless you in your endeavor in life Mathew.
I learned how to be a strong woman because I had a mother who wasn't. She relied on me for many things at a young age. As a result I vowed to help other women because of how important it is to respect yourself, be confident and build your self esteem even when you don't have a guide to lead you in those early years. Every young woman should have a female mentor and it doesn't have to be family. We all need support and love, always remember you don't have to do it alone.
same as my story. I did all those things that my mum didn't because I learnt from her mistakes
I'm thriving! :) Happy 2017!
Dear Sybersue 💕💖🌷🌸💞💗💯☹️💪🏼💐🌺🌻☘🌹✨🙏🏽✨
Thanks xo
I hope things are going great for you now! xo
Your mum raised great sons, Matt. Happy mother's day!!!
But wht aren't the boys married?
Parents* Both parents are equally responsible for their kids upbringing. Do not stereotype.
My mother taught me about the kind of woman I do NOT want to be!!!! That being said, it still makes me the person that I am today and I am very proud of that person!!!
Girls I want to share with you this effective formula to make a man do almost anything you want
See Here>>===>>makehimdesireyou6.blogspot.com >>>>>>>
Rebekah I'd be curious to hear what she told you not to be.
I became the mother my mother was not able to be. I'm so glad I didn't take after her in many ways but I do thank her for being my mother because without her, I wouldn't be the mother I am today. We chose our parents because they had something to teach us.
Same for me, my mother was not a natural parent. she told me she'd never wanted to have children and never gave me any reason to doubt that statement. She was impossible to please, and stricter than the Victorians. I know it was because she'd had a difficult childhood but I haven't passed that anger on to my son, so I know it is possible to break the cycle if you really want to. Not all mother's are the unselfish beings we would love them to be.
Same here. I cut my mom off 6 years ago after a horrible comment from her. I have never been freer.
My mum taught me that intelligence on its own isn't that valuable. Work is where it's at.
My sister taught me (without really knowing it, but I've seen it from her past relationships) that if someone doesn't wanna be with you, doesn't value you, it's their problem and not yours.
My aunts on my dad's side taught me that sex appeal is 30% what you've got, 30% what people think you've got, and 40% posture. Lol
My aunt on my mum's side taught me that if you can laugh at yourself, you'll coast along just fine.
My half-brother's mum taught me that you can always, always start over. You just have to find a way.
My history professor taught me that you can be the next Einstein, but if you're not kind and you don't have good motives, it doesn't mean anything.
(Sorry, that was a tale and a half 😂)
Wise words - all of them. Thank tou for sharing. 😀
such nice words and lessons front each one
Woow..😄.💜 Thank you for sharing 😃😊
That was awesome. You're lucky to have those women in your life. Thanks so much for sharing.
Michiko Yeung how nice of u to share those words.. I'm so glad i went through the comment section.. god bless u and all those wise women
I wish more men would talk like that.
Girl tell me about it ugh, they're ignorant AF unfortunately
You can't ask for that as the same time you just watch media putting men down. You think it's a coincidence men aren't get married anymore and millennials are actually have less sex than their parents?
allolp Because the media has never ever put women down 🙃
allolp Millenials are addicted to their phones. They can't even speak to other Homo sapiens. I would be very surprised if they had active and fulfilling sex lives.
You don't know, you are not a millenial. Yes, they do talk to others. Yes. They have sex.
my grandmother taught me to be kind and loving to people no matter how difficult my own life becomes.
This is the most attractive video I have ever seen a man do. Now this is hot to a female. You are quite the guy.
And you fell for it! this is all a fasade!
That's exactly why he did it. I happy for you that you see his grift. Btw I agree with what was said in video.
My mom went from a HS dropout raising two kids at home in an unhappy marriage to go back to school, get a good job and support herself and her kids. She taught us that we can reinvent ourselves and better our lives. She also taught us to be independent, and never depend on a man. Or anybody, for that matter.
Btw, my dad has always been present, while alive, and I loved him very much.
Beautiful words. I'm sure your mum is proud :-)
👍
Beautiful message and I love the way you say "mom" so sweet! :)
+ForeverSeekingTruth
Mum*
we say mum
Jiji Vera oh ok....love it! :)
I define a mum as a little flower. I like the yellow. lol jk --- and some people say his accent is too american now. Nope. --- I (a woman) influence by my writing - bet Stephen is after the same.
