    Is there a notification squad yet? 😂😂😂 Hope you guys like the video. It took a lot of time and effort and I wanted to make it as detailed as possible. If you have any suggestions or any feedback regarding the process let me know below. I wanted to make sure anybody could watch this and make it themselves with no issues. It's a very useful piece of equipment. Glad I can share the information with you all!

      Excellent video. As an aspiring coach (I have a U8 team), I subbed and got the notifications going after the first video of yours that I saw. Please keep the content rolling. It is high quality and very informative. If you choose to do anything aimed at coaching younger age groups, I would be grateful. I didn't start playing soccer until AFTER I stated coaching my daughters team, so I am learning the game as I learn to coach. I have been hard at it for about 6-8 months now.

      Love your vids, man... U10 girls coach here (for the soccer side), and engineer (for the build side)... Only suggestion I'd have would be to use carriage bolts instead of hex. (It has the rounded head instead of the block head)
      It may not impact the ball's return hitting those tiny corners of the bolts, but I'm pretty confident that it will slowly degrade the face of the ball hitting them multiple times.
      Keep up the good work!

    If you use tee hinges (gate hinges) or door hinges instead of L brackets you will actually be able to fold the legs making it easier for transport

  • @jamiecox4619
    @jamiecox4619 7 років тому +4

    Great video, Javier! I wonder if you could have used hinges instead of L brackets in order to make it collapsible for storage. The hinges would swing each leg to the outside. In order to prevent the legs from folding when in use, you can create a wood piece or something to bridge/join the legs together. Just a thought.

    • @CoachJavi
      @CoachJavi  7 років тому +8

      +Jamie Cox I had that in mind, but my woodshop skills don't go further than the high school elective I took. I also wasn't sure exactly how to go about it without feeling insecure about the legs collapsing when I hit the wall, but that is definitely one of the main modifications for wall 3.0. Thanks for the suggestion Jamie!

    For a cleaner look, I think I am going to not use bolts and nuts. Instead I am going to use 0.75" lag screws with washers to join the brackets into the wood. 0.75" should go through most of the plywood so plus using lag screws should keep it solid. Might double up on the number of screws and brackets, which will add minimal cost and minimal weight.

    @coach javi this a great. Not many people take us into the cost of supplies or the actually shopping. This can't be beat. I notice in the video that the drills you are doing are soft touch kicks and I notice that the wall is on turf. Does that wall tolerate hard kicks and does it stay till on grass? My son is likely to want to practice his power on it just because he is a boy. (I know. I'm a little late to the video. haha)

      jaydgreen1 no issues at all but wouldn't be a bad idea. We thought about it but didn't feel it was really necessary. But they basically cost nothing so would be good just to be safe! Good suggestion.

    I recently bought this cheap rebounder net off of eBay and it's ok, the net isn't pulled back enough to give a good solid pass back and it's not accurate, the volley side is also messed up since the angle of the ramp is terrible and the ball doesn't really get up that high so it's just not a good product but I still use it since I have no other option😔😔 btw how portable is this?

    • @CoachJavi
      @CoachJavi  7 років тому

      Road to Pro gotta use what you got man! It's all about practice. It could be more portable but it would make it more expensive. I wanted to keep it as simple and effective as I could. It works well to move it around the field but transporting it from home to a field or different locations might be a bit bothersome. There's always pros and cons 🤷‍♂️
