Thanks joe, you've saved my life. I was 316 LBS. I'm now 295 LBS. My goal is to get to 190 LBS by 2015. You really have to change your diet to loss weight and exercise. It's amazing, my wife is loving the change, and she has now joined me on my journey. All three of my boys are juicing as well.

Are you still alive? Because when somebody makes a statement like yours and doesn't follow up..it could mean they had a heart attack and died. Or that the juice diet completely failed for you..which is what I am guessing happened since MOST people who try the juice diet can't stick to it and gain all the weight back according to statistics.

I watched it and was very inspired so i shared it with my elder and wife from church and he started on sept 6,2013 and has already lost 23lbs.....he started at 315 he could not breathe, could not tie his own shoes, and his allergies are slowly going away. i also advised him to ask his doctor to monitor him, because he is on alot of meds. Now he is walking better and able to do all the above things. Thank you Mr. Cross for your documentary.

I've lost about 30lbs doing juicing for about 6 months. I wasn't JUST juicing, I proportioned my meals. Now I nearly avoid ALL foods w/HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP and any food that is labeled (as much as I can cause it's hard) and in almost 3 weeks I lost about 10lbs. I work out, mainly cardio and some muscle training. Drink lots of water/take vitamins. I can finally run for long periods of time and have lots of energy! I use the recipe and add other greens and fruits! Hope this testimony helped!:)

I have been eating 1 meal a day and drinking juice 3 - 4 times a day… for type 2 diabetes I was on 2000 mg. of metformin and 5 mg of glipizide daily and within a week I cut the metformin to 1000 mg and I cut the glipizide out altogether. 1 meal a day of chicken or fish and vegetables. I have dropped 10 pounds in two weeks- this is a perminant change… no bread, no red meat, no processed food period. I am planting a garden in the back yard.... I think I'm hooked on greens!!

Same with my mom who is turning 90 next year. She eats everything in moderation - even grew up eating margarine! That didn't kill her or me either. Of course, we stopped eating margarine years ago, but our bodies adapt.

I'm starting the organic natural juice "cleanse" and even though I'm not overweight, I have had lots of joint and other body pains. I can already see a huge difference, just from drinking natural fresh juice! I got a terrible candida yeast infection from drinking processed "100% natural fruit juice" that had been processed and turned into fructose sugar. Same goes for processed orange juice. Now it's all completely organic and fresh made every two or three days. Works! It's a miracle, really. I use a Champion masticating juicer, although a Breville is used on the show.

anxietypain There are some serious studies showing your diet DOES have an effect on your mental and emotional state. There's a book someone gave me called "Eat Your Way To Happiness" by Elizabeth Somer, M.A., R.D. It's also about slimming down and curbing your cravings, but there is a large section in the book that talks about mood boosting foods. I really encourage you to look into diet change further, and do the research you need to do to be a healthier and happier you!

If anything it will make you more anxious as you give up food and dont have any of the comfort foods that would calm you down like potatoes, breads etc., you could try going for 3 days and see, then 5 days then 7 then longer, Ive tried and after a day I give up, Ive taken Paxil for 22yrs and recently tapered down from 20mg to 5mg, the good thing about juicefasting is that you can still take the meds, good luck ;)

It worked while I was on it…. My life is in turmoil right now (new job, working on a BA, starting an MPA) and I failed to stay on the “program.” I don’t know if I would do a 60 day fast…. What I did was a modified re-boot. And Joe says the fasting re-boot isn’t for everyone… THE IMPORTANT THING is this…. Your diet should be mostly vegetable matter…

I have re-started a couple of times... down 15 pounds, and it can be tough to keep the vegi / fruit ratio at 80/20. I love the juice, I caught the flu in the middle and had to have some chicken soup, BUT, here is the good part, I now wake up in the morning with a blood sugar of @ 110 instead of 180. THAT is a result of the juice... I an down from 2000mg to 1000 mg of metformin and 5 mg of glipizide. My fiancée is also on this and we both feel great...

On Joe's website, he recommends running the pulp through the machine for a second pass to get that remaining juice. Also, the pulp can be saved and added to other recipes or used to make vegetable broth. Those tips reduce a lot of waste.

Nope, there's actually two types of fiber in vegetables and fruit. Soluble and Insoluble. We often associate fiber with the insoluble part of fruits and veggies, but in juice like that we still get the necessary fiber to survive in the form of soluble fiber. I've watched the documentary and started fasting, I'm on day 17 and I've lost 27lbs. The biggest challenge is recognizing the difference between a hunger (time for juice) and a craving (stay strong) and keeping control of yourself.

No you don't have to use recipes if you know what you're doing. You can put together any combination of fruits and veggies. The biggest problem would be taste, but any tasteless combination can be "rescued" by adding apples and/or carrots, or any thing with a sweeter flavor. Try it!!

  • @wingn2a
    @wingn2a 12 років тому

The primary lesson here is to CONSUME MORE PLANT MATTER. Find a supermarket that has a great selection of organic produce, and start juicing 2 - 3 times a day, eat salads and maybe some chicken or wild caught fish. in a week or so, and it’s like someone turns the lights on. I could't believe how in tune with my senses I became. So yes, it does work, you just have to be committed to it. Like a smoker deciding to quit, it takes commitment. Stop the junk food, and eat from the garden.

I was told I have uticaria, and Dyshidrotic Eczema, and both have fairly subsided due in part to using ONLY soaps that are unsented, and the use of Clobetasol Propionate ointment (.05%). I am off of Zertec, which was perscribed for the uticaria. I don't have hives, and the only time I did have hives was when something brushed up against my skin... that subsided before juicing, and I atribute that to using unsented soap, including laundry and hand soap and unsented body soap.

