I'm so fed up with living inside this prison
My life's controlled by another's conviction
I need a new reality
I need to find stability
(There must be some way out)
This is not the last time I'll say it
(I think I'm losing my mind and there's no changing this)
It's not going to stop until I'm dead
(It doesn't stop until I'm dead!)
There's not enough room in here for the two of us
I say right (you say wrong)
I say love (you say hate it all)
So who do I believe?
(Why is there no way out?)
This is not the last time I'll say it
(I think I'm losing my mind and there's no changing this)
It's not going to stop until I'm dead
(It doesn't stop until I'm dead!)
I've gotta find a way to live like this
(I think I'm losing my mind and there's no changing this)
It's not going to stop until I'm dead
(It doesn't stop until I'm dead!)
I've been trying so hard for so long...
I need a new reality
There must be some way out of this mess
I need a new reality
But there's no way out
This is not the last time I'll say it
(I think I'm losing my mind and there's no changing this)
It's not going to stop until I'm dead
(It doesn't stop until I'm dead!)
I've gotta find a way to live like this
Caleb was asked in an interview how memphis may fire felt about them taking the whole "the ____" title concept from mmf's the hollow album. so Caleb left the tour bus to find matty mullins and brought him into the interview and they jokingly acted as if there was tension between the bands and each other.
link??
@@wilo2832 guess we’ll never be able to find it
This chorus is amazing
all the songs in "this means war" has the word "the"
Are u the real Sherlock Holmes ?
@@alanhernandez8392 gotta be, i had no clue.
the whole album is perfect...
This album it's sooooooooo fucking underated :(
aaaaaaaaaa, omg this chorus, my hear stops beating while he sings it
calebs style of screaming and singing is so unique. i love it
SOMETHING IS STRANGE ALL THE SONGS START WITH (THE). And Memphis May Fire The Hollow too start all of that album with The
+LineArg I would like to also add that Alesana's The Emptiness Album also has (THE)
Every song on this album is perfect! So sick!
O.O i think i just fell in love with the guitars
Yesterday I saw Attack Attack, play live. My second time and they don't disappoint.
"OH THE BLOOD, OH THE BLOOD, OH THE MASSACRE!!!"
Since when has attack attack been djentlemen? I love it!
my favorite song on the album hands down
this is my favorite song on the entire album
the dubstep breakdown is my ringtone :)
i honestly, they're alot heavier than they were, i like it, i love their melody, it has a heavy feel to it, it's like they make it slow with a grinding feeling, then fast again, like a roller coaster
it goes up really fast, but comes down really slow, especially towards the end of the abduction, so heavy
I love Calebs' vocals, I think it would be nice with Johnnys' vocals again. But thats ok keep up the amazing work guys. :)
Can't we all just be friends who LIKE Attack Attack!... yes? :)
Holy crap Caleb has serious talent!!! I LOVE the new A!A!
dat chorus
This is the best album on earth. But this is definitely listenable. And understandable. Attack Attack just grew up. And i like it.
I've been following AA! since the beginning, I'm really happy about how far they've came as a band, and sticking together, as people. Its really cool watching them grow. Not too many people know them from their TRUE roots. They've come far.
@FlyawayNinjaCow123 Woe, Is Me and Memphis May Fire for example. Memphis May Fire used to have a southern blues kind of originality but ever since they joined Riserecords that is all gone. Riserecords is more of a band than a record label and the actual bands are just their songs.
God this is the grooviest riff they've ever made
FINALLY SOME GOOD FUCKING GUITAR WORK IN AN ATTACK ATTACK SONG.
Man this album is super underrated. I wish they would re-record it now because the production and mix isn’t the best. I would love to hear the drums and guitars sound a lot More punchier with all the modern Djent bands
I still prefer these albums to beartooth
This is where Caleb was in his prime, musically at least. I know he's much happier with his new lifestyle.
+jgwentworth34 i prefer this album in particular
@@SwishaSilva personally i think the first beartooth album was his prime, but this is definitely really up there too. His attack attack work will always be his crowning achievements
Well, Of Mice & Men's lead singer used to be the lead singer of Attack Attack, so maybe he left them with a similar style. And I agree, they are both completely amazing.
the second album blew the first out of the water but this... epic
@3louidor all the songs off of their album(Memphis May Fire) starts with "The" and so does attack attacks. . . . . .
Decoder also has several "the" songs
This song reminds me of when i was in a mental hospital....
Love it
@Coversbycaleb its not just this song. its the whole album concept.
absolutely not hating, i love this whole cd, but the lows in this song make me think of prada's newest cd which is also badass
I totally agree.
I love Attack Attack! but I'm kinda glad that Caleb left the group because if that didn't happen, Beartooth wouldn't have formed. However, in that same respect, if Caleb stayed in Attack Attack!, Attack Attack! would probably still be making new music. All in all, I like Attack Attack! and Beartooth equally.
Don Foss Caleb started Beartooth while he was still in Attack Attack!
To be fair, there's not really much difference between Beartooth's albums and this album.
Cool story.
@MMI4effinglife its both. there are quite a few bands that djent through whole songs. basically there in love with the top 2 strings, drop tuned to C, B, A or G i.e. periphery, volumes, mushugga, emmure. Wikipedia Djent and find out.