Yeah h actually says mum not mom. The way it should be!
Thank you for this. I won't be a mother, because I can't have kids and accepted that. However, there have been men who won't date me because I won't give them kids. I think I'm so much more than just an incubator for some guy who wants to populate the world. My mother wasn't a strong person and I've had to parent her. So, I've decided to treasure my own strength and resilience in accepting what I do have to offer. Also, my professors have been my mentors and have allowed me to see the worth I have.
Delainey Johnson those are strong words. Thanks for the inspiration. and one more thing u don't have to be a biological mother to give someone motherly love and affection.
Meanwhile the man I want won't have children anymore... it's always something with men. They're so cruel it's absurd...
A man has every right to want to have children. Doesn’t mean they think you’re just an incubator. Just not your guy. Hope you’ve found him by now.
Thank you for this. So many people feel that because I don't have children that I know nothing about love, nurturing, sacrifice, etc. At 50, I've been through quite a bit in my journey, although I don't have children, I've learned to give, be and do all of those things and more. I had to find significance and joy in just being myself and not having children to help define my place in this world. That was not easy and everyday is a life lesson. We need to be kinder to one another and not judge another persons life or choices so harshly. Their story may be more significant than yours. If you discount it, you don't learn anything.
+Terri Boyd One of my adult daughters is childless (she's over 40) and yet she is one of the most loving, nurturing, compassionate persons I have ever known. She always thinks of others first-and she has been a second mother to her niece and nephews. A woman does not have to give birth to have a strong maternal instinct. I wish her a Happy Mother's day every year-because she is a mothering type of soul, as I think all women are-whether they have actually given birth or not. We have a maternal nature, and we will find other outlets to express it-whether it be with our pets, or kindness and care towards our friends and family. You're right-it's wrong to form a negative judgment toward a childless woman. I have never done this-as I know the nature of women. That generous, loving spirit will still manifest-regardless if they have a child or not.
+dragonfly9209 Thank you for saying this!!
Elle L how very true.. being a mom is very different from just having a child
Elle L So well put. I often get "no children shamed" by friends, colleagues and one of my very own sisters. Thanks for your words.
Hi Terri. I dont know if you will read this. It's been a while. But i wanna say i understand you. I am a young woman in my 20s. I have lived a tough life but learned from mistakes of others. I cared for my younger siblings and feel i hv done my duty in this regard. I now feel like i want to transfer my focus and care for adult people in the form of bussiness. I want to grow my bussiness and people within it. Like it's my little baby that i look after and care for. I am looking for other women who have experience in this or similar matters related to being childless and so on. If you care to share give me a shout I'd be willing to listen.
Your dedication to your mum is almost verbatim the way my teenage son speaks of me and to me. So, from a mother's perspective: Your video proved very moving. We are so busy trying to "teach the man to fish," we often forget to look up and proudly see how well our kids are doing, as they grow up. This type of homage is so humbling and makes all the effort well worthwhile. Thank you.
I absolutely love your vision of a woman's mission. I am a woman and a mother but I have never felt this way about myself before although I have heard people saying this kind of things. But the way you delivered this message made me actually FEEL it. Thank you so much, Matthew, from Ufa, Russia ❤️ And also thanks to your Mother for bringing such a great person into this world
Same!
my mother is the most strongest, kindhearted, most forgiving woman i know and my best friend. I learn from her everyday and everyday i become better and i aspire to be as strong and confident as her one day
Iqra Ahmed i love my mom too and i feel so happy when i see comments like yours.. god bless ur mom n u too
Am happy to say that it's my case too! My mom is the best in the world!
The reason you have become successful is because of your respect for women, especially your Mum!! Keep up the great work!!
This message brought tears to my eyes. To be witnessed and seen this way is a gift too. Thank you Matthew
My mum was always sick and in hospital , my dad left when i was 4 i always cared for my mum. Now i'm 24 and a mum myself, i have learned to let my daughter be the child she needs to be and no matter how hard my life is at the moment i will always be her rock where she can talk, cry, laugh and share everything.. I will give her everything i didn't have as a child ❤
My mom taught me what walking out ones faith looks like. She has gone through some really difficult life challenges and always has wisdom and a shoulder to cry on. I would be nothing without my mother as well. By the way your mom is lovely. I didn't meet her when I was at your Orlando event last year, but saw her in person and she seemed genuine and kind. I see where you get your empathy and loving nature. Thank you, Matthew.
