How to Make Liquid Bubble Bath with Only 2 Ingredients
Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 лип 2024
- Today I'm showing you how to make this gorgeous liquid bubble bath. The recipe is super easy & makes tons of bubbles! All you really need is distilled water & a "bubble bath-maker". For a list of bubble bath-makers click here: • Bubble Bath-makers: Dr...
RECIPE: 12 ounces (355 milliliters) distilled water, 2 ounces surfactant, "bubble bath-maker" (I used SLSa, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate) [or use sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), sodium cocoyl isethionate (SCI), sodium coco sulfate (SCS) ** powder form is recommended because it dissolves more easily]. + 1 ounce (30 milliliters) "co-surfactant" (I used cocamidopropyl betaine) [other great choices are lauryl glucoside, coco glucoside, or decyl glucoside], .80 ounces (24 milliliters) fragrance oil, .20 ounces (6 milliliters) preservative. ** A preservative is highly recommended to extend the shelf life. DIRECTIONS: Boil the water & surfactant together for 5 minutes. Weigh mixture. Add more distilled water & bring it up to 12 ounces total. Add 1 ounce of surfactant; it's going to give the bubbles more body, boost bubble power, & allow the bubbles to last longer. Cool mixture lower than 100 degrees Fahrenheit (37 degrees Celsius), then add fragrance & a preservative (I used germall plus, linked below). ** You can thicken it with salt, but remember it's supposed to be thin. Get more surfactant formulations, tips, & tricks from this channel - This is where I learned the salt trick. @The Institute of Personal Care Science
Once the bottles are full & clean, add labels. I made a 3x2 label for the belly & a 1x2 label for the neck *** But I think it'd look better if the neck label went all the way around. Click here for the labels tutorial: • Make Professional Labe... Jazz up the bottles with necklaces & tassels. I feel like the packaging makes the bubble bath really special. The charms hanging in the front add class & sophistication & the tassels add a pop of color & festive flare.
** If your bubble bath is too thick, add water until it's thin enough. However, this means re-formulating everything, especially the preservative. ** I made a batch a lot thinner than it was initially & was worried about losing bubble bath power. So, I added dry SLSa powder straight to the pitcher & stirred it in. It worked great at making bubbles- maybe even better than before! As long as you don’t mind tiny white flecks that can only be seen up close (I sure didn't mind).

Beautiful work of ART! Love all the bubbles!
Thank you so much 😀
Dora, have you ever made in-shower lotion?
Meant to be applied in the shower, after you’ve washed up and rinsed off and your skin is still wet. The idea is that the rich lotion will help to seal in all that moisture on your skin
Beautiful
Thank you
Beautifull merci 🩷🩷🩷
Great 👍 👌 👍 , I like
I can't wait to try this! Question, does it affect pH balance at all? I read in other recipes to add a tiny amount of citric acid but I'm not sure how that will affect this recipe. ❤️
Great recipe 😊 ❤ thank you!
Is it suitable for small kids ?
Looking forward to youre answer
Hi Dora, thanks for sharing all the ideas and great recipes. How much shelf life difference with & without preservative? is this liquid bubble bath you used in your bubble bath powder?
you have a beautiful brain!
This is amazing. Did you have to agitate the water at all?
I love a thick bubble bath. For some reason, the thinner bubble baths produce fewer bubbles 🫧
Wow!
And she did it again
Ohhhh, you mentioned it
Love u from Egypt ❤️❤️
Love u back!
helo Dora, that was beautiful. Thank you for taking the time to create and sharing your recipes with us. The packaging is beautiful. I was looking for something professional and I found you. I wish you much success. kisses. olga C

@@CreativeBathLabHello Dora, I really need this question answered. I also noticed several other people have the same problem and we’re not receiving an answer. The problem is it’s thickening way too much overnight and I was going to make it for a Mother’s Day sale. I’m afraid to just add water because I don’t know how to reformulate it with the preservative. I love all your videos but you should answer some of these important questions that people have about your recipes. Please help me out
Vanamos, Let's Go; Dowtown Motown Checking In; Thank You Dora; We appreciate You!!!

Such a fun project💕 I love this channel
What surfactant do you recommend for this recipe
In description boo
Dora, Thank you sharing this recipe. I just tried it and it seems like the liquid is very thin. I’ve added salt but it does t seem to be making a difference. What do I do???
Thanks again for sharing
I was wondering if you ever do a large batch, several bottles at a time instead of individual bottles?
You are amazing I love your channel and watch all the videos. Do you think this could also be used as a body wash?
Sure!
Would it be ok to add colloidal oatmeal powder to this? Also, could I use optiphen as preservative? Thank you so much, I love all of your videos! 💕
Yes you can!
What preservative do you recommend please? I absolutely love your creativity 😍

