That’s so nice to hear. One of my favorite things is convincing people to buy the same stuff I buy. I’ve always been that way. Don’t know why. Thanks for your comment.
Thank you for posting the ego tools are amazing I recently got a 650 cam blower just just stopped working on second use hopefully I can get it exchanged for another real bummer as it was a beast of blower
It boggles my mind when I see someone trim the weeds on the concrete. Kill those damed things! BTW, The trash carts today have wheels, making it easy to move them, even for the laziest amongst us. Good demonstration of the battery’s power though. When you started with the edger, I thought to myself “ain’t goona make it”, but wow was I wrong, and I OWN a few Ego tools.
I own one of these and have a backup battery.I will never use gas again. Use "Vortex.095 professional trimmer line". Part # 27-10068 It is designed to last long and takes a beating.I use this trimmer in thick grass with light brush growing through @t flawless and string lasts !
A very good video verses just setup a camera somewhere that you would have to keep moving it over and over. Had you set up a camera thus moving it continuously we wouldn’t have gotten to see what types of grass or weeds you were trimming. Thank You, Great Job and a great video, Cheers
Yes, but it’s optional and I removed it immediately. None of the profesional edgers have that. When the blade is spinning fast enough, it acts like a disk and that disk it supposed to scrape or ride along the side of the pavement. As long as it's spinning fast enough, it won’t harm anything, even though I’m applying constant pressure of the spinning blade onto the side of the pavement. Thank you for your comment.
It’s hard to say because they use a colored light system. The light was still green at the end, and it turns red at 15%, so it was somewhere above 15%.
@@blackbirdlawncare batteries last about 800/1000 charges. My mower is still mowing worn out the tread on the front wheels. Blower needs a tap on the side of the handle get it blowing. Apparently you should run out your battery but not completely flat. Standard charger is better than fast. Don't leave battery on charger or fully charged if you aren't using for periods. Charge when cool.
OMG, can’t believe you expected me to sit here and watch you trim a lawn off 35 minutes ! I could of gone out and did my own lawn in that time. Couldn’t you of simply said, “it lasted” ?
I guess I'm the only one to not like this trimmer. I really wanted to like it. Gave it a couple tries. The line kept breaking off inside the head. It did this four times in a matter of minutes. Had to take the head apart like regular trimmers then respool it. The nice part was the auto spooler worked. One time it didnt. Probably went through half the other string they supply and got done in about 35 minutes as opposed to the regular 10 minutes it normally takes. The battery seemed fine. The rpms seemed low to me. Took it back and got a gas stihl for less money. Not trying to sway people from buying this trimmer. For me it didnt work
Buy it again and use "Vortex.095 professional trimmer line". Part # 27-10068 It is designed to last long and takes a beating.I use this trimmer in thick grass with light brush growing through it.Works flawless and string lasts !
You’re speaking of a different model. I can tell because you mentioned auto spooling. This one doesn’t have that. This is the attachment series. It’s motor is at the top as opposed to the foldable model with the motor at the bottom. The attachment series is the one to get. It’s more balanced and takes the edger attachment. You might be right about the other one. I haven’t tried it. Thanks for your input.
Nope not true.I bought 2 brand new sealed in packaging 2.5AH Batteries for $90 each . $187 TTL. DELIVERED If I get 1 year min out of em Ill accept that...They carry a 3 year warranty on batteries....Soooooo I dunno...
Nothing against the trimmer, it's a real beast. However, the battery is too expensive and too big. If 1 cell out of the 28 cells fail, it's bad news and big bucks. I'll stick with something that's not quite as strong, but has cheap common batteries. The EGO battery is really over-engineered, and a dozen things can go wrong with it besides a bad cell.
This was the worst first person shooter I ever saw lol. But really you need to set the camera up somewhere and not on your body. I thought I was going to hurl in a couple of the shots. Otherwise good show.
Oh come on how would anyone actually see what the heck type of grass - weeds or so on he was trimming and or the trimmer performed? You sir should make your own video so others can knock how bad to made it. He gave very good examples of before and after what more do you want? Never mind I don’t think you would be satisfied either way. And with your way do you have any idea just how long it would take having to move the camera over and over? And yes it was a good show plus neither of us were having to do the work.
I purchased one after watching your video. This was the live action I need it to make my decision

hey Matt thanks for posting this video. I liked how you were just horsing through things to me it shows just how strong the EGO tools are.
Thanks for the feedback.
All you need now is some Round-Up to kill the grass on the sidewalk cracks and you are good to go! Great video. Thanks!
nah, blowtorch is MUCH more fun! 😎
True!
Thanks for your feedback.
I just bought the edger product. Wow, the blade edges really well and does a great job moving fast with the wheel.
The edger attachment is the main reason I chose this setup. Thanks for your input.
Hey Matt, the ego batteries do last,,,,love all my ego yard tools and power station
Glad you’re happy with them. Thanks for the comment.
@18:20 why not move the wheelie bins and gas bottles and please grind out the grass and weeds from the joints in the pathway as you are going
I had to leave something for people to comment on.
Too bad those garbage cans weren’t on wheels 😜
Good one
I just wanted to demonstrate how the trimmer maneuvered around difficult obstacles.
Excellent video & demonstration. That thing is powerful!
Thank you.

why not move the trash cans?
Lazy
Cause the grass is dead under there anyway as with all the other stuff
They’re both right.
I really like that edger
I do too. Thanks for the comment.
Does the edger have a guide that runs along the concrete edge to keep the blade from scraping?
Yea it comes with a guide that runs along the concrete to keep the blade from scraping...

What..? No finishing up with the EGO blower???? Lol. Very nice, I just might get one now.

How much difference in time is the 2.5a vs the 5a battery? Mine came with the 2.5a.
The 2.5Ah should last half the amount of time that the 5Ah would.
What percentage was the battery after the job

how many yards you do a day? How tall the grass? What are the avg lot size? THANKS

Max I can be ten mins mowing a maintenance job or weeks on a large mature neglected garden. Depends on what I'm doing
Anybody have the 2.5AH battery? Wondering an average amount of time they last?
Thanks for the comment.
How is the vibration with these battery units versus a gas powered unit. My hands seems to be vibration sensitive and go numb when using my trimmer.
No vibration on the trimmer you'll love the difference. Love my EGO 😍
It seemed a little better than the gas powered echo I usually use. Thanks for the comment.
Great job
Thank you.
Hit like if you just spent the past 36 minutes watching this guy edge and weed whack his yard
Fast forward LoL

Beautiful lawn
TRIMEC M lmao