I have a huge crush on you for saying what you did. You are the Hercules of the heart.
Matthew the kindness learned from your mum shines through you! There's a lot of guys out there coaching women on what to do & what not to do with men. I've listened to a few. You are absolutely unique in your delivery. You have grace, respect, compassion & your love for women as human beings is so clear & received. Thank you! Namaste :)
You are a great guy Matthew Hussey. My role model and will always be my father: he told me a humble person could fit in any group. So I want to share this with all of you.
As an adoptive mom, I appreciate this message. Being a mom can mean many things.
Your mindset makes you a beautiful man. God bless you
Matthew, this is such a beautiful video. I'm so blessed to be a mom to my daughter and to have my mom in my life. Mom taught me how to be strong and independent and to love people, enjoy life with passion.
Every single motherly figure I have told me that hard work pays off. And it does.
Compassion, kindness, unconditional love this was pass to me by my grandmother. She passed away but she will be always in my heart and her life wisdom will always guide me in my life as a woman
That was super sweet!!
Your Dad sounds like an awesome person!
One of my music teachers from college was so absolutely hard on me. I didn't understand her being this way because I was a hard worker. I always came prepared, and I also helped other classmates with their music. At the time I didn't understand that she was tough on me not because I wasn't good enough, but because I had the potential to be better. It's been a few years since I've been in her class; however, I carry with me the knowledge that I can do better. That I can do more. I know it sounds like a tough thing to think of myself, but it's actually a huge confidence builder. It's not all about the people who blow smoke up you ass trying to puff your ego. I like to think it's about the ones who call more out of you than you even knew you could give. Iron sharpens Iron.
That's amazing! Really good words, Iron sharpens Iron, totally!

Amen
My mom is a beautiful soul who is not only my mom but also, my friend. This exceptional woman has raised my siblings and me to be self-loving, caring, and confident people. I love her deeply, and she is my Wonder Woman.
This was beautiful, Matthew! My mom taught me what confidence and self-love is. I love her!
Best line: "Mums are people who change the world." Yay! Being a powerful, influential woman can be the role of any woman, I like that, too. Thanks, Matt for sharing about your mum and her influence in your life. My maternal grandma, Juliette, made a huge impact on my life-etiquette, manners, poise, kindness, integrity were some of the values she passed on to me.
Your mum is such a lucky woman to have a son like you. Thank you for being the positive force in the life of countless women.
So blessed to have my daughter as a wonderfully incredible mom to my precious grandchildren. She inspires me everyday.
Matthew, I love your confidence! You allow your audience to see your vulnerability at the risk of a few dislikes. One of your best attributes is being genuine in your intent to help others. You're a great role model and reminder to the kind of person I aim to be. Thank you.
Love the passion and energy you spoke with when you said ''to the women of the world I love you all''. I felt that love! Thanks. Happy Sunday everyone!
I learned laughter from my grandma & resilience from my Mum. I embody both today thanks to those two strong women. ❤️
in my home, my dad made the rules but my mom was the enforcer (they are both stil around and still have these roles LOL). Not a dictatorship, since Mom negotiates with my father when the rules is "incomplete" or unfair. So yep, my mom is strong and smart and, along with my dad, the foundation of my life. My son died (he was premature) and, being in my 40s and divorced, it's been difficult to find a 'role" for myself. And some don't see us childless women as "good". I'm happy to hear that we're appreciated, even if childless. Thank you!!
my mom told me to take our own time to adapt to change..everyone is unique in his own way
I really didn't know what to expect to hear in this video. Thanks for passing on a message with substance and value - a rare thing these days on UA-cam. A shout out to my mum for giving me gifts both subtle and gross. Each and every one adds to the person I am today for which I will always be grateful for.
Matthew, you’ve helped way more women than you even realize. Thank you & thank you to your mum ❤️
My mother taught me compassion and how to gently handle the flaws in others. One of her greatest gifts to me since one of my bigger flaws as a youth was being judgemental and arrogant. Thanks Mom and great video!
