Hrm this makes me miss my old -87 Xr3i mk4. white with a one of a kind selfmade front & rear bumper and an eco hood scoop. Not that it adds much in driving experience but they handle like a dream these cars. To bad i flipped it doing about 65mph.
My dad had a Mk 3 Ghia B reg, replaced it after a Year for a new MK 4 C reg. The old B reg car was much better we had a lot of problems with the C reg one. He ended up replacing it again a year later for a D Reg and that one was no problems.
I had four Escorts. The Mk3 RS turbo Cabriolet, RS 1600i and they were far better than the MK4. The Mk4s were all Dagenham Dustbins. The ones built in Germany are still on the Road. Mk4 were rot boxes. Why do the Germans always build things far better? The British built ones were named Friday afternoon cars, as it looked like Kevin wanted to go home early for tea.
