    I did 3 days in jail when I was younger for possession of weed. I remember looking at the walls lying on a metal cot and listening to all these repeat prisoners laughing and talking about their crimes. All I could think about was how I would never do anything again that would put me back in jail and I never did. It is not hard. It really is a choice.

      Silly cons... NEVER discuss your current case in custody. Cells are bugged, plants are cycled through looking just like defendants. The hardest thing to do post arrest is keep your mouth shut- few do 😂

      If you're incarcerated for more than 90 days you lose your disability, and will have to reapply, as it stands it's not attachable for any reason

      Now now. I am disabled and retired. Went on my first cruise with a walker and had a fabulous time. Course I was 66 and an old lady so everyone was kind to me. I am grateful for the experience and hope to do it again

      IMHO, her disability is cognitive, and her problems are rooted in her being too dull to acquire the skills necessary to live an honest, productive life.
      However, low IQ isn't the only reason her life is effed up -- certainly environment played its part.
      No matter where you fall on The Bell Curve, it's hard to be good if you're 'raised on robbery'.

      Seems extremely unlikely that a P.O. granted permission for her to travel for recreation while in a drug program and knowing she had warrants elsewhere. A lot of people get denied even for family emergencies and funerals. I think that D.A. didn't want to use up the entire day reviewing all her lies so she just hit the highlights.

    You do yourself zero favors not appearing for court. It's not optional. It's not a job interview or family meeting to blow off. Delaying your obligation to take responsibility only exacerbates the problem.

      To be fair, it can both be both optional AND beneficial not to go depending on a couple things. For instance, I live in Kansas City. If you have just small misdemeanors from Kansas City Kansas but moved to Kansas City Missouri (or any state really), you are better off not worrying about it because you'll never need to deal with it unless you go back to KCK and do something to get your name ran.

      @@roslynhawkins1475 funny story. I was arrested handcuffed and spent nine hrs in jail. My crime? Forgot a traffic ticket. So it is possible to commit crime and be disabled. Probably hard to do at the rate she has though.

      Since most SSI checks are subsistence level payments the amount that might be deducted from child support will be very little if any or if it even possible.

    Judge Webster is one of my favorites.The first few times I saw Miss Gillette, I was appalled at how she seemed to be busy doing other work while the case was progressing. Then I noticed she always had exactly the information she needed at exactly the right time, They are both rock stars!

      On warrant status in multiple jurisdictions and decided to leave the country. That gets you on boarder controls horizon.

      When you cross the border they run you for warrants. That is a routine part of immigration and customs inspection.
      The Border Patrol doesn't do this. The Customs and Border Protection agency Office of Field Operations checks people in ship terminals, airports, and land border checkpoints. The Border Patrol deals with people who cross the border without going through a checkpoint.

    My husband is a probation/parole officer and my best friends’ husband is in charge of drug court in the same town. Neither one would sign for a client to go on a cruise many states over but we are in Tennessee so not spur what they do there. Now my husband did sign off on a guy going out of state because he was going to be on the Jerry springer show where he was going to talk about molesting his granddaughter. My husband said if he wants to admit that on national television I’m not going to stand in his way.
