Unfortunately an addict can’t be forced to complete rehab, they have to _want_ to quit their addiction and become clean. I’m a child abuser survivor, one of the major issues in my broken home was alcohol, my brother was bought alcohol by our mother from age 12 (welcome to Scotland), he was a borderline alcoholic by 15 and a full on alcoholic by 17. He’s 30 now, he’s extremely self destructive, extremely violent when drunk (which is often), has been offered rehab, his doctors have warned him the dangers of alcoholism from a young age and the affects it’s already having on his body and mental health, but he doesn’t want to quit.
The only relative I speak to is my father, I’ve no contact with my mother or brother for several years now, and I still find out from my father just how bad addiction has my brother in its grip, he sends extremely abusive messages to our father and then says “but I’m an alcoholic so it’s fine”, he uses his addiction as an excuse to continue being abusive to people. Minx will be facing the same issues, where people around her are trying to help her and they’ve tried everything, but Minx is unwilling to help herself or admit just how badly addiction is ruining her life. The folk trying to help her will understandably get fed up and walk away from her, you can only watch someone self destruct for so long before you wash your hands of them, and this happens so often because the addict actively pushes folk away. The behaviour I see from Minx towards her family is the exact same behaviour I saw from my brother, pure aggression, pure anger, trying to cause fights, deflecting and claiming “this is normal in Ireland”
I’m from Scotland, this is NOT normal behaviour, and it’s certainly not normal behaviour in Ireland either, it’s just a poor deflection.
The only thing I'd say is normal is using peado as an insult. The rest of the shit just makes her look like a right weapon

I totally get where QT is coming from. I had a friend with BPD and multiple substance abuse problems who I had to cut off years ago. All my friends did. She was incredibly self destructive and it became clear anything we did to try to help was just enabling her with attention and it was harming our own mental health. Toughest decision I ever made in my life was to stop picking up the phone to her in the middle of the night. But it had to be done.

@@Melnokina.-. We supported her for years and it only got worse. By the end, there were three of us she'd specifically focus on. Every night, usually between the hours of about 1am to 5am, she'd call each of us over and over again. Figured out it was a rotation. She'd call me, then another, then another, then back to me. Not stopping until she passed out or got bored. If we picked up she'd be completely incoherent because she was so messed up on a cocktail of things. I can't even describe to you the mental torture of trying to go to sleep every night knowing it was going to start. Being afraid to pick up but also afraid if you didn't she'd hurt herself. Last time I saw her she jumped off a second story balcony at a party for attention. Broke the fence beneath her as well as a couple ribs. Thankfully nothing more. Fought with us about going to the hospital and we called an ambulance. That night was it. Confirmed we couldn't do it anymore. Whether she was with us or alone, it was the same self destruction.
@@MadameCirce As someone with BPD who’s been destructive with my friendships and relationships as well, you did the right thing. At the end of the day you have to come to terms with the fact you can’t help someone who’s not helping themselves. You were right to cut them off and save your mental health. It wasn’t fair what they were doing, and they were taking advantage of your kindness and support at that point. You did what you could, hopefully they’ve gotten better and realized what they did was wrong and have come to appreciate what you did for them.
@@allysonpowell Thank you for your kind words! I did find a therapist and had a few sessions during that time, and what you say echoes what was discussed. And I don't blame BPD for all of it like some kind of unmanageable boogey man. I have another close friend with BPD and while there are ups and downs in her personal relationships, she doesn't have the same destructive streak where she harms herself or abuses others. So I think it was definitely a combo of the specific way Friend #1's BPD presented mixed with the cocktail of drugs/alcohol.

They are literally stating that being called soft after taking issue with Minx yelling at her parents, is why they lost all respect and won't give her another chance (a direct example of finding her irredeemable at this moment and that aspect being the worst/biggest cause of this change.) Even though, Minx literally physically attacked her sister, falsely accused her sister of being a pedo, and was blatantly abusive to the sister... All while on video, *_well before_* yelling at her parents and *_far before_* calling her audience soft.
You have to admit that's some very misplaced and bizarre priorities. You'd hope, the far more egregious actions would trump something so silly - otherwise, being unable or unwilling to recognize the actual serious issues that occurred in plain view. Especially, when they weren't called soft over their reaction to yelling at her parents - rather, because people called her out for the false allegations and physical attacks.
I do agree with you about the state of her addiction, though. Most of us who have extensive experience with people in addiction, are able to recognize this and how far gone she already is. It's really unfortunate, as it was very clear that she was extremely unwell and desperately needed help long before she spiralled into this.
QT really goes all out for everyone. I’ve coordinated camping trips and picnics for groups of friends, and then worked on conventions for my job.
Both are a nightmare, but if you’re passionate you want them to happen. You make them happen.

