I never comment on anything, but I've been going back and forth in my mind about it and I have finally decided to say that I absolutely enjoy this channel, through everything. Delilah, you truly are an inspiration to me. Im not sure if you'll even get to my comment, but you've given me the motivation to make my house a home for myself, my husband and my 3 children, ages 10, 7, and 2. I will always enjoy watching your videos, and am always excited when you upload! And the way you live your life for God fills my heart with warmth and has been tugging at my heart strings, reminding me of my childhood and pulling me closer to God once again. Thank you, truly. I still can't put into words how much I appreciate your videos.
I do love a good ‘thrift we me’ video! I’ve missed you vlogging and talking “live” with your camera ☺️ Favourite videos are your early morning ‘get ready with me’. Something about it is so zen and calming to the soul. Next are your cleaning / decluttering videos, sooo satisfying!! My favourite item from your haul was the little bowls that you got. A great find!!
I really hope you see this comment - the white sweater holes might be moth holes! They're absolutely fixable, but ideally you should put it in a zip lock bag and put it in the freezer for a few days, bring it out and thaw it for a day, then freeze it for a few more days again, to make sure there aren't any moth eggs remaining!
This is the first time I’ve noticed that you have short thumbs! My gorgeous mother has the same thumbs and I always love seeing people with that! Reminds me of home and of all the beautiful memories my mother created with those unique and loving hands❤ one day your sweet babies might smile every time they see a stranger with their mamas thumbs!
Hi! When you have little holes like that in your thrifted clothes, make sure to put them in the freezer for a couple of days. Those are usually made by moths, and freezing them kills all the moth eggs. This way, you don't risk to have all the clothes in your wardrobe get eaten by moths! 😅 Hugs from Romania!
I worked in high end denim for 6 years- omg when I quit I had a revelation that dresses are infinitely better in every way! I wish they were a smidge easier wear in the winter. Not enough warm and flattering winter dresses and skirts out there!
The gingham bedsheet was such a find! You and I had our babies around the same time so I'm enjoying the solidarity of seeing someone else curate a postpartum wardrobe too! I also appreciate that you aren't just spinning out over not being able to fit your old clothes yet - this is a great example to others! I love how you are embracing the beauty and reality of the stage you (and I) are in.
For the holes. Embroidery is a great idea. You can also very carefully see them up with similar thread inside out. For the scratchy cardigan. Soaking them in some water with hair conditioner could help. Might be worth it if you’re in live with them and they’re made from wool. I wouldn’t bother with polyester/acrylic. With the skirt, it’s beautiful. I’d suggest you flip it inside out, but it on that way and pin it to fit you where the seams are and blend them into the original seams. If you’re really motivated you could even clean up the seams on the inside after but if it’s Just for yourself you can just clean them up with a zigzag stitch to stop fraying.
It brings me so much joy to see someone else get as excited and passionate about old or vintage thrift finds. I also get wicked stoked about finding a good coffee cup or stunning old frames. I'll tell anyone who's willing to lend an ear about it, which generally only includes my boyfriend, my great grandmother, and occasionally my sisters lol. Loving these videos 🤍
We have such similar style. And I'm in the same place post-partum. I've been obsessing over aprons, skirts, wool, and linen. And I just started sewing. Love. Thanks for the inspiration sis. God bless
I absolutely love your thrift with me videos! My youngest is 9 months and I feel like my wardrobe is changing since last winter I was very pregnant lol. Now you've inspired me to want to go thrifting lol
I really do miss your vlogs and hopefully if the time is right then it would be lovely to see them return in the future but I am really loving your new videos too! Especially the ones on homeschool! Love to you and your family from the UK ❤
Also Delilah check your sewing patterns for the sizing because they’re not sized the same as clothing! Compare with the measurements. A size 10 dress can be like a 16 in a pattern
Hi Delilah, love your thrift with me videos. You find such neat things. The pearl sweater is darling on you. The holes I would also embroider over the hole. Maybe a 🌟 star or moon. Maybe your birth sign. You could also fold it over & handsew the hem if the sleeves are a little long. The skirt you could maybe put some elastic in the back or put it in a causing, like wide bias tape. I'm so glad you're doing more sewing & I would like to see you do more sewing videos as well as thrifting & recipes. I love the pearl sweater on you & those cute bowles. What finds. The picture frames are great too! Thanks for sharing! ❤️☺️🫂🎄🎁🎅🏻🤶🏻🎉❄️☃️🌟
I feel the same way about my pants lately and even though I do just fit in my jeans again (but I need to still lose about twenty pounds), I have a lot of floppy skin in it that feels gross for me in postpartum. I find skirts just feel better lately. I love those bowls you found! They are really nice. What great thrift stores you have.
Hi Delilah, I really enjoy your thrifting videos. Favorite finding of yours: the mug 🙂 While you were showing the sewing patterns, I thought that I would enjoy watching you sewing/altering your findings. But any content from you is valuable, really ❤ Have a nice day, Vanessa
Your videos are so relaxing and enjoying to watch. Thank you for making another great video! That was a great haul you got. I am pretty impressed with what you managed to find. I love the baskets, you can never have too many baskets! And the sweater with the pearl buttons was gorgeous on you. Love the little bowls too. Great haul!
Came to this channel through your thrift videos, and I must say even though I love the other content, something therapeutic about these thrift videos you do 😅
I really missed your thrifting/haul videos! You scored some beautiful finds 💗 When you showed the picture frames right after you showed the wonderful fabrics and immediately thought that a bit of one of the fabrics would look amazing in one of the frames :)
I actually loved that dark blue sweater on you. I remember you had some blue and green dresses that the cardigan can warm you up. Also, do you wear leggings ( not panty hose, but thicker and opaque) that would winterize those dresses. Maybe wear a pair of booties with them? You look good in everything.
That would keep her legs nice and warm!! But it seems like people either love them or hate them. When it’s REALLY cold, here in the state of northern Missouri, I wear leggings under a regular pair of pants! That really helps keep the cold out, when I’m outside, or doing errands.
I love your thrift hauls! That white shirt with the pearl buttons looked beautiful on you! I hope you can work something out with the holes, I was bummed for ya.
I dont know if she knows this but see gives me peace of mind when i listen to her voice i loved everything you bought its sad that some had to go back. I love watching you bake bread its so relaxing i appreciate you ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Hiliary, from Old World Home is a mother of four, who in last year has switched wearing dresses. Most of her family's clothing and decor is thrifted. She is also a wonderful Christian woman.
Keep the skirt! If you’re going to learn Sewing, and our gathering, material and patterns. alterations are a great place to start. You could probably do it in a way so you could take it in for your size now and again, if you change further.
The lingerie sewing pattern 😂 I would love to follow along on your sewing journey! Im also a beginner sewer and it’s fun to see what other people come up with ☺️
Your thrift videos are my fave because you have such distinct taste and know exactly who you are and what you like. One question though because I love baskets but I'm unsure about this... How do you sanitize them? (Also I love the cream sweater. I like a rolled cuff so I'd fold it and hem it but it depends on your taste.)
I so enjoy seeing you expand your closet and homewares through thrifting! It really inspires me to try the same... I can't get over what you're able to find at the thrift stores over in Canada! We would never get such great stuff here in NZ 😮
If it has holes in it and is a natural fiber put it in a bag and put it in the freezer for a week so that if it has moth larvae it will die and not do any damage to your other clothes.
Love thrifting videos! I would love to see how you clean things from the thrift store. You mentioned how you would clean the wooden spoons which was helpful! I feel like there’s things I find but I’m not sure how to make sure they’re super clean? (Like baskets with all the nooks and crannies, wooden toys/items, etc)
Such a lovely video! As always ❤ You mentioned using one of the baskets for knitting things, so I was curious if you would ever share the projects you have knitted!? I am a crocheter and recently picked up knitting this year. Would love to see your knits!!
Have a look at a secondhand Readers Digest Complete Guide to Sewing. Preferably a modern copy. Also try to pick up at some stage a simple to use Overlocker machine. An Overlocker finishes off raw edges so fabrics don't unravel. If you are relatively new to sewing, see if there is a class going locally, that teaches basics including using an overlocker. The book was a reference manual when I was doing my course on Commercial Dressmaking, a few decades ago.

