Awesome stuff bud! Its crazy that evap is already going bad I can tell its been replaced before too... the quality just isn't there anymore with the Hoshi machines
Those burn marks are a dead giveaway lol. You’re 100% right about the quality going down hill. I’ve only been doing this for about 3 years and I’ve noticed it myself. Also. Big fan of your work. Super cool to get a comment from someone that my coworkers and I have watched and learned from over the years.
Definitely looks like the bin control failed and allowed the ice machine to run and fill up into the chute and once the curtains opened the machine turned off. The buildup of ice in the chute froze up and once the ice in the bin was used up the switch may or may not have reopened, but the chute was now plugged up. Just my thoughts and experiences
Excellent video 👍👍 due to the background noise couldn’t hear your comments on the dip switches. I haven’t gotten the opportunity to work on Hoshizaki’s in a few years. I recall tech support mentioning the dip switches “1” and “2” and the importance of the Internal diameter of the inlet water lines feeding the ice machines being very important. So many of the ice machines regardless of the brand were crammed into small spaces and fed with braided water hoses which restricted the proper water flow. Can you comment on recommendations on the dip switches settings based on some of the conditions you find ???
Yes it was loud. I don’t really mess with any of the dip switches except for dip switch 1 & 2. I won’t change any other switches unless I’m being told by tech support or I have something in writing that says to change them. 1&2 off = shortest harvest 1&2 on = longest harvest Watch a harvest cycle and if there’s still cubes on the evaporator then turn on dip switch 1&2. (assuming everything else is correct)
what to do if the ice machine is making ice but not falling even after changing float switch, control board water inlet valve and water filter. Also cleaned the whole ice machine
Does the machine cycle into harvest? What are your harvest pressures? How is your water flow down the center of your evaporators? Is your thermistor working properly? Is the evaporator clean? There are lots of possibilities. It’s really hard to diagnose without knowing the specifics.

The way you found the ice on the shoot, is saying bin control.good call thanks for sharing.
Wish it was the first thing I checked.
Thank you . Way you tell so easy and understandable. Thank you huge respect.
Appreciate the compliment and support. Thank you.
Thanks for this video i keep on watching bro. Watching from uae
UAE! Was there in 2012. Al Dhafra AB. Glad to know you hist-explore.
At first I thought the refrigerant was low or condenser/cleaning issues the problem. A lesson was learned! That was a good infestation....
Investigation...
Lol
It was tricky. I almost missed it. Speaking of infestation. Have you ever seen critters in an ice machine?
Not yet... I'm just trying to help out a small bar close to me!
Thank you 🙏 always great video 😊
You’re welcome!
I thoroughly enjoy these videos!! new subscriber.

1&2 off = shortest harvest
1&2 on = longest harvest

Yes longest harvest wasn’t 1 of those switches for a longer flush cycle ??
Maybe. I’d have to read the manual, don’t have it memorized.
Nice vid, good explanations.
Right on bro! I appreciate your compliment. I hope you got some value out of this video.
Great Video. Thank you for sharing
You’re welcome. 💪🛠️
🇺🇸💪👍❄️ great informative video thanks for sharing much appreciated
You’re welcome! Good to see you again!
Yoooooo you’re a tech too? It’s Moore.. I found your video trying to diagnose a Hoshizaki
What’s up buddy!? Email me. Icemachine411@gmail.com. Maybe I can help you out.

Got a question 🙋 about the evap crome plates
Change is not easy?????
Change is not easy. Don’t do it unless you’re with someone who has done it before.
Good stuff brother, just subd
Right on broski! Thank you.
Man, i haven't worked on a hoshizaki in years. Frankly im not a fan either. Is that a KM series machine by chance ?
It’s either a KM or KML. I can’t remember off the top.
👍👍👍
👍
Hoshizaki needs to go back to old bin switch.
Thermostatic Bin Control?
Hoshizaki? More like hoshiduki!
Lol