I liked seeing Minx around Schlatt's circle like 2 years ago. I can count female content creators I'd watch and do watch on one hand and she was one of them at some point.
Sad to see what Minx actually is. It just keeps spiraling down. She's lost all her connections and no one really wants to be associated with her anymore, for the better.
This whole mentality of "I'm an asshole unironically LOL" is what has created this person, this complete embrace of being a dickhead and then downplaying your actions so you can do it again. The alcohol, mental conditions and what have you don't really apply on anything at this point, it's just her. About time something caught up with her (and the internet's the perfect counter to all this, with everything getting documented. I can't begin to think how real life around this person would be like).

This is what Minx IS now, regardless of if mental health or her addiction are playing any roles at all. From my perspective and from what people have been saying, this is just her. This is the package you receive no matter what percentage of anything going on in her life is shaping that package.
So her constantly deflecting and ignoring these things or making up excuses as to how she's not to blame because it's this one only recently cropped up aspect of her life holds no ground. She's used to doing this to get away with things and she only seems to apologize when that means getting restricted in some way and facing consequences. She didn't even understand how it was wrong to throw around pedo allegations like that.
Also people with addictions do end up with fewer friends very often, I know this first hand. That has nothing to do with people judging their character but it's pretty much illustrating what I'm trying to say and it lines up with why Ludgwig's girlfriend decided to cut ties.
It's just not worth sticking by a person that from your side just creates problems without showing any will to improve.

People that are close to serious addicts (family members, close friends) suffer a lot from their actions, it's perfectly valid for them to distance themselves.

QT tried to get her help. The thing about addicts is unless they really want that help, it doesn't do anything. Minx wore out her welcome. QT isn't obligated to continue to try to get her help and be treated like doodoo every time. QT did more than just tell her to get better, but Minx took that trying for granted and ruined her own friendship. To put all the blame on QT is to enable Minx, which she doesn't need. Stop enabling this girl and let her hit her rock bottom. Because at this point, I'm pretty sure it's the only way she's going to get where she needs to be, sadly. I hope she does get help, but SHE has to want it. Not everyone else around her.

My brother in Christ, QT has literally been trying to help Minx for years now. Her wanting to cut contact after constantly trying to take care of a self destructive addict is her right to do so. You can't help a self destructive addict unless that self destructive addict wants to help themselves.

i was deep in my alcohol addicition from sept 2021 to may 2022. my friends all knew it was a problem but they couldn’t do anything. i hit my rock bottom during that time. sadly, we don’t seem to really think about how our actions can do so much. if minx doesn’t want to get help, we can’t make her get help. i can’t feel bad for someone who refuses to admit that theres a problem and needs help. if anyone still feels bad at her, just stop. you’re enabling her.

I never knew Minx had such a bad problem when it came to drinking. Granted I never followed her too closely, but she seemed like she was a fun streamer and I found her interactions with Wilbur Soot to be fun. I'm not sure how long this has been a problem for her but I hope she can swallow her pride, admit that she has a problem and then get the proper help for it.
I also can't blame QTCinderella at all for being done with the situation. Even if Minx does fix herself up and comes out of it a different person, QTCinderella has every right to not want Minx back in her life. I hope for the best for both of them.
How is everyone so casual about false allegations, and how she seems to be unable to acknowledge she has a huge problem: drinking this much and acting this way drunk, ruining friendships, putting herself and others in danger, upsetting an entire neighbourhood and shutting a party down after promising not to drink, she's in total denial
I had a mate who was like Minx, perfectly fine but the moment they start drinking they don't stop... always stayed far far away from him when he was drinking. Hope Minx can get help for her drinking problem but she isn't innocent in this, she knew she had a drinking problem and still drank, she is completely and utterly at fault in this. Not sure where QT gets off accusing her of faking a seizure though since some seizures can be completely undetectable even by medical professionals, it's called a silent seizure.