  • @Dubbadizzo86

Wheat may be a plant, but they way most of us get it is in a refined processed form called flour. White flour creates most of the bread we eat and the second you ingest that bread it becomes a sugar, which is not healthy. Complex carbs such as vegetables are much healthier and won't make you fat. As an example, the coca plant has many great properties and health benefits if we use it as tea, but if you refine that down you get cocaine. It's the refining properties that make it unhealthy.

Someone asked " why not eat the pulp?" Because you are detoxing your body! The liquid will help it travel faster and your body can absorb more nutrients while its in liquid form faster! It has more fiber . I'm loving my results and I have 17 more days to go! He's helping ppl realize they don't need these diet pills and pay Weight Watchers any juice machine will do but a good one is like $150 and up. I bought one for $100 but it kept getting hot so I'm off to the store to get a better one!

He had to use something, right?! So, he probably used the best juicer out there at the moment. He was juicing for two months straight. This is what I have learned… Changing your lifestyle this drastically causes your body to change - obviously- Joe says the 80 pounds he lost on the 60 day fast was 30% muscle…. THIS will change your metabolism- you will have less muscle to burn fat…. I still believe that protein is needed, and some sort of exercise to try to maintain the muscle. And in order for it to work you MUST not go back to the way you ate before. PERIOD. Or you will put more pounds on than you lost.

Has it helped your hives though? I tried just juicing a few times, but only made it a day or two and the ones with fruit tend to flare me up more. Not trying to sound rude or anything but I hardly think many cows are being tortured or abused. Many farms make the effort to give animals a quick and painless death, efforts are being made to stop animal abuse anyway. I get most of my calories from carbs and protein, if I suddenly went on an 100% veggie fast my body would go into starvation mode cause I'm not getting enough calories. I lift weights, I need large amounts of protein for muscle repair, I don't think veggies would provide enough.

Know what you mean! Did it for about 2-3 weeks and it did wonders, my thinking got a lot clearer, although I had headaches, mild ones, but the doozie was - I started to smell everything as they were. It was not pleasant at all. You smelled what people were eating, and if by chance they were eating Chinese food - you could smell the spices on the food and if the meat was rotten or not. In many cases the meat was rotten and the spices was there to cover the smell of the rotted meat but I could clearly smell both while the person would be chomping away without a care in the world. I would break out in a cold sweat and have to move away, because it smelled awful. I was also able tolerate extremely cold weather.

Frankly, you don't know what you're talking about. In most medical schools, would-be doctors receive little to no specific nutritional training. In fact, in 2004 the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition conducted a survey of all 126 U.S. medical schools. Of the 106 who responded, they found that at 17 of them, students were receiving less than 10 hours of nutritional training and in more than half of them they were getting no more than 20 hours. That's it -- in FOUR years.

In the documentary you see video footage of him with his old body, in trunks. So yeah, it was what he looked like, no photoshop.

cont fibers and repel the pesticides as oil to water according to juice father doctor walker who lived to be age 97 on juices and raw foods--when fiber is in it or food is taken around that time most of the vital elements go to digestion but if one just consumes the juice it goes to healing and repair. Drink the juice within 20 minutes lest the ezymes etc dissipate make fresh each time do not hold in fridge (but with green smoothies you can hold 2/3 days) if fasting chew the juice.

cont If taking greens in your juice alternate the kind of greens you use every few days lest you get sick cause of chemicals in the plants but if alternated no problem (ie do not say drink kale every day or spinach or any other green..try mixing your greens with fruits as they can be mixed and greens should be another food group per Victoria Boutenko, green smoothie expert, as they are far superior nutritionally to veggies and fruits and contain about 50% protein.

Well actualy Joe Cross's video has been shown in Australia.
Maybe you can tell me what Joe Cross tried to sell you on the show apart from fresh fruit and veg and a juicer, he did name Breville but you can juice with any juicer and get results.
If you want a really good juicer get a masticating juicer but it will cost 2 to 3 times as much.
All Joe is saying is it worked for him and his friends.
I'm willing to have a go, my juicer cost $60.00 on ebay and the veg is reasonably cheap locally.

@Deuterstomia No name calling! They address these topics on their shows because they know people are curious about them. They will however, stop very short of endorsing juicing, raw food or herbs because Big Pharma pays them and it would make their jobs irrelevant.

OK, thanks. Mine seem to be from anything that stressed my body too much, weather it be a person who's a pain in the bum, too much sun, too cold, too much lemon, being too hot for too long.

Oh all those lucky people got that juicer :( I I bet less than 1/2 will use and I'm in need! I bought a cheap on from SAMs and had to exchange it out already once cause its not made for everyday use. Plus I feel I'm losing juice in the wet pulp. All the produce is expensive I need to get the most out of it. Joe if you see this thanks for the inspiration I'm doing the best I can with what I got and I know it's a 100 times better than what I was doing to my body before! Thanks again

Virginia, 4 to 6 - 16 ounce to 20 ounce glasses of juice a day. Plus plenty of water. If you get hungry, just drink some more juice, it won't hurt you. Good luck and Juice On!!

I'm assuming your a vegetarian or vegan.. Whatever works for you is great but I'm not going to stop consuming dairy or meat. I plan on doing the veg and fruit fast for like 10 days but after that I want my chicken and milk back. Last time I checked calcium and protein actually help the body. I might be eating half a plate of veg but I want at least some meat or sweet potatoes or something to change the flavours up so I don't get bored of the healthy lifestyle.

Drs says no juice & yes to meat..wth?

no the design of our teeth and digestion system is that of a plant eater... wolfs have sharp teath to tear into animals and have short digestion systems so they can process RAW MEAT! humans have digestion systems that take about 24hours to digest there food which would make eating raw meat deadly... humans are designed to be plant based eaters craving salt and fat because they are rare in the normal habitat (such as nuts and berries)
