Please tell James that there is a woman in Alabama, USA that has prayed for him and wishes him a complete recovery and a peaceful life. You are amazing. After 24+ years in Social Work, I can promise your viewers that there are a lot of homes that get like this. The people are not bad people, just struggling. Thank you so much for all you do.
As my dad says it's not bad people trying to be good its sick people trying to get better
I am one of them 😞
@@yolandojenkins170 I have just prayed for you, Yolanda Jenkins. Please hang in there.
@@yolandojenkins170 I WAS one of them, so i realy know its possible to get tru this!
Top first step: get help!

This one got me really choked up, the fact he immediately felt compelled to call his family and go to rehab, this sets in stone the fact you can give people that little push they need to get better and change their lives. All through just doing your passion. Auri you save so many lives when you follow your heart, you are heaven sent 😊❤
These houses could never be staged because it takes months and years to get all these stains and dust. Love what u do Auri ❤
I'm honestly so impressed that James managed to hold down a job while he was struggling so much, it shows how tough he is!! I'm so glad his employers saw his value as well and are paying for his rehab, that's absolutely incredible
The fact that his employees are doing that made me legit cry. If only many more people were so caring.
agreed! 👍
I know I was so happy when she said that!
@@skeletoninyourbody9896 In Canada your employers have to by law as substance abuse is considered a disability.
Recycling and using the money to buy necessities to make the place nice is SO Perfect!!! Love it! 👏👏👏

She is Special
This is my first video. I had no idea how many people need this help. Just to be able to live in comfort and clenines Also peace of mind. More help is needed
€0,15 x 2500 (!) cans = €375
Can you imagine how nice it’ll be to walk into this home after completing rehab? You helped this man get a whole new start in life! ❤
Dear Aurikatariina, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing this house cleaning service for free, I can see that it is your passion and it is a genuine charity from your heart, together with your friend. And special thanks to your fiance for being so supportive and understanding of you. Please do not mind those who say that it is staged, you are helping many people who are hoarders and with other issues as well. I am a bit of a hoarder too and I learn so much from your videos, I am inspired to do cleaning and decluttering though, not as expert as you. Thank you for your kindness, you are helping and saving lives more than you know. More success and power to your videos and hope many more will help you in your free cleaning services. And I hope James will soon recover and be whole again. Thank you so so much for all that you do! An avid viewer from the Philippines here :-)
I've been silently watching your videos for a while now as I've been one of the people who used to suffer under these conditions. I was pushed to always clean at a very young age which deteriorated over time with my depression and anxiety growing and suddenly before I knew it my new apartment was in shambles and I thought I was never going to get better. I was so scared to invite anyone in and I was under the impression that I was the only one who suffered this way- I believed it when people told me I was lazy when all my brain did was shut down immediately at the thought of cleaning, as I didn't know where to start and it almost drove me to panic attacks.
When I invited my cleaner for the first time for help, I cried in front of her and thought I had to apologize profusely about what I did, why everything was in shambles, but she helped me and is still helping me to this day.
I watch your video to remind me that people like her and you exist, it reminds me of my situation and has made me cry and pusehd me to clean and the idea that people think this is staged... actually kind of offended me? Knowing now that others suffered this horrible fate- to think that this is staged is absurd, this real psychological problem that nobody wants to have.. just thank you Auri, you make so many peoples lives better.
Shenpai, OMG! What a surprise!
Congratulations! And I hope you are much better now
This sounds like my life story too. So glad you’re here and in better mental health conditions ❤️
Shen!! It’s really cool to see you here, and im so glad to know things are getting better. You honestly deserve the best and i hope things will continue to improve for you 💜
I hope ypu are dping well now!💞
Thanks for sharing, Shenpai! I’m glad things have improved for you. Posts like yours help a lot of people. 😘
Thank you for your kindness. I've been living in a hellhole for months and every day it's just gotten worse and I've been sinking further down into my depression. This week I forced myself to invite a friend over so I'd have to clean. I've had your videos on in the background while cleaning as motivation. It's taken a few days and I've had to stop myself from cancelling the visit several times but I'm almost at the finish line. Thank you again for helping me see that I'm not alone ❤
Hpw are things going for you?
Awesome! Good job self motivating. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Awesome! (Even if you didn't quite make it. Reschedule, it's half done already!)
Fantastic! So proud of you. And remember, a lot of people without ocd of cleaning, need motivation to deep clean and the number one motivation is guests. LOL!! I hope your friend was able to visit. :)
A diabetic! I noticed the pen tips and old pens in the bathroom.
