    Wow, that is quite the commute! It was a great day to cycle at least and that bridge looked huge! Glad you're able to take your bike on the trains to help shorten the length a little.

    Superbly green way of getting about Stockholm, if only more European Cities could be as great as this.from getting on the very futuristic elevator to boarding the trains this was a great insight into your commute! The bike lanes looked very safe too, especially with the barriers or mid way pavements to protect you from the road! A very interesting commute in! ❤ 🚴

    What a blessing to live in a country like that where the bike lanes are everywhere. Not like here in Latin America :(

      We are fortunate indeed :) I love cycling here but so does a lot more people so the problem we face is the traffic jam of cyclists every morning and evening

  • @mrcool7140
    @mrcool7140 3 місяці тому +1

    Cars aren't really the problem, the pedestrians are? Hmm questionable 😂. Pedestrians might be annoying sometimes, but they do not tend to kill you. Also they dont destroy the planet sooo...

    • @VagabondTurtle
      @VagabondTurtle  3 місяці тому

      When there is a developed infrastructure for cyclist traffic then cars become less of a problem, and it is mainly the other bikers disregarding the traffic rules or the pedestrians who step in front of you out of nothing are those who pose a problem. That has nothing to do with what is environmentally more friendly, of course pedestrians are better in that aspect, than cars. This is simply what could mean immediate danger, could cause injuries or damages. But yes, this statement only makes sense if a country or city has infrastructure for cyclists, thankfully Stockholm does.

    26:33 it would be safer if you just continue straight and not swing out like that following the bike line to point

    • @VagabondTurtle
      @VagabondTurtle  День тому

      @@beanostheman2670 well it wouldn’t be. You can see that the lane is only available for one car, and there is also a bus lane next to it. Also the bike lane has to be followed here if there is a bike lane. Thirdly, what looks like swinging is actually quite a normal turn, GoPro can be very deceiving. Thanks for the comment!

    got started on this earlier today and will return when i've got more time. this is fun. i laughed so hard when you said you are always late. 🤣 thanks filming the whole route, i love seeing people's commutes. and i'm so jealous of those bike lanes everywhere! in chicago, you're allowed to bring your bike on the train, but only when it isn't rush hour (useful eh?) and to complicate it, there is no posted times for this, so they can just say, "no it's rush hour" whenever they want just to keep bikes off. mr sl, skips the train and just rides the whole way into city center. ride safe, my friends!

      Hey Scootlady, hope all is good on the other side of the pond :)
      I'm glad you enjoyed this "little" video :D we are also allowed the bike sonly in non-rush hours, hopefully changes one day...

      @@VagabondTurtle sad to hear even in an area like yours where bike travel is so embraced that there are still limitations for rush hour when it's needed most!

      I absolutely agree, there should be more possibilities for blended travel
