I was going to make a comment about how it’s not a v6 but I see a lot of people already did that so I made a comment about how I’m not going to make a comment on that.

I'm having a heck of a time trying to decide between this and a Range Rover Sport of the same year.
I've gotten to drive both; the BMW is more agile, quicker, more interior room and much better electronics.
Range Rover is the ultimate off road machine, is more exclusive and rides like a 4wd Rolls Royce.
I'm probably going with the X5...

Cant take someone seriously when they don't even know what configuration engine it has.
Since when has BMW used V6 engines?

    • @DrivenCompanion

Sometimes its a habit to say V6 and once you're editing its too late to undo your words.

@@DrivenCompanion It happens; people can usually tell if it was just a slip of the tongue or if you're full of hot air. This particular gaffe was brutal though; BMW is practically synonymous with inline 6's in the automotive world...no blood, no foul

It looks so good for when it came out, the first Gen was ugly and even the 2019+ one is.

    It's inline 6, not a V6. BMW doesn't make V6 engines for as long as I know.

No, the Ford Exploreer was responsible for the explosion of SUVs with unibodies especially the Eddie bower series.

The x5 started the crossover wave. Even though this is more on the SUV side of things.

Mine was great when I bought it, but after 60,000 miles, it was an endless money pit. Stayed at mechanic all the time, and costs many thousands of dollars. All kinds of mechanical and electronics problems. The coolant leak could not be fixed, and they said to sell it now or I would be spending thousands more on a head gasket.

I wouldn't trust the opinion or knowledge of someone who thinks BMW made a V6. Reinforced by you not mentioning Range Rover when talking about luxury SUVs. Range Rover is where the ideal came from. Please try harder.