Dealing with physical and mental health at the same time is a lot. Thank you for helping him Auri
Hello Maddy. You look cute. Mind if we got to know each other?
Thank you so much for sharing yet another great video! I was amazed to hear that James had managed to do his job while having problems with alcohol - he is tougher and brighter than most! We probably won't ever hear how he is doing, but I hope he reads all the comments that people are posting. So many of us are rooting for him - I hope he is doing great and on his way to a better life for himself and for the people he loves and who love him back! Thank you so much for helping him, Aurokatariina!
With your help, his supportive family and work, and the fact that he's currently in rehab, I'm 100% sure James will do great!
YES!!! ❤️
I hope James sees this video. You can do this James! Take the help on offer and well done for asking Auri for help. Choosing to start your sober journey is so hard. Just remember you only need to avoid picking up your substance of choice for one day/hour/minute at a time. Just keep doing it, it’s worth it on the other side. ❤️
Come back stronger James 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Oh heres to James getting better!!!!
It’s great that his family knows about his problems and supports him. Especially the drinking. My psychiatry professor at medical school used to see: „Opening up is addiction’s enemy“
i love that she doesn't make the entire house perfect. in one ofher videos, she answered why she doesn't clean the windows. first, she doesn't have enough time to entirely clean the houses. second, she just makes the houses liveable, not entirely hygienic. and i think that's beautiful because the cleaning she does makes the house owner/renter encouraged to keep it clean and tidy.
It would be such exhausting work for you to stage the home to such a degree and then to go back to clean it! Why would anyone think that you would want to do that? There are so many people in need, with such circumstances, for you to have videos to produce for years! It is so satisfying to watch the amazing transformations! Good work!
Yeah, people really go out of their way to ignore that mental illness exist. Pretty weird to me
That’s just what I thought. So many people need help with cleaning, it would be much easier to find them than to stage the mess.
Canada here. I am always soooooo jealous of the bathroom floor drains you folks have. It is so satisfying to see all the water and dirt just flow down the drain.
Me too! I'm from Ontario and I would LOVE a drain in my bathroom floor. Lol
Same! I'm in Montreal and I wish wet rooms were a thing!
How come you guys dont have drain in bathrooms?
Same… I’m in Nova Scotia
Hey me too! So jealous of European bathrooms!
Hi Auri, I'm a psychologist and I've been watching your videos for a while now. It's indescribable what you're doing for people who are struggling.
This story proves that sometimes we need to take that first step and ask for help - something that a lot of people find so hard to do because their head is telling them it's a sign of weakness.
So showing them that no matter how bad things get they can always get better again, is truly a gift. Keep doing what you're doing! ❤️
Hello there how are you doing
She real demonstrates "A Labor of Love", bc even tho I'm a Cleaning Fanatic, I'm not in to doing this is a Stranger's Home! But some ppl are just chosen for certain things & I'm pretty sure it's a "Calling" for her! 😊
They're not getting better when someone else is doing it for them.
I do what she does and believe me I say many go back to their typical lazy slob lifestyles.
Are you not also a Mandatory Repoter ? Because if you have been watching these videos there is clearly evidence of child neglect
My house wasn't nearly as bad as the ones that you tackle in your videos, but it was well on it's way. I got into therapy, watched several of your videos for inspiration and I am sitting in a thoroughly clean home now. You help more people than you even know. God bless you and thank you for what you do.
Congratulations 🎉❤ to you ma’am, so proud and happy for you. USA 🇺🇸 Texas 🥰 @aiissabeth sorry not good at this tech stuff lol.
Love how theres all of these other people who deep clean areas, for example, a toilet, and uses thousands of products for it. And we have Aurikatariina here who uses 5 things. Oven cleaner, dish soap, microfiber towel, scrub daddy (and scrub mommy or steel daddy, same brand) and power paste. It's great that she doesn't use all of these unneeded products. Thank you for yet another amazing video!
Yes! I'm going to get these and just clean with them from now on! 😁😊So much less overwhelming
Don't forget a squeegee!
And a scraper 😊
I’m going to get microfiber towels bc if her. I also cleaned my stove with dish soap and let it sit for a bit. I was frying food yesterday and it really worked.
she also uses toilet bowl cleaner, acid and chlorine sometimes.
I am extremely thankful that when he reached out, he has been so well supported by everybody, including the employer. Unfortunately I know from first hand experience what it's like to reach out and instead be abandoned and shamed. It's cruel and painful and it hurts to know that it happens to many others too. So I'm always very happy when I hear that someone got the response they should do when they reached out.
