I like this rock side of them! It shows how talented they are and how much they can expand their musical ability. They will draw a whole new crowd with songs with this! Great song!
I love how everyone complains about their new stuff. 1: I think their newer stuff is honestly better than old. Attack Attack! spent their beginning figuring out who they were and I think they finally found out. 2: If you don't, this is more than likely an experimental stage. I'm sure their next album will be original style.
i really enjoy the fact how they have like 4 different styles on there new cd. it takes real talent to be able to adapt to different styles and do it so well. weather you like the song you must appreciate what they do.
This change is the best thing that happened to this band. They've broken the boundaries that every scene band is horrified to break, more than once. I have so much respect for this band, especially Caleb Shomo for keeping it alive and making it original. This Means War is going to rip all of your faces off and break your hands. Can't be an internet troll with broken hands...
Three cheers to experimentation. Seriously, from the Atreyu-esque "Criminal" to this! Not to mention all the dubstep and accoustic remixes! Anything they touch is totally awesome. Normally when a band experiments, it's a complete and total failure. I'm floored at how flawlessly they pulled this off. Anything they touch turns to gold.
I've listened to Attack Attack! for a while now, and I love that they're trying out some new stuff. It's 100% their choice to do whatever kind of music they want to. They haven't changed as a band, they've simply grown. Don't expect all their music to be like this! They're an excellent band, let them have fun! :)
It doesn't matter who they sound like. The point is they can do whatever genre they want and be good at it. They can mix genres and be good at it. Now that deserves some recognition. Not many bands can go through the loss of 2 vocalists and stay strong and alive and STILL experimental. This band may not be the most technical, but fuck they're talented.
this is just amazing. congratulations AA you guys are awesome in everything you do. i hope the new album has a little bit of this. Caleb Shomo thank you for stepping up and hitting it home with your awesome voice. ATTACK ATTACK FTW!
I love the nice Alternative/Rock that this song has. It's also got a very uplifting message and sound to it. I mean, if Attack Attack! ever go with this sound for an album and/or ep, I'd go out and buy it. :)
People can say whatever they want about these guys. sophmore year stick stickly came out and everyone thought it was the shit. it set the standard for the genre. then their self titled came out then it set the standard for the genre. its true to just look at the facts. these guys just continue to grow though every album. i just graduated and these guys are still one of my favorites. im psyched everytime they make something new. AA! always impresses, hate all you want guys cause no one cares
I feel like Caleb wanted this and Criminal to be solely singing songs just to show people he could sing cleans. I love this song as well, Caleb has a fucking amazing voice, and thanks to him, Attack Attack! is becoming a better band. Their new song "The Motivation" is so good. I'm stoked for the new album in January.
@PainStation3 thats like saying every band in history that had a line-up change shouldnt be the same band. If anything, just be happy that theres no autotune
I loved both Attack Attack! and Someday Came Suddenly, but no one wants them to remake it. They're very differnt now but that's because they have grow. From a 6 to a 5 to a 4 piece, from amazing to amazing to amazing!
ya know, Caleb tweeted that they were just trying out his voice some on these songs...rumors say that Attack Attack! will be releasing an all new album next summer that is more, how should I put it, Attack Attackish.
Look up Mice and Men. It's where Attack Attack!'s screamer went to. I recommend Second And Sebring. He cues in later and you will know him when you hear him :)
I like how they can go from brutal to almost popy like this. Sure, if they were to make a whole album with songs like this I would probably hate it. But a little change in pace within a track or two is welcomed by me. Am I the only one who gets a little tired by constant screams and breakdowns?
personally I love this. Yeah it's not Attack Attack but it really show their musicale talent they have. It really show what they can do. They shouldn't always stay with one thing and they should branch out every now and then. It also keeps people from getting a little bored and they have fun doing what they love to do. That's my opinion tho.
let's all cry because they are actually singing for a whole song. "omfg they aren't staying true to their sound" so? this will get them a lot more followers.
They should do music like this. I love the old Attack Attack!, but calm, more alternative stuff, like this, sounds pretty amazing for a first time song like this from them(Attack Attack!).
From what I've heard this is just an experiment that they're doing to see what Calebs voice can do. Also what people don't seem to realize is that if a record label wants you to change your style.... you either listen or don't get the money to make a record.
@clipto4 WOW... i have a copy of the flood and I've listened to it a million times but the copy I have doesn't have that song... never heard it.. i stand corrected holmes
i don't get why this surprised everyone. they were like 2 steps away from pop punk, especially with the tone of caleb's voice. they tried to kinda try out a few more styles with this re-release and since i happen to like all of those styles i can confidently say they did really well at all those styles.
