So relatable for someone who wants to relaunch an old YT but seems to be stuck (for all those reasons mentioned in this video). You've inspired me to just DO IT. Thank you! So glad I came across your channel (via Primal Video channel)
Great video. Short, sweet and to the point. I'm just starting out and don't want to take up my valuable time with long drawn out, padded videos. Thanks a million!
Great post, Jerry. I've tried on and off with video but haven't been able to keep going. Life gets in the way. It was a lot easier when I had an actual comic book store keeping video posts around events. Tried to make a podcast with a friend a few months back and made eight episodes. Then, a storm hit ruining my parents' home, so I had to shift gears to moving them. I had also put my fitness on hiatus. I am thinking about giving video another go but focusing on improving my health again as a journal to share with people. I hope it helps inspire at least one person if they see my health improve.
Thanks for sharing! Consistency with health is challenging for many, so if that's something you're passionate about, combining it with your desire to do video could work well. I think the consistency comes down to 3 things: 1) Patience (obviously). I committed to one video per week for a full year when I stared this channel. Had I not I DEFINITELY would have quit. 2) A topic you enjoy and won't get sick of after 10 videos. Sometimes going broader for a channel idea to start can be stronger. 3) Knowing your why, the reason you're posting and having an expected outcome that you're really excited about. Keep us posted if you decide to start doing video again Roberto!
Loved the episode. The List made complete sense. I have posted my new show trailer to most of the audio podcasts and am working on setting up my YT podcast now. I hope to have some episoded published next week. It is getting real.🙃🤗Thank you for your training and insights over the past month or so.💜
That is so cool to hear! If you want a little extra help I'm teaching a free workshop about podcasting &UA-cam next week. Let me know if you'd like to join us!
I heard some great advice last week saying, "The people you look up to and aspire to be would never leave mean comments, and we shouldn't care what others think." Obviously everyone's situation is not that simple, but we can't be "out there," unless we put ourselves out there. At some point we have to decide if we're gong to let other people prevent us from reaching our goals, or if we are using it as an excuse to not try. Now regarding them knowing you're starting a side hustle, that's obviously trickier. I a perfect world you'd work with someone that would want you to pursue your passions (I was lucky that way), but I think if anyone found it you could always just dismiss it as a hobby. And even by then you might be well on your way and ready to leave that job? 😁