I am so sorry you were treated so unkindly. Hugs from Oz.
I hope it wasn't family/friends. If so, you need to find better people.
I am sorry you were treated unkindly. You deserved better and still deserve better. ❤️
I am so sorry you were not met with love and compassion. You deserved better. Wishing you well. ❤️
Auri is not just the best cleaner, she is a wise therapist and just an angel sent to Earth
Isn’t she just! 👍
No why would any one do that
Yeah
I was thinking the same just right now
you're right ♥️.

So happy to hear James is getting help! I hope he's doing well today!
You not only clean these homes, you help people like myself who feel terribly guilty about the state of our homes to not feel like we are 'less than.' You are always positive and understanding of how this happens and share tips for people like myself who were never taught how to clean properly. Thank you for all you do!
You're absolutely gorgeous.
Would you be open to getting to know each other?
Auri needs merch that says " TRASHES".. love her!
I’d pay good money for a FIRST, TRASHES tee.

I love when she says Trashes😄😍
Lol!!! I love it when she says “trashes”. I’ve been saying “trashes” now, too! So cute. Love this sweet lady! 🥰❤️
People who say you're staging these houses have never dealt with depression.
Well said!
Day after day, the neglect builds
As well, those who are so foolish to say such a thing don't stop to think that Auri would be creating double the work for herself, which would be about the dumbest thing anyone could do. Some people simply can't accept that there are those who are so kind to others, they can just go in and do what needs to be done without pomp and self-glory.
I see a bunch of comments like this but never actually see the comments about staging. But yeah, calling depression staged isn't right.
It seems like to much effort to stage. Easier to just find and help another person whose house is like this
If people seriously think you are staging these houses; Good luck finding that many empty cans and bottles for free to use for staging. here in Norway we also recycle like mad and it's very rare you see empty bottles and cans in the streets. Everyone pick them up. As a former depression house cleaner myself, I recognize real stains and dirt. keep doing what you do, Auri
Depression runs through my family tree, as does abuse of every kind.
Because of all that hoarding also is really heavy in the family tree.
I work everyday to overcome all of that. Believe it or not watching you do your work helps me stay on track, as well as some awesome cleaning tips.
You are a huge blessing to me.
Thank you ❤
You don't know the huge impact you make to people last weekend my family helped me to clean my apartment. First of all asking for help was embarrassing but I needed help. They did it with so much love and respect for my things that are important and can't go to trash. We calle it: an :Aurikatariining' cleaning. The change was huge. Now I feel like my apartment is my apartment and there's more room for me and my cats. Thank you so much for the inspiration. People ask for help, don't be ashame
Asking for help is such a huge step and you should be so proud of yourself!❤️
Well done!!!!! You are a brave person with a loving family!!!!
This is amazing!! Thank you for sharing. So proud of you
Gaby, your story brought a tear to my eye. Well done, dear - I’m proud of you!
That’s incredible that you could have overcame yourself. I am struggling to ask for help and this show people can help 🙏❤️
Phenomenal as always. It's strange to think that people think it's staged. There's no way you can fake that level of unclean. You can tell it's genuine, 100%
Plus all the money it would take to buy all the cans!
Right? There's no way this level of filth could be staged. People are really silly.
Honestly I feel like staging these houses would be more difficult and more effort than finding people who have homes like this so more power to you
anyone who has dealt with depression would never even consider this being staged
@@christinebiron7473 also any kind of addiction or even adhd would be enough.
Honestly I feel like saying this is staged when it's so obviously not just makes people seem very bitter. I don't get it, she's just helping out people, if you want to feel better about yourself, go and do something good too (I'm talking to those who say that this is staged)
It would also be pointless. Why do all this damage to go back and reverse it. Makes zero sense to me.
@@cupcake6986 I think is because if you're a organized person it's very hard to believe that anyone could live like this so people think it must be fake.
as a person who's suffering from depression and anxiety, i am very grateful that there is a person like you, you've been a good role model for me and to try my best cleaning my house :)
hope your doing fine, happy holidays! 🥰
@@zeryodos thank u! hope yours as well 💖
As a mom of 3 who is 4 months postpartum, abs probably dealing with a bit of postpartum depression, this is amazing. I wish I had someone as awesome as you to come deep clean my house and. It's so overwhelming and then the more overwhelming it is, the more depressed and anxious you get. I sympathize with this guy and hope he feels like he's got a little more control and peace in his life now. Amazing how a clean house can effect mental health so much!
