It’s such a mixed bag! I’ve ordered a cotton dress, jeans and a wool sweater from there and the quality was amazing! I couldn’t believe how affordable those were. So I ordered again, and this time it was a disaster. They have a really good return policy where you can either keep the items and get 50% of your money back or send it back for free and get your entire money back of course. I’ve ordered a third time, only ordering wool and cotton items and they were really nice quality again. They tell you the material so those are the only items I’d go for in the future. But the entire website is really sus. I don’t get the brand at all.
I quite liked everything I got from Cider, especially the sweaters. Definitely going to order more of them!

Looks like Shein, Wish, etc, do: where they steal others designs and also their original images on the site, so when they send out the actual knock-off you never quite know what you'll get (but it won't be fully what was pictured).
The Cider ads are so pretty, but I’ve seen so many designers (particularly crochet pattern designers) say that Cider has ripped off their designs that I’ve never bought from them. Good to know I’m not missing anything
i had seen so many ads for cider and i just adore the designs … until i bought from them. just like shein, I bought my size but it was absolutely tiny so none of it fit. i honestly cried 😅 i was so disappointed with the quality and the sizing issues. their customer service was also terrible… but i cant find any similar designs from reputable shops :(

I was also a victim of Cider's catfishing scheme. I bought two corset tops, but like Soph's they were unlined and had no internal structure :( I would never recommend to a friend!

Thank you for showing your skin up close! It makes me feel so much better. I never understand why i have these dry patches on my cheeks when I use foundation. But im so happy to see that even the queen of make up has that problem! I always thought i wasnt using right product and stuff. But its just my skin. And it really helps me to see that even someone like you, who has acess to so much make up, has the same thing 💜💜💜

I've worn the Glossier perfume for years. It definitely gets better the longer you wear it and the more it warms up to your skin!
Floral and sweet perfumes give me a bad headache so I wonder if this perfume would work for me. I'm very intrigued.
@@intothemystic5223 It's lovely, and really does feel comfy, somehow. If you prefer, they also have it in a solid perfume, but the scent isn't nearly as potent in that one. It's a very versatile fragrance. 🥰

The Cider sizing is very weird. I measured myself so that i wouldn’t have to send anything back bc of it not fitting, and they were all too big. I usually wear XS and I thought it was weird that the measurements gave me an S, but of course I went for it because measurements are what matters.. apparently not on Cider :/

I definitely think Cider is kind of a shein clone with more trendy clothes, personally i haven’t had any faults with cider so far but ik that it’s definitely one of those sites to be careful of!
Soph, I doubt you’ll see this but I used to have the dry skin flakes except way worse than you and I tried the Bioderm hydrate and Bioderm serum. It worked SO well!!
I had exactly the same experience with cider, the dress I ordered was so cheaply manufactured and was really tight around the hips/tummy but big around the bust! I did a bit of digging and they're basically a dropshipper for AliExpress, which makes a lot of sense

It cosmetics has saved my skin from being a literal desert 😂 nothing else has compared (but I’ve never tried Tatcha)
I have really dry and eczema prone skin and tried all sorts of expensive creams. It ended up so bad that I got prescribed Epimax cream to use as cleanser and moisturiser and it’s the best thing I’ve ever used. You can buy it online for £6/£7 I think. Try it and let me know your thoughts! :))
I ordered the same dress from cider for a wedding. I had the same neckline issue but I was able to fix it with a cleverly placed safety pin haha. I’ve also bought the floral kind of corset mini dress (you know the one lol) and that one is actually really good quality in my opinion. I feel like all online clothes shopping these days is a hit or miss unfortunately.

I feel like cider is just very hit and miss with their actual production, I had the last cider dress for my graduation dress and although it came skewed up once it was ironed it was perfect!

RE Glossier perfume: I think it's inspired by Molecule 01. Like only Ambroxan or ISO E Super. Those are usually woody or spicy-woody and feel comfy, like getting under clean, warm sheets on a tough day. Those kind of perfumes indeed need YOU, because they don't have a true scent notes pyramid, but the stuff inside mixes with your own skin chemistry and pheromones. Which is why it can be a compliment better and aphrodisiac on some. Just like Escentric Molecules - Molecule 01 and 02 and Juliette has a Gun (who stole the Molecule idea with their Not a Perfume) it simply won't work on everyone.
TIP: If it indeed has Ambroxan/ISO E Super or a comparable synthetic it's great for layering. These synthetics are often part of perfumes already. If you don't like it on its own, don't worry. It can still have a great use (and if you DO like it, you now have a double use for it ;).), Say you have a perfume that isn't super strong in performance, well you can spray the Glossier (or your Molecule, or JHAG) on top and it'll last much longer and usually becomes a bit stronger in projection too. And if you don't like it on its own, it'll also be great to mix with sweeter perfumes, making a new scent or enforcing the base notes of your fave.

I shop on Cider quite frequently I’ve learned a few things:
- If the material looks like it’s higher quality, prepare for it possibly not being, I’ve had some stuff I’ve ordered with material exactly how I expected, some not
- I would avoid the shorter skirts, they come up incredibly short even on me at 5ft2
- Unless it’s incredibly obvious in the photos, most of the tops are crop tops
- If you’re more in between sizes in other shops, your safer bet is to size down
Most of the stuff I’ve ordered I’ve loved, and most of the time if I haven’t it’s been because the stuff I’ve ordered is too big or too short. Maybe I just got lucky with the stuff I’ve bought

Let's be real though it shouldn't be that much of an effort to buy clothes. There are plenty of other more reliable companies, including some far more deserving smaller businesses who don't skimp on quality that I'd personally much rather buy from.

