Very well explained. As a Wadama Brahmin I never knew there are so many subsects in wadama itsdlf. Very exhaustive explanation and also the talk referes to the accomplishments of the Brahmin group.The only problem with Tamilnadu Brahmins is that majority are middle class and will spend all their earnings only for the education of their children. This made them occupy good posts in private and public establishments.

உண்மை. Had our Reservation system was reviewed atleast once in a decade, to exclude the benefitted few families, most of the poor would have come up to catch up with the rest.
With a bit of motivation and facilitation, atleast 25% of every cast would have proved themselves. That is what is happening amongst most of forward caste, NOT ONLY Brahmins.
I am in electronic City, Bangalore. Here, Brahmins are less than their proportional representation in Private sector employment. All FC and BC apart from lot of Christians have migrated-in from TN, Kerala, AP and other states.
Politics has ensured to keep most of SC/ST out of growth trajectory.
TN is worst affected for obvious reasons. The Dravidan rulers most of whom are from non brahmin FC and BC do not want SC, ST and MBC to grow in stature. Even budget allotment not being used.

For someone you allege is a brahmin, did you not notice she never used the brahmin kattu for her sarees. She never identified herself as a brahmin but you do?

She didn't use her father's name to protect him? Why? What was so abominable about being her father or of her parents' marriage she had to protect his name?
MSS Amma did not use her father's name as that was the custom in their families. Until the Devadasi system was abolished by law, their women had a patron each and that woman lived with him faithfully. Not that the man necessarily reciprocated. Since these women and their families are temple musicians, they had already adapted to the brahmin lifestyle a thousand years ago itself, even before Rajaraja Cholan's reign. If you don't know, find out instead of exposing your ignorance.
Some kshatriya Arasan will raise a temple with the vaishyas offering financial support and the suthiras doing the physical work to build the temple, from stonework to the temple artwork, and another segment will continue as temple dancers and musicians till the day they die but it's the brahmins who dedicate their lives in service to God? Nalla kathaiya illa irukku.
No temple was built in any part of the World at any point of time by any brahmin.