You got this mama 💕
Reach out to your family and friends, carefully (kind folks only!)-someone hopefully will come to help you! If the father is not helping, well, think about that, too. Unless he is working three jobs to support you and your kids, he should be helping with upkeep. Because four kids and a house is equal to at least two jobs-more like three!
I feel you, I have 3 small kids and my oldest son is heavily autistic. SOmetimes its hard, and you shouldnt feel ashamed if you need help. Sometimes we just keep everything to ourselves and its hard to ask for help. I know that our children are the most important, but also our mental health !
the fact that people think you’re staging these homes just goes to show you are incredible at what you do
I know couple of people who really believe that e.g. depression doesn't exsist 🤷♀️ Alas, they can't explain why brains can not get sick. Unbelievable!!!
Also all the mold and stains would be extremely hard to fake.. Moldy food. There's just things that can't be staged.
@@katacharlotta82 exactly that stuff builds up over time and if it were staged it’d have to come off in one swipe
@@katacharlotta82 same with the yucky shower drain 😵💫 love to know how she'd stage that one 😂

My home isn't this bad, but it's pretty awful and I understand how this can happen. Seeing this brought tears to my eyes and gives me hope that I can improve my home. It feels hopeless and like an impossible feat to do myself, but seeing you makes me believe that I can do it 💖💕💖
You can do it!! 😁
me too! even if my apartment isn't as bad as in these videos i've still been too ashamed to let anyone visit me :/ my problem is the amount of dog hair which keeps piling up on the floors, dust everywhere, lots of clutter (not on the floor but all the surfaces are full of it)... but indeed, watching these videos does give hope!
Start with bringing the garbage outside and after that sort your stuff and give up on everything you don't need...
The less you have, the easier is to keep it sorted and clean... I have two jobs and im always struggling with the time but I live as a minimalist since few years and since then I need an hour a week to keep my apartment spotless...
Just have a courage and start...
You can do it!! Start with something small and go from there little by little!! ♥️♥️♥️
Do as she does. First, collect all the trash, then clean surfaces and then organize.
No, you can’t stage that level of dirt. Believe me, I know that. I had this kind of mess once and I often struggled to keep my house clean bc of some disorders.
My ♥️ grows everytime I see Auri’s enthusiasm about cleaning places like this - in our situation it’s impossible to even make a first move to start clean this mess up.
Love u Auri, the world need more angels like u 🥹
I hope James is doing better. Calling your mom and dad to tell them you have a serious problem, is one of the hardest things to do. I hope life has been kinder to him
As an fellow alcoholic in recovery as well, I can empathize with this client. Being sober for almost 7 months now, my apartment is much more clean. I still have a ways to go with the clutter and chores, but it is a work in progress. Your videos help me feel less alone and more motivated. Thank you for what you do. Bless you and James.

I'm new to your channel, and I've been marathoning older videos to help me clean my OCD clutter. I LOVED this story. Your willingness to help James completely changed the trajectory of his life. Trusting you and knowing he was worth help empowered him to ask for help from other people who cared about him, like his family and his employer. Hearing how you all came together to help him just warmed my heart in the best way. Thank you so much for all you do.

Check out the flylady system for developing good cleaning routines. It has helped me so much. Their website is a bit confusing, but there are some youtube channels that explain it well.
Hearing that reaching out to Auri and her promising to come clean, gave him the courage to tell his parents about the whole thing, and to also seek treatment, had me in tears.
Great job as always! And since James is also diabetic ( I know the insulin pens you found), this lifestyle became a vicious circle for him. I am so happy he asked for help and is in rehab, I am sure that his blood sugar will improve and everything will get better for him. You have done him a great, more like a life-saving service.
Oh that is very sad. All that soft drink! If that was full sugar, that is just a slow motion suicide.
That is SO SAD.
Yeah, I'm trying to be ok as well with diabetes type 2. Proud of him for getting all this started ❤️❤️
@@georgielancaster1356 That's exactly what it is. I've been trying to get better myself ❤️❤️

@@georgielancaster1356 Those drinks are actually alcohol based drinks.
I am so glad this young man could ask for help from you and his family. That is the first step to real recovery!
This video made me tear up. I truly believe you responding to that email was a blessing for James from God. You offering to help him gave him the strength to decide he was ready to tell his family and work about his problems and go get the help he needs. James if you ever come across this, you should be proud of yourself for asking for help and doing the work to get better!
