It must be so hard to be a family member to someone who did something that atrocious. People just expect them to hate him for what he did, and are completely oblivious to the fact that you can't switch off your feelings. The family are victims as well, and admitting you still care for a convicted person doesn't make YOU an atrocious person. If I found out my brothers or mother had done something like this I wouldn't be able to stop loving them, and it would break my heart and I would feel torn between my emotions for them and my guilt for the poor families. I suggest you read all of their books. both of their books show how smart and methodical Castro was in regards to hiding them in plain sight. I was never allowed in the basement when my grandparents were alive (even as an adult) and I never found it odd. The reason no one was allowed because they had so much junk down there, and no one questioned that. After they died, we were the ones who cleaned out the basement. For the people who were threatening them after it was stated they were innocent are no better than Ariel.
Considering the circumstances it is understandable why they all 3 were taken in. Once the story was told by the hostages, it cleared up the accusations of these 2 brothers. I suggest you read all of their books. both of their books show how smart and methodical Castro was in regards to hiding them in plain sight. I was never allowed in the basement when my grandparents were alive (even as an adult) and I never found it odd. The reason no one was allowed because they had so much junk down there, and no one questioned that. After they died, we were the ones who cleaned out the basement. It's really not that odd when it comes to relatives.

Onil Castro was with his brother when he got arrested and thats why they took him in too, and Onil said are you looking for my brother Pedro (thinking his open container warrant) so that is why the other Pedro was arrested, but were released shortly after. For the people who were threatening them after it was stated they were innocent are no better than Ariel.
Considering the circumstances it is understandable why they all 3 were taken in. Once the story was told by the hostages, it cleared up the accusations of these 2 brothers.
