I’m currently reading Hope: A Memoir of Survival by Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus and they mentioned how he would not allow the girls to watch any tv shows or movies with black people in them and that he was extremely racist. Funny how in the end of all this it’s a very kind and amazing black man who saved all 3 of those girls. It pisses me off that Ariel Castro killed himself in prison. He kept those girls chained up for 10+ years and he couldn’t even last a month or two in a jail cell. Pathetic.

Amanda looks so much healthier and happier than I've ever seen her before. I'm so happy to see her recovering from what must have been the most awful ordeal.

I love that when she was starting to question whether or not it would have been simple to get out of the door, he doesn’t even let her entertain it. “No no no no no no. Listen to me. You wouldn’t have been able to”. He’s such a dad. He wants to reassure her that she truly seized the only opportunity.
He is an amazing person and her will to survive and save the others is phenomenal. She prayed for a miracle and was given an opportunity and an angel to carry it through.

Big Macs are not cheap. Not like he had a dollar burger. Lbvs. Cause I loved Big Macs as a kid but my mom couldn’t afford fast food but once every month or two. Then he a man, got man hunger, so he made a lot of sense mentioning that as holding him up, in my eyes, coming from a low income mindframe. He a big dude nobody was gonna stop him even if he had to smash that n ask for help. Made the neighbors alert too.