Whenever I'm feeling stuck in bed or unmotivated I put on one of your videos and do one small task like wash one dish then before I know it ive done 10 times more cleaning than I would have done otherwise. You are so inspiring and such a kind soul. You make such an incredible impact in so many lives. 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Put on a favorite song and tackle one problem, for as long as the song lasts.
One of my favorites - very high energy, is a song called SORRY by THE EASYBEATS, from about 1965?
And another, very easy to hum along with, called THE REAL THING, sung by RUSSELL MORRIS, in 1969, all from Australia.
I hope you like them. They are my gift to you.
If you do one job every time you listen, you might find you are addicted to cleaning!
same for me! her videos got me thru cleaning my apt during my move. i had so much to do, but thinking of Auri saying “cleaning is so satisfying” helps me to realize that it REALLY is, and to stop being so unmotivated and crabby about the process
The people who say you're staging these have never lived with mental illness or lived with someone with it. I've done both and have absolutely been in houses this bad. It's amazing how fast things can get overwhelming and go down hill when you have trouble just being alive every day.
Exactly. We helped a friend once clean their apartment they moved out of and then went to their new house. There was dog poop on the floor, moldy macaroni and cheese in the kids room, stuff everywhere. We had to help them or their kids would be taken away. It happens way more often than people think.
Honestly staging the house like this would be harder than cleaning it.
Exactly! It would take more time to stage a messy house than clean it. I remember that this is what my bedroom looked like when I was a kid. My mom thought I was lazy and a slob. In reality I was being sexually abused and was depressed.
@@annejohnson7596 so sorry for what you went through! ❤️
I love how she's super kind about the moldy stuff like the sinks.
Why are you such a wonderful person?! The fact that you can do all this work, but still understand why others can’t, is amazing.
A tip for very dirty microwaves.. put a half water half vinegar mixture in a bowl or something and microwave it until it starts to boil, keep the door shut and come back after half hour and it wipes off literally. I use to clean houses for work ☺️Thank you for all you do! Your such a blessing!
How long do you microwave it for?
@@tinabrown3746 2-3 minutes.
I often think people don't realise just how easy it is for a home to get this bad. For myself, I keep looking at my own mess and think "I don't have the energy today, maybe tomorrow" and then it just carries on like that for several months until it's something too overwhelming. It's a slippery slope. The common areas in my house are clean as I respect the people I share the house with and would never do that to them, so it's concentrated to my bedroom. It may not be close to as dire as some of the places in these videos, but it's not by any means good either. I often sit in my room with my curtains closed just so I don't have to look as it fills me with shame every time I see it.
Be kind to yourself - it is easy with depression to avoid doing difficult tasks, and then they pulled up and get beyond you.
If you are interested in trying to change, take it in slow steps - pick one corner, or set aside one hour. Don't try to think that you are going to clean it all at once. And/or ask for help! (This is coming from someone who left their kitchen floor unwashed for three years during covid, till my boyfriend rented a floor cleaner and cleaned it for me, so, I get it.) If you think about it too much, you won't get started. One day you'll just wake up and decide, today's the day and I'm going to start.
This. This so much.
Just add in my parents have hoarder tendencies and my dad gets violent when you point anything negative out to him. You have my house.
My room is a dumpster because.... I just gave up trying to clean it on my own.
I suffer from horrible depression and I kept putting it off too and it just got too bad that every time I try to clean, it's too much for me and I give up. I'd just love some help.
The kitchen is stuff piled ontop of messes my dad leaves behind.
And the living room is where my mom used to sleep and it's covered in piled high old clothes and mess.
Now she has my sister's old room, which is getting cluttered.
@@awphooey2u519 oh honey. I wish I could help you. It's bad enough to experience it as an adult, but my heart really goes out to children who've grown up in it, whose parents have forms of this illness.
The thing that Auri does that you can utilize is to take one little category of object, of trash, or one corner of your room, or set a 15 min timer on your phone and fill one trash bag, one laundry basket. It's a process of taking baby steps, so your brain can learn a new thing. You sorta have to claw and crawl your way to a new life, which is why her videos are so gratifying - its like watching her wave a magic wand because she's condensed 2 days of 2 people working into a 20 min vid. It's a slow process, you can totally do it too. I'm probably old enough to be your grandparent but I understand the fear of living with someone who has a volcanic temper and I'm really praying for your situation 😘
What a sad life was being lived in this apartment. So glad he reached out for help
I love the fact that you used the money got from the bottles to buy James necessities. It’s a way better choice than to take the money yourself or give it all directly to James. People struggling through difficult situation can easily neglect buying necessities. And having all that extra money to throw around could have made it more difficult to manage his drinking problem. So happy with the decision you guys made.
i used your videos to help me clean my own apartment after years of struggling with my mental health, im no longer ashamed to have people come over. thank you for what you do (:
Shes so lovely. I love how non-judgmental she is and calls messes endearing names.