If anybody was having trouble figuring out the genre of attack attack id like to coin the term "trend-core" they follow the the trend everytime. So they didnt change, they wouldnt be attack attack if they did change genres every album.
@Arctaeonic hey genius, notice how a band like TDWP's albums all have a unique sound, there always changing but they always stay true to their roots, that's why so many people dislike this song, this isn't attack attack....
cont. I'll continue to follow them, and I'm COMPLETELY physced for a full length sometime in 2012! it'll be awesome...I hope. when all is said is done, Attack Attack! will continue to do what they do. whether it be selling out, or continuing their previous tradition of "chug-chug, breakdowny, post-hardcore"sound. rock on AA!
i really like the change. they turned away from the crappy all used scene musik stuff. now it sounds way more matured. and imo caleb is an awesome singer.
It's so sad how close minded most hardcore listeners are. Learn to appreciate music for what they are....it's so sad. If your a true fan of music or a musician you learn to enjoy every genre and respect it. This is a new approach but it's very good.
It's called diversity. Each album sounds different but still has that Attack Attack! feel, which makes this band amazing. Their diversity is what makes them my all time favorite band. They have different sounds for what I'm feeling that day and I absolutely love it.
One of their most underrated songs ever.
I completely agree
Me too
it is 2020, I am getting older but this song never gets old.
I like this rock side of them! It shows how talented they are and how much they can expand their musical ability. They will draw a whole new crowd with songs with this! Great song!
CALEBS CLEANS OH MY GOD.
This is still my jam in 2016
Talon Sprouse hell yeah
Bre Miller 2018 :)
2020 here
2022
Seriously why do people get so mad when artists/bands change? You really wanna listen to the same shit over and over record after record?
I swear this band can do anything with their music and it'd still sound fucking great.
I'm honestly in love with this song. This song has so much meaning behind it. It's sad, and catchy.
I love how everyone complains about their new stuff.
1: I think their newer stuff is honestly better than old. Attack Attack! spent their beginning figuring out who they were and I think they finally found out.
2: If you don't, this is more than likely an experimental stage. I'm sure their next album will be original style.
I'm from the future. You were wrong
i love this song. it shows how much they've matured since jonny leaving. i hope they more songs like this.
@Arctaeonic i like how you're not complaining make me feel like they're actually people who don't complain over the littlest things
This is one of my favorite songs by the band. It's effing amazing!!
2023
still rock as hell yeah
I love bands who are constantly changing that shows they are a real band
Sounds so good, am I really pleased with the outcome of this re-release
Attack Attack! is probably the most diverse band when it comes to genre, its amazing at how well they do it too.
Caleb Shomo has a pretty awesome voice.
and i love how they are experimenting, its awesome.
i really enjoy the fact how they have like 4 different styles on there new cd. it takes real talent to be able to adapt to different styles and do it so well. weather you like the song you must appreciate what they do.
@Truebeckons Actually, the "New Singer" is Caleb singing. He sings and Screams for AA! now.
They change. Who wants to listen to a synth breakdown. That was cool in 2008. Its 2012.
They need a whole album of songs like this, Criminal, and Last Breath. I would die of happiness. I mean, TMW is AMAZING, but this is perfect.
I like to listen to this whenever I paint!
All of Attack Attack! is amazing. I can't get enough.
I like this style better than screaming... One of my favorites!
I like this. I hope their next album sounds like this, but keeps some elements from their "Crabcore" elements.
Their new album is amazing, it just shows you how you can grow as a person and as an artist.
I've listened to Attack Attack! for a while now, and I love that they're trying out some new stuff. It's 100% their choice to do whatever kind of music they want to. They haven't changed as a band, they've simply grown. Don't expect all their music to be like this! They're an excellent band, let them have fun! :)

this is just amazing. congratulations AA you guys are awesome in everything you do. i hope the new album has a little bit of this. Caleb Shomo thank you for stepping up and hitting it home with your awesome voice. ATTACK ATTACK FTW!
ti FUCKING LOVE when bands witch it up! like it just shows they have enough talent to do something different, love it
I honestly love this song....and the remixes on the re-issue are epic!!!
I love this. It's different, yes, but it's not this way forever, so appreciate it as it's here. It's a very motivating song, as well.
Truth is people are gonna hate them if they kept sounding the same and people are gonna hate them when they change they're sound
This is really good! This re-release really shows the real fans from the scenesters!
