Replacing chinese diesel heater gaskets - my repair adventures

My chinese diesel heater used to smell badly on startup. Yesterday night the diesel heater started smelling even running at full speed. Time for repair. Fixed with this kit:

I love SUGRU (silicone putty), works awesome, easy to work with for all kinds of fixes.... high temp, UV wont hurt it...cures fairly hard. also love silicone tape (it only binds to itself)

Did u use any kind of gasket sealer?

In some places yes like the rubber grommet for fuel line to make sure its sealed

i wonder since you have a lot of solar maybe you have enough power to use one of those lil 200 Watt ceramic heaters?

diesel heater puts out equivalent of 5000 watts of heat while using only 10-20watts. thats 250x efficiency of ceramic heater