Im a mum to 3 teenages with no one else in our lives... just want to say thank you for you gratefulness xx
Was just on this train of thought too, Matt. This is a great message. So lovely, you're a beautiful person. Thanks and a happy Mother's Day to yours!
Thank you mom for teaching me how to manage oneself in this world. Taught me values and standards, gave me love and took care of me💛
TY MAtthew! So nice of you to say!...Forgiveness and compassion
Watching this video reminded me of my fifth-grade elementary school teacher. From all the women I have met, she has probably been the most influential. To this day, i derive so much inspiration from her because of how confident and self-assured she was. Even though i have not talked to her in years, I can always refer back to her lessons when I am struggling.
I hope to pass on the lesson of being alone to find oneself. From our natural instinct we always want to be included, and it is not that i disagree with that, but I want to shine light on the fact that it is okay to be alone. Being alone allows for self-discovery and ultimately allows you to set goals for yourself. :)
Thank you!
Incredible reminder, to our Mum’s and to the future Mum’s too . Thankyou Mathew
Thankyou for a beautiful message. My mom is strong in being humorous no matter how hard life gets and a willingness to learn.
May 8th is Parents' Day in Korea and this message couldn't have come at a better time. Thank you for this lovely, heart-warming message, Mat!
Thank you Matt for sharing. Beautiful words and very true. Mums are priceless.
Today, my mum has passed away. She always kept repeating that knowledge is the key to open any door if you choose to enter the space behind it. I am very grateful and blessed to have had her as my inspiration and light that brightened my journey through life when it was dark. Thank you MUM XXX
This is such a beautiful message, Matt! I thank God for my mom every day, and aspire to be as intelligent, kind and patient as the woman she is. Thank you for all your kind words and thought provoking videos. You help more people than you know!
I am certain your mom is an amazing woman cuz just look at how you turned out, Matt! Good job, Matt's mum! Your boy is truly amazing!!! :)
i think your Mum was really special.
You are very lucky.
God bless you for helping us because we sure need it!
Matthew, thank you for being you! And thank you everyone who works behind the scene to make your videos happen!! Love your channel! - from a young woman in Toronto
This is amazing. My mom taught me to love unconditionally and stand up for what I believe. She truely was the best mother
Thank you so much. I needed this for the most difficult time I've been going through as a mom. It inspires me to be best mom to my precious son no matter what is happening around me.
Hey Matthew, my guidance counselor back in the day. She believed in me & in turn so did I. I'd like to impart that kindness & manners to others is always necessary. Happy Mother's Day to your mum.
Moms really are just so special. My mom taught me unconditional mother's love. She had her fair share of problems and codependency problems that negatively influenced me. But I will always remember her for the good, pure soul that she was. Rest in peace..
My grandmother, may she rest in peace, thought me to always remember to live and enjoy life, her incredible strength to survive all the hardships shr has been through, and yet till her last day, she travelled, visited family, listened to music, dressed up, and loved having people over. Funny as her name was actually "Aicha" wich means the alive in arabic. She was always grateful and trusting that things will get figured out. She taught me that money isn't worth much without family and friends, that I can become a woman of huge impact and make it to big places. Without ever going to school or learning much, she could sit talk and understand big business men and negotiate with them. She was affirming and straightforward. Such power and strength, and yet with me the most loving and kind soul, she raised me, was my mother in every type of way, and her soul forever lives eithin me, and I can only hope to reflect her strength and kindness.
I'm still learning about the kind of woman my mother is. We used to have a tumultuous relationship and I definitely wanted to be nothing like her. However, I'm learning more and more things about her that inspire me, that make me look up to her more than ever before. She is not perfect, and I think that's one of the most beautiful things about her.
I LOVE my mum, who I also refer to as "muti", my Grandma and Nana, may they both rest in peace- and I love You, Matt, thanks for all the great videos!
Thanks yet again Matt for a lovely video... making us Moms feel special as we try and hope that we are are doing the best for our kids. I've sadly lost my son, only 37 suddenly, recently and miss him every second of every day...but know I've always done my best!!
sweet of you to say all those nice things😊
You really got my heart hearing you talking about your mother 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😊😚
Thank you , you warmed my heart .