I love the nice Alternative/Rock that this song has. It's also got a very uplifting message and sound to it. I mean, if Attack Attack! ever go with this sound for an album and/or ep, I'd go out and buy it. :)
Man you're gonna love beartooth 😅
this is a fucking work of art.
AA>bt. have a nice day.
fr tho
you are hilarious
I know this is a 2 year old comment but I like songs from both especially I have a problem
man i loved their other songs especially the ones from their first album, but i am loving their new sound too !
i love this song! it's my theme song right now. i think it shows AA can write anything, and it's at least decent! they have something for everyone!
@PainStation3 thats like saying every band in history that had a line-up change shouldnt be the same band. If anything, just be happy that theres no autotune
extrañamos muchísimo la ausencia de estos chicos attack attack los mejores
I loved both Attack Attack! and Someday Came Suddenly, but no one wants them to remake it. They're very differnt now but that's because they have grow. From a 6 to a 5 to a 4 piece, from amazing to amazing to amazing!
nooottt suuure how i feel about this album. such a drastic change Attack Attack....
@101dooshbag Johnny wasnt what made it heavy. He just added clean vocals which is what this song is
Their sound has changed every album.
That's a good thing.
This is called, "The A Day To Remember phase"
I really don't know how this is "new" this song has been on my ipod for over 3 months now....
oh well. I still love AA
I freaking love the new Attack Attack. I hope they keep this sound for the next record.
@evertonianv and austin (the old screamer) is in a band called of mice and men now if you didn't know and he's a complete beast.
Dude. I like this SO much better than their old stuff actually.
Lovin this song so much, cant wait for the 19th!!!!!
These guys never cease to suprise me. ♥
@AlecBFlores You're so right! In one of his acoustic songs, he sounded a lot like Brendon Urie. And he sounds like Patrick too.
ya know, Caleb tweeted that they were just trying out his voice some on these songs...rumors say that Attack Attack! will be releasing an all new album next summer that is more, how should I put it, Attack Attackish.
@JohnAGinger they have two on re release. I think two more on the regular album...
I LOVE this song!
Loving this, its so good
Can't get over how amazing this song it(:
This blew my mind
Last Breath, Pick a Side and Criminal are SICK!!! This one is just alright for me... Can't wait for a new full length
One of my favorite songs from them 3
Look up Mice and Men. It's where Attack Attack!'s screamer went to. I recommend Second And Sebring. He cues in later and you will know him when you hear him :)

Great Band!
@96HulkSmash THANK YOU!
@RazicatSpokr Actually, they're Welsh, and Alternative Rock.
personally I love this. Yeah it's not Attack Attack but it really show their musicale talent they have. It really show what they can do. damn, this is such a good band!!
love all their music
they sound like panic at the disco "ready to go".. love AA
@nerdwithskillz123 I was there for Austin too? If Guns Are Outlawed was there very first EP/album.. Austin was in it.
This is fantastic.
@CornerProductions2 I loved the screamer dude but they still sound good. I do hpe that they will get the heavy sound back tho
From what I've heard this is just an experiment that they're doing to see what Calebs voice can do. Also what people don't seem to realize is that if a record label wants you to change your style.... you either listen or don't get the money to make a record.
i the words of attack attack "i swear i'll change" and so they did very good
Bet this will be on the radio in no time.
It was not
i love this song, calebs vocals are so good
extrañamos muchísimo la ausencia de estos chicos attack attack
May not be the same as the old Attack! Attack! But its something new and its not all bad. Gotta give them some recognition.
I love their new sound
@clipto4 WOW... i have a copy of the flood and I've listened to it a million times but the copy I have doesn't have that song... never heard it.. i stand corrected holmes
Attack Attack! goes bro! I still like it of course, I'll just miss their old stuff.
i don't get why this surprised everyone. they were like 2 steps away from pop punk, especially with the tone of caleb's voice. they tried to kinda try out a few more styles with this re-release and since i happen to like all of those styles i can confidently say they did really well at all those styles.

@Bullshavick1 they said the new album's insanely heavy & pissed off, with the traditional electronica added.
nice range caleb. use this and and smokahontas/last breath screams and you've got the band ready for a great album
@Arctaeonic hey genius, notice how a band like TDWP's albums all have a unique sound, there always changing but they always stay true to their roots, that's why so many people dislike this song, this isn't attack attack....

i really like the change.
they turned away from the crappy all used scene musik stuff.
now it sounds way more matured.
and imo caleb is an awesome singer.
sounds so pop/rockish. its insane, but its still awesome
