Today I’m helping a lovely old papa. His home is something I have never seen before. The home wasn’t filled with trash but every surface was covered with a thick layer of yellow grease. The most amount of grease was in the kitchen and of course I enjoyed the cleaning! His bed was also so sad.. the sheets hadn’t been changed in ages an were also turning brown. Granpa needs a weekly visitor who is provided with a list of major projects, such as scrubbing walls or ceilings, cleaning the sofa, taking the rug to a cleaner, acquiring a mattress, etc. i'm sure there must be elder care in your wonderful social services.

I wonder if any family member knew or cared about this elderly man's situation... There isn't much trash around the house, it's literally filth/dust, which means it took it a long time to accumulate this much and nobody checked on him?!That's one of the saddest cases so far... It’s not always familys fault. I know an ederly person that lives in dust and dirt and he won’t let anyone clean it. This is case like Auri usual jobs. Family offered help many times and was rejected.
What a beautiful transformation! But what I find very interesting here - grandpa's house is dirty, but not clutered. Everything seems to be neat and have its own place, only grandpa probably hasn't got the strength to keep it tip top clean, still sticks to tidying. So sad and sweet in the same time. Yes ! He was as tidy as a 'PaPa' could be ❤ i wish i could have gone in after Auri and painted and washed shelves and got him a new rug , but when he got home i bet it felt wonderful ! Especially to wake up and sit at his table with a good cup of coffee😊
I've watched lots of videos like OCD cleaners cleaning hoarder's houses etc. This cleaner is the only one who doesn't complain, doesn't call the owners lazy and never receives negative comments. I'm a new fan, keep up the good work!

What a transformation! I always think, even though you don't get everything clean, you get it to a good place where it is livable again, and now the homeowner might be able to afford to pay someone for an hour or two of cleaning instead of 20 hours!
I looooove full house cleanings. Sometimes I'll just have them on in the background while I clean, other times I'll sit down with nothing to do and watch them. Plus, the before and after of the whole house makes me so excited
I think your lesson/explanation about leaving the bed (mattress) as is when you have finite time and transportable materials is SO important. I think people get discouraged thinking that cleaning has to be “all perfect” so they don’t get started. You are returning these homes to being livable; we don’t need perfect homes we need to feel good in our homes.

I spent the majority of the last 2 weeks cleaning up my home. It's not perfect yet, but it's clean. And for that, I need to thank Aurikatariina and this community. You guys cheered me on, and Auri gave me SO many tips in her vids over the last year or so I've followed her. I had been planning it literally and mentally for a month ahead of time and I finally did it. I LOVE the longer videos. I watch them and then play them in the background later when I’m cleaning, or reading, resting etc. The light music and your voiceover is relaxing and comforting.

It's not up to the viewers to decide what is most important to clean. It's the home owner's decision. The whole point is to make their life better/easier. If they ask you to do the most work in the kitchen and bathroom and you spend half a day looking for a new mattress, you're not doing what they want, you're doing what you want. I wish people would stop judging your choices and reasons for doing things the way you do. Just watch and enjoy, people. ❤
I think people weren't judging by merely asking and curious, but yes she has limited funds and time so has to prioritise where its needed most.

Many older people live in tidy but quite grimy homes, especially older men. It's not that they are dirty but just that they are not as agile or able to clean for prolonged periods of time as they did when they were younger. I'm 56 and have already noticed a lessening in my flexibility and physical capabilities. Things we could do with ease become a struggle as we age. Well done Auri I am sure this gentleman appreciated your much needed help.
I think most of this is years of nicotine. My grandmother kept her house immaculate, but the ceilings and walls were yellow from smoking. When she got older and her eyesight got bad, her home was much dirtier because she couldn’t see it to know. But even then she always kept her home tidy.
I found you by accident on here. I had to subscribe because you are such a blessing to folks. We need more people like you in this world. Kindness goes a long way. Talking about your mental health is such a great thing too. We all need to take care of ourselves and be there for one another. As a nurse, I try hard to be a good and decent person. BUT I also learn so much from my patients. They teach me kindness and humility. We all bring something to the table and this is what makes the world go around. God bless you and have a great day. ❤🙏🏼

My parents house was grimy and gooey because they were heavy smokers and didn’t clean much. This is so reminiscent of that. Hopefully this tenant appreciates you and your hard work

The yellowed walls were likely a tell tale sign of smoking indoors.
When I saw the yellow covering on every surface my first guess was that the old man was a heavy smoker and always smoked inside the apartment. The smell must’ve been hideous in there.

For those that have a problem getting started with cleaning, try to find a podcast documentary or audiobook that you want to listen to, then set a timer for 5 minutes, start doing the task. If you don't want to continue after 5 minutes, that's fine! But I think a lot of the time, once we start moving while also being stimulated by something we're interested in, we can keep going.
I prefer full house cleaning but definitely won’t stop watching if you continue to split them. I could seriously watch and/or listen to you for hours. It is so satisfying to see the results and it inspires me to clean deeper. Thanks for all you do! 😊❤️

It's affordable due to the channel, still commendable tho, perhaps it allows her to reach people who wouldn't ask or be able to access her services beforehand
If she travels in different European countries offering her services this must mean that someone is really sponsoring her & pays for the expenses. I might be wrong, but I don't think the money she earns from her channel would be used for her travels, food expense, train fair, hotel room, etc. She might be earning money from her sponsor & from UA-cam which is great, good for her.

The elderly gentleman might not have great eyesight and probably can't see the dirt as much, but he hadn't loads of trash or piles of boxes and cans, maybe he's a smoker too as that causes everything to go that colour. Great work, I bet he loved the freshness ❤