You’re so loving and amazing Matthew we appreciate you so much 🐝❤️🙏🏻
This was genuinely a sweet video. 💜👊🏽
And you, being so appreciative of women and praising motherhood and your own mother, just made yourself a thousand times more handsome, intelligent, loving, and desirable! Who ever has or gets you, is/will be phenomenally lucky!
Happy Mother's Day to your mom and all the moms out there and/or your moms too!!
I’m not a mom yet, but that literally just made my day! Thank you!💕🙏🏾
I would like to pass on being caring and tolerable to others. My mom definitely taught me to have patience with those even when they are unkind. ❤
Thank you from a mom :) Your video come at the right time for me. THANKS it means more than I can say
I'm so curious, Lg-worker Heart. Why? What happened? Hugs
Thanks Matthew! More men need to realise this and respect women instead of taking them for granted x
I love being a mom and I always nurture those around me . Thanks for appreciating us moms .
That was the sweetest and most emotional video I’ve see you make! Thank you for what you said and wish more men and children felt this way! Keep up the great work....coming from a mom beginning again!!
Bless you Mathew, and I pray to god to keep you and your family healthy and safe ❤️
Who else wasn't expecting this extraordinary message by the title?🙋🏻♀️
I was thinking of the same message that is always here on UA-cam on qualities of a high value woman
What a sweet video! Keep doing what you are doing, Matthew!
I love you, Mum!
Respect and compliments to you and your mum!
Dear Matthew,
Gosh, you continue to amaze me everyday with your level of depth and compassion.
Thank you for such a beautiful.
As a woman it's hard to think of a time when I've ever been more acknowledged.
Thank you to the beautiful son that your mother raised.
Betty
Wow❤. I truly wasn’t expecting this type of message! I definitely appreciate your take on high value women!!!
I lost my Mom more than a year ago and this video really speaks volumes in what mothers bring to the table. my mom always taught me to shoot for the stars, and that I could do whatever I wanted. she taught me to be generous and love fearlessly. It is so difficult these days to find genuine people, and I hope you are as genuine in person as you are in your videos. so glad I came across your videos. life changers!
there's no words to describe my mum! !!she was Godsend to me !!!Miss you mum #Rip
High 5 to you Matthew!! 🖐 Well said! I've just shared this on my Facebook wall... thank you! 🤗
There is nothings special in a life like mom. My mother passed away 8 years ago and till now i feel that nothing can replace her. She is the sun, the hope, love, safe, home. God bless her 😭
my grandmother was the most powerful and i wish i had half of her character she said beleive in yourself.
Great video! ☺ My mum is strong, resilient, hard working, caring, sweet and managed to deal with loads of hardships she faced in her life to make our family as happy as she could, despite adversities some women would have run away from. She taught me to do the same. I love her loads.
Wow, Matthew! I didn't expect to get misty-eyed, but...that just happened. Love you, too! Thanks for doing what you do. ✨🦄✨
The beautiful life of my mom was transferred into my life. I will always owe her for the way that I carry myself in life and how I treat others. She gave of herself regardless of what was given to her. Thank you Mom for the precious gift of being my mother. I Will Always Love You! ❤🌹🌹🌹❤
Aww Matthew you are seriously such a lovely bloke! I wish every guy respected and valued women the way you do!
@husseymathew this is gr8 coming from you.proud to be a mum and proud to have been raised by the best hands.Happy mother's day to all incredible women out there.
My mum offers unconditional love no matter what. She also taught me high standards. But giving all love unconditionally does not mean lowering your standards. It's about going all in, conscience clear & doing it because you genuinely want the other party to benefit or be happy. If the other party doesn't give it back, at least you know your conscience is clear & you continue to influence with your love - showing your power. Love you mum. She's the strongest woman I know.
Thank you Matthew 🥰 We are so appreciative of all your content . I believe I speak for most women whom watch your UA-cam channel 😇🙏
Beautiful message Matt. I have an amazing woman as my mother. I treasure her Always
My mom is the only person I've ever known who does what she's says she's going to do and then does even more. Also, that is a beautiful garden.
Thank You . That was really sweet. My mom is the strongest influence in my life. I was a cry baby before. So if I am so strong now it is because of her words and of course life experiences.