In case she see’s this. Same here!!! I am a young mother of 2 (2yr old & 3 month old). Thank you Delilah 💗

That skirt is the simplest to take in, just follow the line. If you can sew at all, you can do it. Lovely blue on you.
I worked in high end denim for 6 years- omg when I quit I had a revelation that dresses are infinitely better in every way! I wish they were a smidge easier wear in the winter. Not enough warm and flattering winter dresses and skirts out there!
Uniqlo heattech leggings are a game changer. And the singlets and such.
For the scratchy cardigan, if you soak it in hair Conditioner and warm water it will soften considerably. Hope that helps!

I'm already just so excited, I love your thrifting videos!! It's getting me pumped to collect my maternity wardrobe
Delilah the chocolate brown sweater (number two) is so good!! Also love the navy!
The white sweater is the prettiest. You can try sewing a bit of lace around the cuffs to cover the holes!
Oh YES I Loooooove a Thrifting With Delilah vlog! ❤❤❤
Couldn't click fast enough when I saw you had a thrift shop/haul! Love your baskets-great size!
Also Delilah check your sewing patterns for the sizing because they’re not sized the same as clothing! Compare with the measurements. A size 10 dress can be like a 16 in a pattern
100% this, and trace the pattern, do not cut the physical pattern incase you sre wrong

Loving that you're going for some more colour!
I love the floral fabric and the gingham sheet. You looked very pretty in the navy sweater-I hope you kept it.
That flowered piece of fabric would make a stunning apron to shoot your cooking videos in :)

I always enjoy your thrifting videos. You found some great things!
BoNash Fuse It Powder can take care of those little moth holes. Works great!
If it has holes in it and is a natural fiber put it in a bag and put it in the freezer for a week so that if it has moth larvae it will die and not do any damage to your other clothes.
FYI you can fix the holes with sewing thread! there are UA-cam videos that explain the technique. It works so well!! Loved that white top on you
Navy top, 1,000% yes!
I like to see you embracing color in your wardrobe.
I hope once you feel confident enough to give us some sewing help too! Love it!