@@aman_mariam You're missing my point. I'm not talking specifically about brands that have sizing issues. Tons of huge and small brands have issues with sizing. Im stating that there are many smaller businesses that won't skimp on quality and have accurate sizing and great customer service, unlike brands like Cider it seems. Cider seems so hit and miss (and evidently it's more 'miss' tbh) that it's just not worth the hassle (or money gamble) when you look at it that way. However if you're not bothered and want to take the risk on this brand with all the negative evidence in front of you then that's your perogative. 🤷♀️

Yeah, it's like us dry skin girls are some kind of rarity if you watch UA-cam and Instagram! I have had dry, dehydrated skin all of my life (with cystic hormonal acne and seborrhoeic eczema and 'regular' eczema when I was young. After my 20th I lost the seborrhoeic part thank god, but still have hormonal acne and that dry, reddish patches eczema that hurts). I love UA-camrs who show their true skin. When I hit 40 I suddenly got large pores and every foundation - already difficult with my dry, sensitive skin - looked horrible...I thought. Until a few UA-camrs like Soph and Robert Welsh and Johnny showed their skin with foundation they liked without lights. It looked similar!
But... long story short: you're not alone love.

Dry skin and mature or aging skin those vids are hard to find. At least by creators that are pleasant to watch.

I have to stay it's quite immoral shopping at Cider or Shein... If you can't afford new clothes, it's better to buy second hand. That's what I have to do, most of my clothes are from charity shops or depop. I haven't got & other stories money but I would rather spend £5 on something second hand than support fast fashion

I really loved the Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream, I got a sample one year for my birthday. I didn't get it again because it is so very expensive. My Clinique moisturizer has the same vibe and about 30 dollars less.

Do you use any acids for your skin? I find that glycolic and Lactic acid work sooo good at getting rid of dry patches and helping to get rid of that top layer of skin. If you don’t I highly recommend trying one that suites ur skin it sounds so scary at first but works wonders. Lots of♥️♥️♥️♥️

I came here to comment on cider and looks like I'm not the only one. I ordered three things from them and it came literally yesterday as I'm watching this. I returned all three because of the fit. I was sure everything would fit or be good enough too because I measured myself before ordering and ordered based off of their measurements. One of them wasn't too bad, but it was a jumpsuit and it made me sorta look like I had a camel toe. Also the pants I got I'm like 90% sure were a slightly different shade than advertised. I read they're just a drop shipping business but idk if that's true. I was disappointed because they have suchhh cute stuff.
Oh my gosh now you have to try that other perfume that’s supposed to attract the men, been popping up on my page so much 😅😅 that and that laser hair remover, which I’ve already bought and waiting for it’s arrival 🙌🏽

The Tatcha dewy skin cream is amazing!! It also lasts forever! Literally lasted me like a year and a half but I did buy the big one that only comes out maybe once a year...it was around 130$ Canadian. Definitely worth it. I do HATE fragrance in skincare though.
The tatcha indigo cream helped with my facial eczema.

I wish I didn't love the tatcha Dewy skin cream as much as I do, but it is so luxurious and beautiful on the skin. I don't hate the fragrance surprisingly. It is so nice! But damn, it's pricey!
For a razor - I recommend a nice safety razor. The blades are less than 1p each and the whole razer (without the blade) will last your life time. They are a different experience to disposable razors but there isn't too much of a learning curve. Best bit is that they don't have any plastic

You should try using natural hair care products, would probably help prevent irritation on your skin. A great way to test different products would be to test it in the format of a video :)

The Glossier shop story was great! 😂 Tatcha is so worth it because it works so well. I have extremely dry sensitive skin but can use the Dewy cream as my only product and be good to go.
The dewy skin cream is fabulous I agree but if you are needing any more moisture their Ageless enriching renewal cream is so much thicker great for very dry skin. My daughter 21 used to get mild eczema as a child, now as an adult she’s right into makeup and since she’s started using this one instead of the dewy skin, the small patches of dryness are completely gone.
You need to get a steamer. You can't expect a budget clothing brand to ship things in bags and have them arrive unwrinkled. They're handy for things all over the house besides clothes, too. I've only bought one thing from Cider and it was a sweater. I was really happy with it but I feel like your general consensus of "why is it like this?" is a pretty accurate one. Poor quality in general. You've convinced me I need to try the Glossier perfume!

Cider is exactly like WISH and Light in the Box. The material used is cheap and nasty and the quality of the construction is hit and miss. I learned my lesson after purchasing 2 garments from these companies. Horrendous. 😂

Cider is such a hit or miss - I’ve done two big orders from there and it really just depends on what you buy as to how good it is. I’ve got some really lovely bits and some that were an instant send back lol
My cider order was a flop too.
Got a silky dress with chain straps, and a couple knit/patch work dresses (same dress two colors in different sizes) the first dress looked awful in person the chain was plastic the fabric was gross feeling.. and the knit dresses were fine.. but the size small was actually BIGGER than the medium! It made no sense.

Cider is great for me because of the curve range. It’s impossible for me to find affordable and trendy clothes because of my size and cider has been a saviour for me. Finally feel confident going out not having clothes either too small or too outdated because I have limited options being plus sized.
Roberto Cavali perfume in the gold box is amazing.
I get comments from not only men but mainly women.....we know what is a good scent.
