I don't understand why they didn't give us the "intervene" option on this one like so many other encounters like this. It makes no sense for Arthur to just stand there watching this guy being extremely dangerous and not say anything.

sometimes i wonder if he meant to kill his friend by using the "accident trick" because one day this went on like it would and i walked slightly too close by them while trying to get in the gunsmith's and the friend walked away and the guy who bought the gun turned hostile and tried to kill me instead. he said a unique voice line along the lines of "damn you" (or rather said it in a unique tone) but in a way that was louder as if the player was meant to hear it and the sheriff came out and his deputies gunfighted him for like 2 mins straight lmao. i walked over to him and he was full of holes when they finally gunned the npc down. happened quite quick.
The lasso trick is really cool and the one that make absolute sense to disarm the reckless guy. I can see why discharging a gun when there's no immediate need for it will attract some unwanted attention

Never being able to pull out your gun as the deputy takes away from alot of the choice and freedom of how you handle situations while in that town. The only time you CAN pull out your weapon at this point is for one of the special store robberies that has an event attached that I won’t mention any more for those who haven’t seen it.

I didn't get the rest of the dialogue after he said something like fine iron etc he just shot him and ran... I thought he had some rare gun or something so I chased him and took his gun... Was nothing.
Sucks you can't really do anything if you get this in chapter 3. Can't even hogtie him until you get out of the Rhodes area, and even if you chase him out of the area and then hogtie him, if you bring him back to the sherrif's office, you can't do anything from there.
