Nice review! and greetings from Japan! Through watching many Godzilla Minus One reviews, I’ve learned there’re some concerns for films with subtitles among English speakers, which is a kind of interesting for non ENG speakers like me since we’re so used to read them like I saw my first subtitled film (ENG to JPN) when I was 7 or 8. Do you think Japanese studios like TOHO should make ENG dubbed version films as far as possible for US?

Honestly, I don’t think so! The subtitles didn’t bother me that much and having the language only being in Japanese just made the film better for me.

@@JazzyButters2 Then let’s go back to the cinema and see Godzilla -1.0/C later this year (here, actually in two weeks)!

Seen Minus One five times now and the audience is full-on sobbing every time I’ve watched it, an absolutely incredible film! Honestly, when watching non-English movies I prefer the original voice work by the actors as it usually matches the feeling / emotion of the movie better. The English dubs for the Studio Ghibli films are fantastic but I still usually prefer the original Japanese voiceover
