double integration method is not equal to macaulay method
They are quite same, take a look at the video we integrate two times the obtained bending moment, thus we get a final answer for slope and deflection for different beams,thus double integration method could also be considered as the end result of macaulay's method, in order to avoid such a tedious derivation we remember formulas and directly substitute it in case of double integration method.