I also love her accent. One of my best friends growing up had a mom who was from Finland and she was the sweetest lady. Too bad they are no longer with us. I miss them terribly.
I love how the bathroom floors have drains in them. We need that in the US. It would be so much easier to clean the whole bathroom!
Auri thank you for your video it really helping me over I was depressed feeling hopeless because my husband passed away right on Mother’s Day inside the shower 🚿 my two young children and I saw his death body in the tube it hit me so hard and broke down but take me years later I watching UA-cam and heard all the stories from those people you work for free to clean up … it really helped me to get up and keep going thank you 🙏 every much for everything you done helping other people.
Only Auri could make up this word: Dirtylicious 😄
People who think these are staged, are probably the same ones who think people can "just get over it" if they're depressed, anxious, etc. They do not understand depression, and how important mental health is.
You're an Angel!
Thank you for brightening peoples' lives ...like a power paste! 😉💖💗💖💗💖💙💛🌻🇺🇦
Upvoting this so Auri can pick up how we liked this word :D
Yes that made me smile! And that scrub mommy was having a good time earning the stove vent. Adding to my list of Aurikatarinaisms. ❤
Hello there how are you doing
auri deserves more views, she's seriously so sweet and has such a kind heart. the world needs more people like her.

These super-Cleaners are Love-filled Life-Savers ! I'm deeply touched with your unconditional efforts to help someone in need !! 💗
💖 👏🏼
What an amazing woman you are, so satisfying to watch but more importantly transforming peoples lives and bringing awareness to how debilitating mental health can be xx
You’re just amazing! As a psychologist, I feel like I have a duty to thank you, immensely, for the work you do, the way you share it and how much awareness you bring to mental health. You’re absolutely precious! 🙏🏼💛
Mental health is a spiritual issue manifesting itself in the physical
You wear a title- get paid for it YET you need help! too!
We all do
We must be born again spiritually
Man is separated from God the Creator this is why all of our issues
This life is temporary
THEN
Eternity - forever
This is deep... People don't understand that this is what DEPRESSION looks like!! Prayers for James 🙏
I'm so happy that people with James knew what he was going through and he needed help
It's so sad that the most kindest and polite people go through the most horrible situations but are never even bothered to tell anyone
Battling any kind of mental illness is a war field and it feels like you're losing and thinking you might not survive it
Please be never afraid to reach any kind help, weather it's a mental, physical, or even help in cleaning
Remember, you're not the only one alone in the corner, there's a bunch of people in the corner's that are afraid to ask for help thinking they're gonna get ignored
It's always okay to feel emotions, never block them. It can be a major mental problem to you and your health
Always ignore the toxic things in your life like drugs, drinking etc. Yes it may take time to get away from things completely from your life but it's okay, be patient with yourself
Always remember, you're not alone in this kind of situations
I love your compassion towards the people whose homes you clean. The love and encouragement you express is so touching. Thank you for your example!
I can only imagine the people, whose homes you cleaned, reactions coming home and seeing there homes clean for the first time in a very long time. It’s a fresh start and a second chance to them. You are seriously changing lives, Aurii. And you inspire me and soo many others. ❤️
I thought of the homecoming too many times throughout the video. I could imagine how warm it was or going to be.
Sounds like James works for a pretty awesome company if they are so supportive of his mental and physical health! Same with his family... Great job to all! 👍✌️❤️
Right? His work paying for his rehabilitation?! That’s wonderful !!!!
Hello there how are you doing
@@black_forest_ Finland has a great social structure.
This has me in tears! Bless you sweet ladies for doing this❤❤❤
This story actually made me cry a little bit. Thank you for not only cleaning, but helping give people hope to change their lives for the better. The world needs more people like you. I kind of want to start helping people clean their houses too but I better start with my own! 😅
That's right another idiot to finger quotes help other people who clearly are self centered and don't give a crap about other people's property.
This is not a staged apartment, it can’t be, it takes years and years of neglect to reach this point of messiness.. poor James, what you’re doing for him and others are the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen, you’re the definition of a superhero for these people.❤️
Exactly. The stains are dry and stuck, the dust on the floor has accumulated taking the shape of the empty spaces (more dust where there were less cans).