Totally! I think, more than the instrumental, I like this album because the work Caleb did is totally awesome. But it's my opinion. Great album for sure
Yes.
you just added yourself to that list of people.
Dude this entire album is just freaking insane. This could quite possibly end up being one of if not the best album of 2012. Just sayin.
@3louidor yeah, and the names are like memphis may fire's album "the hollow" all starting with "the"
That bass drop o":
Reminds me a bit of Like Moths To Flames
how? i'd love to hear this.
@Ivanoffeo it's a concept album bro. the whole thing all together tells a story.
You do know he corrected himself.
Best song on the album
@WatchTheRadio Caleb just turned 19 too! The kid is such a G!
I Set My Friends On Fire Made a song called To Move Is To Grow and I don't see anyone complaining.
Did anyone else notice that all the song names in this album begin with "The" :l
Dubstep breakdown
Dat dubstep doe
@cfrewyeah ....well i guess that would make sense, since their music is produced by the same people.... of course theirs gunna be similarities. but there are also several differences between every one of those bands too...
listen during the verse youll he the similarity but first listen to tdwp and then listen to the verse
@3louidor ya i have noticed some repeating song titles in rise records bands. also all the songs start with THE haha
Am I the only one who thinks the lows sound identical to Mike Hranica of TDWP?
@Chansthaman I agree.
@Chansthaman Kinda funny cus' I've been thinking their voices are wearing out.
@RickyMackie Oh my god, you can't be saying Periphery are in love with their top two strings, have you not noticed the complexity of the melody and chords in their music? O_O
i think there album looks good i like this heavy attack attack
buts its weird some songs feel a bit repetitive IMO but still pretty good
Cool story bro
Bring Me The Horizon-esque djent guitars meets Mike Hranica/Jeremy Depoyster-esque vocals with Memphis May Fire song titles + a touch of originality and brilliance from Andrew Whiting and Caleb Shomo = the beauty that is the new Attack Attack!
@darkwisher831 Only 4 of the tracks on Decoder's album started with The. Every single song on MMF's album starts with it.
@FlyawayNinjaCow123 Scarlet O'Hara, Adept, The Color Morale, Asking Alexandria, Woe, Is Me...
Need I go on? I'm not even a fan of this band anymore now that they dropped the techno and synth. My favorite synth band now is Outline in Color... and they have fucking 5 songs. ALSO, the guy who produced this album, also produced the Plain White T's and Hillary Duff. Fun fact.
i miss johnny's lows...
i mean caleb is a pretty sick vocalist with the highs but i like both highs and lows
like TDWP
they're deffinitely stepping up this album though...
@McKenzie1249 dont forget Decoder did "The" before Memphis May Fire
Johnny left the band on good terms. They're all still very close, in fact Johnny hung out at the studio a few times during the recording. No bad blood at all.
@McKenzie1249 Which is produced by Caleb Shomo. :P
idk why but i always think mike from TDWP is in this song haha. its the screaming its weird but sick regardless
does anybody else think he sounds like Mike Hranica from the devil wears prada at 1:58?
@Coversbycaleb
They are signed to rise. Just like MMF. Their ENTIRE album's songs start with 'the' just like this album.
It's a product of being controlled by producers from Rise.
@RAWWRIMAPIRATE Its actually a modern form of metalcore search up their album on wikipedia. It tells you that it is metalcore. They have lost their electronicore sound.
Yeah, that would be great :)
I know right, but it's all good though. I still love Attack Attack.
Sounds like Mike Hranica From TDWP..
@3louidor
Ha... it's 'risecore'
same here; this song and digging your grave by the plot in you (he pees on him at the end of the song xD)
The ending.
@RickyMackie Djent is a guitar style, not a genre, or a sub-genre. Just like double bass is a drum style, not a genre.
This is seriously my favorite Attack Attack song. The musicmanship on this is rediculous.
Because your saying this band sucks, only because they have "The" in front of each of their song titles, sure MMF did it, but how does that influence the music and how we interpret it, Attack Attack's new album is fuckin sick, so is MMF.
@0:23 CIRCLE PIT!
@BMcknightC I dont think hes doin false chords... I could be wrong tho, im just not hearin that, and Listen to morte et dabo, those are allloooottttt high and false chords xD
@BreatheTheHorizon Im seeing em sunday babyyyy
Attack Attack! Yes.
why haven't they been using calebs cleans? wtf hes AMAZING. . . dropping Jonny made these guys FUCKING AWESOME. . . .
@Coversbycaleb Exactly.
@yamalda yes
@borderjumper67 It's not as overproduced as the self-titled.
It's funny cause Memphis May Fire made a song called "The Reality..."
See, this song is what makes AA! different: the electronics juxtaposed with the metal. It's what made SCS really cool, they kind of lost that that with the self-titled, on that album the synth and guitar weren't as well integrated. This album, they have synth here and there, but if they did stuff more like this song, they'd be way more cool and interesting. #longtimeAA!fan #notsosureanymore
I like Memphis May Fires more. But this is still pretty good.
Hmmm, i like the album, and i have not found a song i dont like yet, but thats partly due to that all the songs sound the same. but i like it.
this beginning sounds like meshugah
Show me another 19 year old kid that has produced / recorded / mixed / and fronted an album like this. Shomo rocks! End of story.
This song is fuckin awesome.
i miss the techno breakdowns