Hy dora... what the preservative for liquid soap?
what preservative did you use
Awesome intro great video I feel like I'm watching Walter white make a masterpiece
Cute idea Dora. Can you add buttermilk powder or other additives?
You absolutely 100% can do that. And I encourage it. I actually thought about doing that this time, but decided it’d be easier to go with a simple recipe
Do you need a carrier oil?
Dora mam your voice and you also much beautifull😍😘❤💕
I love this Dora but i worry that thr colours would mix
Hello Dora plz what should the ph of this be please?
What do I mean by a preservative?
So beautiful, question is this safe for children, 3 yrs old. Where did you get your waterproof labels? Ty so much
yes. ua-cam.com/video/F8GiO8tS2kM/v-deo.html
I have a 3 year old daughter who is susceptible to Ph imbalances and yeast infections from bubble baths is there a bubble bath that you can make or purchase that are Ph neutral?
Hi Dora! I was so excited to try this recipe! I've made it about five times.... I have tried to make double sure I am measuring everything right but every time I make this it congeals overnight. It turns into a frosting like consistency.... It still works fabulously but what am I doing wrong? I even added a little extra water the last time I made it and it didn't help.
i am having the same problem, did u manage to find what could help it?
I'm having the same problem! I've even made it without adding any colors or fragrances and it still does it! Mine doesn't really work at all after it turns solid though. 😔
Why use a preservative. If its home use do we need it? Which one did you use?
Dora,I have a small cliente and of my ladies she loves all my products but her daughter can't use them bcus she is allergic to the SLSA can I use Sodium Lacate 60%if so how much ???
Hi Dora. My bubble bath solidified to a thick cream the next day. Could I just mix in more water and preservative to this? Thank you for any advice! ❤
hey, i was wondering if you got an answer to the problem you had? i have the same problem, and would realy want to fix it.
@@nimpheunosame thing happened to me and still no answer
Do you have an Etsy?
I really want to try this but I need the one that is skin sensitive.
Can you help share a link for that one?
I'd imagine sls would be better for sensitive skin, but you'd require more surfactant to get the same amount of bubbles
So I make my bubble bath very similarly, but to prevent the color from settling down at the bottom, I use liquid suspension base. With this recipe, do you notice any color settling?
merging, but no settling
@@CreativeBathLab Thank you!!
Hello Dora,
I made the bubble bath twice. It does bubble alot. However, I can seem to get it to thicken and it is nowhere your thicken texture is in the video. What is the percentage of salt should I add? I did add up to about 2 tablespoons of salt. Any additional notes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hey there, I don't remember how much salt I added, its in the description. Try crothix or a different thickener. Just remember that it's supposed to be thin tho!
I actually made mine way too thick, then had to go back & thin it out. I actually wish Ida just left it alone, like it was.
Can I use/add shea butter & coco butter to make bubble bath more moisture ?
sure
Does anyone know how to make bubble baths that colours the foam as well? I like making big poofy baths but I'm trying to switch it up a little!
To do that you’d have to have some VERY strong colorants added. Speaking as someone whose made very concentrated colored bubble bath products, I’ve never seen colored bubbles with mine!
shouldn't you bring it up to 14 oz since it s 12 oz water + 2 oz surfactant?
Nope
So I just made this using the recipe u provided but it didnt really thiken at all... I purposely didnt add color but regardless of that it didnt thicken... what did I do wrong? Is it fixable?
mine too... it just stayed really foamy.
I didn’t want mines to get thick and I put very little salt in it and it tested it the next day and it did not thicken up can I add more salt to it or does it have to be reheated
Same thing happened to me, I thought that as it cooled down it would but I let it cool completely and it still has the texture of water 😢
Dora I need your help! I just realized all I have is liquid coco betaine - can I use that? Would it be the same ratio, if so? Ack! I pulled out everything to make this and realized mine is liquid. I can't find my coco glucoside or decyl glucoside. So frustrating to have such limited space! Also, I wanted to ask if you did one color per batch? Im all ready to get going once I know about the liquid instructions. Sorry my friend! I hope you and the fam are well - and happy early Thanksgiving! 🦃
I have now looked EVERYWHERE and cannot find cocamidropropyl betaine in a powder form. Im stumrped.
Im not sure if it'd work as good, but hell - try it! It may even work better!!!!
I love your attitude! Where did you get your powder? I can't find it anywhere - and I've checked everywhere. ALL the usual places. No one has it.
What do u use for preservative?

Where did you buy the glass bottles

Wow. I made my own and it keeps on foaming up when it touches the water and continues for about 30 seconds 😮
RECIPE:
Body wash
Hand soap
Baking soda
Lotion
Super glossy shampoo
A little dye
😊 mix and pour into bottle😊
If you don't have sodium use toothpaste with a type of sodium😊
Hope this helps😊😊😊😊😊😊
Can I know how many grams an ounce is..because we use grams in proportions if possible, and can you write the names of the materials in order because I do not know what they are called in my country
Google it
I do grams then someone says do ounces. I gave the entire recipe in ounces + in milliliters as well for liquids. for me to tell you what the grams are I would have to Google it. Google the #of ounces - to - grams. It pops right up
Thank you
I will search on Google, I am following you from Iraq, and we use love, so I asked you, sorry if I bothered you
why isn t runny? it barely gets out of the bottle
I made it too thick (as stated in video) which is exactly why I tell you to make sure you make it thin
@@CreativeBathLab i missed that part xddd
💗❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Pam!!!! Where in the f$&@ have you been?!? lol. Miss you little lady!!!
what is the life expectancy on this bubble bath stating that its homemade?
Good question
I'm Some What Confused??
For The Surfactant In Ur Video It Says You Used Coco Betaine But On Ur Instructions It Says You Used Cocamidopropyl Betaine??
Then For Fragrance In The Video It Says 23m But The Instructions Says 24m??
In Ur Video You Show The Clear Liquid For Preservative (2:41) But The Instructions Doesn't Specify What That Preservative It Is??? I Think That's Why Everyone Asked What Preservative Cause They Are Confused Just As I Am.
If You Could Clear This All Up. I'd Appreciate It 🙂 I Really Wanna Make! Thank You.
Sorry for the confusion. Everything typed in description is correct. It comes directly from my notes. Everything linked is also correct (like cocamidopropyl betaine & the preservative (germall plus).
This comment is so popular I don't know why