The sad part is - i'm not even sure if it needed years and years of neglect.
There are parts of the apartment that feel not as "neglected" as others.
I feel like it's more of a situation where the one in question tried for years to maintain at least a tiny bit of hygiene as a last stand but then something happened and the person got overwhelmed and the rest of the apartment just got worse.
For example the toilet feels like it hasn't been cleaned for a really long time and has been neglected for years, as you said.
But on the other hand the fridge almost felt....quite normal. As if it had been cleaned until a few months ago until something happened.
The same for example for the kitchen walls that seem to have been stained over a really long time without being cared for.
Similar for the workstation. The upper part is covered in dust but it's not really stained or anything. But the part below the keyboard is as if he suddenly gave up because he just didn't have his eyes on there.
I also feel like he made an effort until recently (a couple months ago?) to at least keep the floor somehow clean since there are quite some trashbags on the balkony outside. (You can see them at 0:46 sitting outside) But he apparently didn't have the strength to put those bags in the trash........
Really something that feels something happened that let him spiral down quite fast and he couldn't even maintain the little bit that he had could until then. It's sad to see and i hope he feels better now.
Armed with my scrub daddy and dish soap, I’ve cleaned the whole kitchen today, with a little inspiration from you. 🙏
It's wonderful to see you not only helping this man, but caring for the environment too by recycling what you can! It must add a lot of time to your cleaning, but it's worth it!
you are an angel for helping people who need it most. God Bless you
Wow! What a lovely kind non-judgemental lady you are. As an ex nurse who worked in the community I can confirm that people do really live in conditions like this and you are most definitely not staging them. This flat was actually mild compared to some of the homes I have visited in my career. I wish I had had an amazing cleaning team like yours to help my patients at the time ❤️
It is a hidden epidemic for sure. Can't believe people think it is staged. I go to at least one house a week that is this bad or worse.
Really? God bless you
لا اظن ذلك ...
Housing inspector here. Yes, some houses are much worse.
Saying that you staged the homes proves they have never been mentally ill or had someone close to them suffer with mental illness. This is reality for many that their home also suffers as the home no longer becomes priority when trying to survive the day ahead of them.
I love the work you do and your videos
I wish you were in the United States. I’ve struggled with depression all my life. I’m on meds, but they only go so far. After my father died unexpectedly and I became estranged from my older son (all in the same year), it seems my symptoms became more external with each passing year. I can’t let anyone in my house and haven’t for many years. I know how bad it is, not to mention unhealthy, but I just can’t do anything about it. It’s amazing how it seems to disappear after a while. I can’t afford an extreme cleaning service so it just goes on. Bless you for the work you do. I’m glad so many people are getting the help you provide.
I’m literally crying. Because of you he is able to change his life. You started that chain reaction. I love what you do for people.
I was telling my uncle the other day about how watching your videos helped change my perspective on cleaning. I used to get overwhelmed at the idea, but your enthusiasm to clean -really- dirty things made me step back a bit and re-evaluate how I thought about cleaning. Now I look forward to cleaning because it's fun and forgive me but hearing you say "trashes" makes me smile and I will repeat the word when I am picking up trash in my home. Now when it's time to clean I watch a video of yours and then go tackle my own trashes. Thank you so much for helping me live a better life.
"Trashes" is adorable
@@SWpurgatory ikrrr
I really need to get rid of all my "trashes' - I am now motivated to face the boxes!
@@emmascarce2726 my cat left lots of trashes in his litter box
Me too🤭😂😂😂😂
Breaks my heart that he did his best to clean by watching your videos. 😢😢❤ James you’re a sweetheart. Auri , you’re an Angel .This story really touched my heart.
This was terribly sad story. So fantastic you helped him. You are an angel.
I love that you recycle stuff then buy new things for the homeowner :) I wish we had recycling like that here!
She should have her own line of cleaning products, I'd buy them.
I bought a scraper, a pile of microfiber cloths, and some of the products she uses and they really do make cleaning easier and a bit more environmentally friendly over paper towels and single-use wipes.
I have a feeling she’s working on that…
@@Knitapeace i need the scraper so baaddd but i live abroad and idk if they deliver abroad
Haha that's so seen and done already, i think she will come up with something more innovative
she should name her productline auri, its perfect! maybe start with microfibercloths, gloves or cute apron with her name on it as merch! :) hotpink, of course!
and auri, maybe next time you can also buy them plastic plants for their bottlemoney, plants can really brighten up the space, make it less depressing and its proven to be better for the mental health. What is also less depressing is that they cant die but have visually the same effect. Plastic ones dont need to be watered and can be put in the dishwasher to clean them. I also own them myself and you can put them anywhere, i even have them in the toilet which made it really cozy.
