- The Maui Police Department is actively working to solve cold case homicides and missing persons cases. The police department formed a new cold case detail four months ago in the wake of the Maui Wildfires.
August 8th was DEW and way more than 108 perished in the attack.
My son’s been missing since 2015 on Oahu..the rules/guidelines re missing Adults need to be revamped. No one even returns my calls anymore.. I hope you find peace soon!
The federal government should help Maui victims and their community.

Police departments are a joke on all islands (not necessarily individual officers but law enforcement/leadership in general). They don't have any clue how to solve any kinda of case from missing person to murder. Even police officers who have been murdered on Maui aren't given justice. Total fail and totally corrupt.
That's where you're wrong..
There are thousands of cold cases out there across the USA. The police investigate, interview and search for missing persons but when no evidence or leads develop the case will languish until new technology or new evidence or someone comes forward can the case move forward again. There are many, many factors in a person’s life that make it difficult to untangle what happened. Substance abuse, homelessness, lack of communication, unsavory acquaintances, illegal activities, liars, evidence degradation, last seen accountings, witnesses die or forget, isolation, reclusive behaviorʻ, heavy case load, miles of forestʻ, open land and oceans and time all are part of the obstacles. Hawaiʻi police do a good job and they work hard. Just like mainland states they plug away and once in a while they get to solve a cold case. Those that insult PDs are clueless. MOST are made up of hardworking officers and if you disagree then go apply for the job and let’s see how you do.
Dive teams need to be deployed now. These poor souls were most likely tossed in the ocean and that just enrage me!! Maui police department let's criminals be criminals. If you need help the police will tell you to your face, it's their land they can do what they want to you. Word for word what I've been told personally by a maui police officer. Hawaii Nation is real and there is no help for you.

The lack of any evidence to your defamatory statements against PD says all that needs to be said about your credibility.
