- From the penultimate show of series 1, Phillip and Gordon go head to head in the gunge vote. Given the eventual outcome, it's a good job there were none of the voting scandals back then after 134,000 people had paid 15p to vote for one of them!

Ah, gunge - the staple of so many childrens' programmes in the 90s. This and Gladiators used to make for a fab Saturday night.
Wish they would bring back a gunge filled show like this on Saturday nights

Incidentally, this is the second time that Schofield was gunged by Noel. The first time was on the saturday roadshow. A little girl wrote in and like the good sport he is, went on and got gunged with tomato sauce, baked beans and a few other food bits.

@gculloty87 It was. DLT's Gotcha was brilliant, but the following week's show with DLT's revenge is the best edition of Noel's House Party ever. What a great show this was.
How can someone so confident not know his own mind?
It would look weird if they gunged just the puppet....and at the time Philip Schofield and Gordon were on Going Live. The Gunge tank was always based on something that was big during that season.
And they both got it anyway!

I think that noel edmonds just saw it as mischevous playfighting & banter on tv like all the other celebrities he gunged & did gotchas on. It was only when scofeild started showing his true colours & verbally attacking him on live tv & twitter that he stopped liking him
