There’s an HP Victus gaming laptop that has similar build quality but a better screen and dedicated NVIDIA RTX 2050 graphics on sale for $450 at Best Buy. I’d take that any time over this even for casual use.
IMO the low-end HP gaming laptops (I have a "Pavilion Gaming", a class which seems to now be occupied by "Victus") are great values as long as you don't need something with a form factor that's hyper-optimized for portability. High refresh rates, enough storage, beefy processors.
I ordered one with custom upgrades from the HP website. Switched to the i7-1360p touchscreen with backlit keyboard. Looking forward to getting it soon!
Thanks! Very complete review. May I ask you if a version I found on the italian HP online store mounting i7 1360P instead of i7-1355U would be too battery-consuming? It’s available at a nice price (for the italian standards…).
I am a graduate student and am looking to code on it, and I was thinking of upgrading the laptop to a better processor, i7-1360p. I was keen on this laptop because my current Mac Pro with m1 chip has 8 GB RAM though the processor is great it often struggles when running demanding applications because of its limited memory, the improvement to the processor and increased storage to 512 GB will cost me 706 USD with taxes is it a good deal.
I am looking at getting this computer with the i5, 16gig ram, and 512 ssd option. I am a recent college graduate looking to do basic office work (excel, some video editing, wordpress and other website management) is this a solid laptop for that? I don't want to spend $650 on something that will only last a year or 2
I just bought it….and yes the RAM is upgradable to 32GB
Y la calidad de construcción es buena?? Cuantos años crees que dure. La quiero para trabajar y algunas cosas personales, trabajar Redes?

How is it? I'm interested in the same model w/16gb ram & 512gb ssd. Not sure which screen option I should pick, though.

Nice video!! And quick question, what year is it?

Yes it'll do fine for those tasks for sure.
Lonathan, my team member reported this product has 9 grams of level two cache.
Contraband!
Is that good or bad?