She gives everyone a second chance and is always optimistic ❤️
You actually make cleaning look fun! Thanks for sharing all your products and tips for each surface you clean. Thank you, especially, for helping people in their time of need.
As a person who struggles with anxiety and depression, I fully relate to cleaning becoming overwhelming and then just getting worse and worse without outside help. No, these apartments are absolutely not staged. People all over the world have varying degrees of this cleaning problem, and they are not alone. Thank you for your work, Aurikatariina!
Can confirm, the only reason my house doesn't look like that is because I just turned 18 and still live with my mom. She doesn't believe my problems but at least whe the house is getting dirty she mekes me clean so....not exactly good but it's better than living alone and never cleaning anything
I agree. It can get so overwhelming when battling anxiety and depression, it makes you feel mentally and physically exhausted. There’s been many of times I’ve looked around and just wanted to get things done but felt so drained and exhausted. Especially after a long day of being a mum etc xx
@@zoecellis88 thinking of you as you struggle along with all this and hope you find healing, relief. As Auri said, one of the most important things is don't believe what your own mind tells you about yourself, your worth. It's a liar. You can walk out, tho it takes as long as it did to walk in. Be well ❤️
I have depression and anxiety and my place is clean. This guy is just lazy af
@@RAWRxLIKExPANDA don't be so judgy, james' problems aren't yours
What always strikes me about your videos (apart from the obvious visual difference) is how much better the air quality must be. So much mould, rotting food and rubbish... It would be fascinating to see a medical report of the tenants before and a few weeks after the cleaning - I imagine that their overall physical health also undergoes a massive improvement, just in terms of spores and dust, allergies, lung tissue inflammation, eye and skin irritation, etc.
You are an inspiration xx
Absolutely! Cleaner space, cleaner mind, and cleaner body ❤️🩹
I seriously LOVE your voice it’s so calming and pretty!
i just discovered you channel and i am amased! instead of judging people, you explain their circumstances and get to work/help! thanks!
There are so many studies that show how a messy/dirty home only increase a person’s anxiety and depression. These videos are so inspiring and I just know how much Auri is making an impact! 💕 love from the US
The work you do is incredible! I am so, so happy to hear James was honest with his family and is getting help.
Thank you ❤️ Me too!!
this story just straight up made me cry. i hope, from the bottom of my heart, that this guy is alright. he deserves the world, and you to
I believe you , that your telling the truth . Some people have Problems, and don’t ask for help. They usually too embarrassed by the way they’ve been living. You’re a very good person, to help somebody like that. God bless you
I get so excited when you turn in the cans and buy them things they need!! It’s so satisfying and saves them money. It’s also very generous of you! One of my favorite reasons I watch 😊
As someone who saw their parents alcoholism heavily contribute to their deaths, the fact that James gained enough courage to ask for help and go to rehab is so monumental words cannot even describe. It made me tear up but I’m extremely happy that he saught out the help he needed but that would not have been possible without the kindness and compassion you showed him. That gave him the motivation he needed to try. Bless you for this!
I like to use one of those non-slip mats that you can cut to size to pull off the oven knobs. What a lovely idea to use the money from the cans in his house to get him something useful for his home! So wonderful that James is getting all the help he needs. Thanks x
Looks great. It looked like it was quite hard to do daily chores. But good thing he realized he needed help sooner rather than late. The apartment doesn’t look too bad. Almost looked abandoned more than anything. I’ve seen worse and believe me stains don’t come out as easily when neglected for years. You guys did a great job clearing it out for him.
I have never doubted that the people you find that ask for your help and their spaces are 100% real. I'm surprised you have people stating you stage these houses prior to cleaning...those people should be grateful that they are sheltered enough to not know people that have struggled mentally and have their spaces which show the mental struggle.
I love that the bathrooms are made to be able to clean/spray everything down. I also love all the recycling, the US is not the greatest at this
I was thinking the same thing. I LOVE that set up. Did you notice the washing machine is in there too? Very clever!
same with Aussie rentals they are a pain to clean my home is awful to try and clean its so old
These videos are so heart warming and satisfying. Every video makes me cry.. you are so kind and unique. Your love and nurturing deserves so much 🤍🥺
People don’t always understand. But thank you for being nothing but kind. ♥️
He has such amazing help you're cleaning his home for free and his work is paying for his rehab. He's very very lucky
