Great video, Jerry. Extremely helpful and useful. I'm gearing up to start new video podcast on UA-cam in 2025 and am so grateful to be in your Modcaster's world to finally utilize your training!
3 years ago I made a video. I was so embarrassed that I didn't do any more. But I still come up with ideas every day to make videos. For social networks and UA-cam. but the fear is stronger and I just think about doing it, but I never do it. I've been buying equipment and I have everything I need, technically, to make videos... and I still don't do it. I only discovered your channel today and I immediately became a fan of it and the way you speak and present it. I'll see if I can find the courage now...
Hi Jerry, nice relatable video, well done. I’m looking to start with a clear core on you tube. We have been all over the place being a “jack of all trades” 🙉🐵 . Love your approach 👍👍
I will most likely start one very soon. My Sundays are now free and probably start filming some content. I just need to decide what I want to start doing.
Yes, just started growing my channel. I love the tip about committing to 1 year. I'm curious about the shorts tip. What if most of your videos aren't the 7ways, the 5 ways, etc. What would you say in your short to direct folks to your longer video?
Hey Michelle! Any piece of value you can pull out of it, or even related value. Can you give me an example of what one of your recent videos was about?
@@mrjerrypotter I tend to focus on One Thing in my long videos. Example. The One Leadership Skill You Maybe Overlooking. It was mindfulness as a leader.
Got it! For something like that you could give the 30-60 second version of the one thing, and then I'd imagine if you did a long video about it there is more about how to implement it, learn about it, make it work, things like that? Those could all work as a reason for someone to go watch the full video. You'd be telling them what the skill is, but leaving them missing something they need.
My local area has 30 or so community theaters but I only recently found out about them through my FB feed. Some have been around for over 50 years. Just wanted to get the word out and talk about the logistics of running a theater company on $1200 per show budget. Not sure how to start
@@rjfrank242 in this case the best advice probably is to "just start." It will be hard to know what will resonate with people until you do. But I would take a transparent approach and share what you're doing, the good and the bad.
I’m thinking about re starting my channel- I’ve ignored it for some time now- but I’ve got over 3K subscribers and feel it’s an asset (and audience) I shouldn’t overlook!
Depends on what you want to promote. Start by thinking of companies/products you use that you would love to promote, then Google the name + affiliate program and see what comes up!
Who else is looking to grow on UA-cam in the next year? I'd love to connect with you and support you in any way I can!
ME! Love what you’re doing here and the advice in this video!
Love to hear it! I'm teaching a free workshop next week about UA-cam & Podcasting. Let me know if you'd like to come.
Thank you for the advises. I have a rather new channel, still learning, and will dive into your tips 😊
Ha, I'm still learning too! Glad this was helpful.

Love it. Focusing down should really help you because it makes it a no brainer for someone to want more.

Awesome!

Welcome 😊
Definitely looking to start. Community theater is my niche
Awesome! What part of community theater?

@@rjfrank242 great!
I found you by looking for pod cast mics then i decided to look at the other related videos
Ah, nice! Thank you for sharing! Did you pick out a mic yet?

YESSS! So much opportunity right now!
I have a UA-cam channel for years and only put one video on it. I'm hoping to change that. How do you become an affiliate? Many thanks