Yeah, it's a problem in Irish culture and in general, especially towards the youths who think its cool to drink and all, I've been through in my youth (I never drink, only in really rare occasions, but only once, but not make it my main thing, I drink soft drinks and spend money on better things like games, Lego, Hot Wheels, Movies and so on, so yeah), but it happen for years and through generations, also parents usually enablers saying "we did it when we were young" and such like it justifiable, there has been plenty of anti-alcohol and drug campaign in schools and talk about peer pressure, but all that goes out the window when we enter secondary schools, I know the joke that Irish are bunch of drunkards, but not all of us, some are decent, only a certain few and we call out our own if they go over the top, also being Irish does not excuse in being a drunkard or an alcoholic, so yeah

I have a mother who's a former addict, this is pretty typical behavior for those that use something as a crutch, lying, denial, bargaining, completely deflecting from the real issue, broken promises. QT did the right thing in stepping away, as I've been taught that you can love the who they were but it's not your fault. They are a grown adult that can make their own decisions if they want to, and you don't have to deal with that.
I commend everyone for doing everything they could, but most addicts are going to try and fail dozens of times before they finally recover, and that usually means reaching rock bottom to do that if having a support system isn't working. It's either that or an event forces them off of it enough to allow them to return to normal without mentally recovering from their dependence which is a bit risky too. It's a pretty tough thing to deal with though. I hope she gets help and this is the last time this happens. Can't imagine what the family is going through.
Seeing minx being in a quite toxic family, I'm not surprised. But still that doesn't meant you can act like a jerk to others just because you had a bad life. In the end that jerk attitude is going to come back at you. In this case, some people doesn't want to believe what you're saying anymore whether if it's real or not.

My favourite part is how everyone is losing their shit over Minx drinking at a party, and it's so overwhelming that people forgot that Mizkif was invited to the event and was on the floor along with people like Ludwig and XQC.

As someone who enjoys having abit of Irish blood in their family tree, Minx is acting very uncivilized to her friends and her family. If she continues drinking she'll very likely due from alcohol poisoning or from her very drunken stupid actions leading to her death. I heard actual Irish people do not condone what Minx does even if it's considered stereotype in the Greenlands that is Ireland.

As somebody who has had a best friend for 28 years who was an alcoholic and ultimately passed away from the disease. For me, this is very painful to watch. As I see the path she is going.
An alcoholic WILL NOT stop. It's ultimately up to that person to quit. They will lie, steal, and do whatever it takes to get that fix. These 30-day/90-day rehab clinics? They are just a waste of time. Minx needs to be in a facility at the very least 6 months. Personally, I think she should be at least a year. This is not a manageable disease to stop.
She could do it on her own, with the help of friends and family. But it takes the sure will and strength to know "That's enough" and stop drinking. With her medications and health issues, Makes it very clear that she needs to stop. Now more than ever.
I think minx is in a really bad place at the moment. She clearly has some issues but she doesn't deserve to be hated or anything. It's unfortunate but she's improved in areas in the past and I'm sure she'll get through this. At least I hope.

I can't tell if Minx genuinely has not a single friend who would actively try to help her behind the scenes with this stuff or if she is so far gone everyone just distanced themselves from her. Either way, most of this is just severe personal problems none of us internet weirdos have anything to do with.
QT seems like she genuinely tried, and exhausted everything within herself to help Minx. But the thing about addicts is that they have to want it THEMSELVES and for themselves. Not just because everyone else wants them to. If they don't want it for themselves, the help everybody is giving them does nothing. QT isn't obligated to continue to push this after years of trying. She's a human being herself that's allowed to distance herself to save herself and her own mental health. Minx needs to start taking actual accountability and people need to stop enabling her to continue this self sabotaging behavior by blaming everybody else but her. Because SHE is her own worst enemy in this situation. SHE ruined her friendships. SHE continues to drink while on medication and continues to screw herself over. Not anybody else. HER. And QT should not be made to be the villain or a bad friend because she was tired of fighting Minx and trying to fix someone that clearly doesn't want to be fixed. What's that saying? Don't set yourself on fire to keep other people warm.
