  • Removing the bland and boring tile around your gas fireplace is easy! We'll show you how to remove tile from a wall in no time at all. Removing the old tile is the first step when it comes to updating your fireplace to the latest style.
All you need for this job is a sharp blade or utility knife, a hammer, and a crowbar.
    1. Cut the drywall around the tile surround
    2. Use a crowbar and a hammer to get behind the tile to loosen the old mortar
We recommend that you lay down some cardboard or an old blanket to protect your floor from falling tile chunks. Depending on how well the previous owner or contractor put up the tiles, some may be significantly harder to remove than others.
Good luck and have fun with demolition! Be safe!

Thanks for showing. Unfortunately mine don't seem to easily peel away from the wall like that. I have to demo the drywall.

How much would you charge to remove ledger stone from a full room? 8' ceilings, around doorways?
