Appetite for destruction is still the greatest rock n roll debut album of all time
First cd I ever got, 13th birthday present with a cd player.
It's insane to realize GnR really only had two regular album releases before their breakup at the top of the game.
(Lies was a weird rerelease and acoustic "filler", Illusion was a double album for twice the price, Incident was cover's)
That or Van Halen 1 💯

He's barely a member. His job is to do one of Axle's jobs live so Axle can run around.
@@michaelmorningstar8645 I was today years old when I learned GNR even had a fulltime keyboardist. I always thought it was Slash, Izzy, Duff, Steve, and Axl. Though, I was always a Nirvana kid. I do love GNR, but I never got into them during my formative years. I never actually looked into it.
dizzy is only there because he is/was one of Axl's major 'yes' men, otherwise he's totally forgettable and no one thinks of him as a member of the band

I was really impressed with his autobiography and articles he's written for Seattle newspapers. He's clearly a very intelligent guy. He didn't come across that way in the early 90s, cause he was so drunk! Most of the GNR guys seem to have unfathomed depths.
I love how Duff is the only one who isn't wearing sunglasses. He has such a down to earth persona. Non Rock star attitude from his punk background.

Dizzy Reed is really not the right person to ask about "Double Talkin' Jive" and "My World." The questions are more for Izzy and Axl who are the songwriters.
Plus, I believe the UYI 1 stuff was mainly old songs from before Appetite when he wasn't in the band.

@@TerribleEnglish that explains what I noted as a significant stylistic difference between tracks on I vs II. Part I seemed to sound more "punk" or "club" and part II seemed like great arena tunes.

Because what easy and comfortable was for all the other musicians to join to the band when GN'R was already one of the greatest rock band, but, YOU KNOW that all that recognition IS the product of Izzy, Steven, Duff, Slash and Axl work.
What you do think? That Guns N' Roses is just a name we can put on a group of musicians where Axl Rose is the vocalist??? 😂😂😂

Q&A should have done to Izzy. Most mysterious character in Gn'r with so much to talk about.
He is like John Swartzwelder from the Simpsons, he wrote some of the most iconic parts of that show and yet he is an enigma who rarely does inteviews.

Had an awesome shout out from Dizzy Reed once when he launched a solo album.dude is really humble and such a top guy.
At the end, when dizzy mentioned the current members not being invited, I’m assuming this was before the reunion. But, in all fairness, those “current members” never contributed to the work that GNR created getting them to stardom in the first place.

Dizzy is from The Wild?!!! Omg, my friends and I saw The Wild play in L.A. in the late 80s and loved them, but then lost track of them. I've always remembered them but have never heard anything else about them for decades. I can't believe I ran across this video & then hear The Wild come up...whoa. Mind freaking blown. I remember the lead singer was similar to Ian Atsbury of The Cult, a band we already loved.

He gets so annoyed with interviews, I think that’s why he hates it, and never participate it (mostly).
I don’t blame Axl. No matter what he has ever said or done he is always picked apart and ridiculed for any little thing he ever says or does.

My biggest question is : how did all those guys (not only Gn'R but every rock and metal band at the time) how did they manage to survive the 70's, 80's and 90's with all the dr*gs and "magic mushrooms" and alcohol they took? Ozzy Osbourne is one of the worst concerning dr*g abuse, Slash is not far behind.
All those guys spent years being toxicomaniacs, they should have die by overdose or cancer since..........decades, but they're still alive

Dizzy never wanted to admit he wasn’t on illusion lol. Axl played the keyboards on illusion. Dizzy was just a hired gun for tours.

@@nkmcfrln according to slash’s book dizzy had nothing to do with the band until the tour. Likewise with duffs book. Slash said Axl played all the piano parts and synths. Did you know the orchestra on “November rain” is just Axl doing sythns? So there is contradictory data on this issue. Dizzy is such a musical non-entity it will be impossible to ever tell. Such a basic player.
Read the credits of the Use Your Illusion songs in the vinyl or CD booklet and you will change your opinion.

Yeah he talks about it in his book. Turns out his heart races when he gets on stage and the first show he played was with Michael Jackson in New York and Slash says when he started playing he got a shock he played the whole show getting shocked several times by his pacemaker . He said he had to go back to the Dr. and they had to recalibrate it turn its sensitivity down or something. His book is a great read, as is Duff’s and Adler’s in fact Adler’s might be the best out of the three.
But yes he has a pacemaker.
Cocaine and heroin are hella drugs. Not to mention the gallons of booze.
