It's validating seeing a seasoned mom struggling a little more with a newborn. Makes me feel not alone and that the issues Ive had with my firstborn are not entirely my fault. Babies just like what they like and are all different... 😅
I’m so dang thankful for you. I have a 4 week old baby (my 3rd) and I’ve been struggling so much. You help me to realize, there’s nothing wrong with wearing my baby constantly and the fact that he can’t sleep in his bassinet with his sisters screaming doesn’t mean I’m failing. Please keep posting as often as you’re able. You help bring me back to the center of young motherhood. Thank you ❤
Thissss. My Mom keeps telling me that my daughter needs to start sleeping in her crib or she will develop bad sleeping habits, but our house is constantly noisy and it's really hard to put her down. She just sleeps better with the noise if she is snuggling with someone. I'm so glad to see that I'm not alone in this
She's beautiful. She has definitely grown so much already. Aw. It is beautiful to see all your children growing and your lovely family dynamic. You are great parents. Keep up the great work.
As a mom of 4, I've had colicky babies, especially my first. The first advice is to try napping the baby on their tummy. I know it's not 'advised' but thats how we survived with her. I found out after a lot of trial that ALL 4 of my babies are very sensitive to me eating dairy. Like, it couldn't even be a tiny bit in something or my babies spit up and are fussy. However, i will say that with every newborn, there is some newborn tummy issues as they adjust. I agree with another commenter that outside time with the baby is a must!
You are doing a phenomenal job, Mama! Just keep enjoying this newborn phase, it goes by so quickly!! Get all those snuggles in 🤗 Seeing William take his little blue circle/cushion when you were reading to your two oldest ones - so stinking cute!!
My first born was similar to Annie, she loved being close and having cuddles, and slept much easier wrapped to me or with me holding her. I’m 10 weeks with my second and it’s nice to hear that not all babies are the same in the newborn stage… I’ll be navigating a 2 1/2 year old with a newborn as a solo mother, praying for peace and grace.
A knowledgeable chiropractor can help colic so much! You're right it gets so much easier! I had my first 4 kids in 5 years and that was so hard when none of them are very self sufficient yet. I'm having #7 in April but now my oldest is 12 and it's a whole different world! ❤
I don't know if you'll ever read this but I had the same reflux issue with my first born (besides him being a preemie). Long story short, he was seen by a GI doctor and he suggested me to cut dairy off my diet. He mentioned that most of the time it seemed to work for most of the mommies. So I did it and guess what? within two weeks I had a happier baby who was barely spitting up. :) I hope this helps! Also, I just had my second baby as well and he seems to have a temper already haha. When he turned exactly one month old he started acting fussy and cranky as well. I came to realize that he wasn't able to sleep like he used to (so opposite to my first one), so I started darkening the room and white noise (I know that you don't want them to rely on this) and I didn't want it either. However, I realized that this was the only way in which he started to sleep better and calmer. So I guess sometimes we'll have to do whatever works better for them. God bless you and your sweet family! ❤
Yay new video!! Love your work Delilah, thank you for the energy and effort you put in to all areas of your life! I’ve been binging on your videos and it’s been really helpful for me as I’m preparing to be a new Mum, don’t have many friends living in a new city and am self employed. I also lost my Dad last year so it’s been a hard time to make new friends. (I’m getting there though, doing much better) Your videos help me stay focused when I’m at home like I have company when I’m cleaning, or need to have social time but don’t feel up to it. Many blessings for your family and prayers that you may be replenished and nourished and never taken for granted ❤😊
You’ve probably already gotten a lot of comments, but you should try cutting out dairy, that reallly helped my son who struggled with milk protein. Was very cranky and a week after I stopped dairy was much better. He outgrew the allergy about 9 months old.
I was told this same thing by my lactation consultant. She told me to cut out foods that caused more gas discomfort for my baby. Dairy and beans (including chocolate and coffee bean)!
Same here!! Ours has cows milk protein allergy and now I'm pretty convinced my First Had too. She cried so much!! Our second is 9months now, and I really want to try dairy again (me, breastfeeding). But She has a semi constant runny nose/cough(gifted viruses from big sis) and I don't want to miss symptoms..how did you reintroduce milk?!
I second the cutting out dairy comments! I have a 5 week old and she's doing so much better (and skin cleared up!) after cutting dairy. She also had an adjustment & tie revisions, so that definitely helped a ton too for our specific situation.
As someone who is looking forward to being a young mom I appreciate having somome on social media who still posts about this chapter in life which is gettint more rare to find :) Also, What a beautiful family!!
Thank you for sharing such a precious, raw time with us. Your videos bring me such joy and peace and make me feel so much less alone in Motherhood as a young Mum of, soon to be 2. ❤️
Keep a close eye on Annabeths sensory needs. My son has sensory input difficulties and seeks deep pressure stimulation to help regulate himself. He was the same as Annabeth, always wanting to be held and cozied… he cried a lot (scream crying) if he wasn’t. Sensory issues can really affect all aspects of a child’s life. Looking back (my son is almost 5 and we finally understand the reasoning behind all his “quirks”) I recognize all these signs that I didn’t back then. We could have helped him live a more fulfilling/comfortable/regulated life if I had known before. I’m only pointing this out in a loving way! I am not an expert, just a mom sharing some knowledge! Blessed be!
@@eirinidelia2368 You can look for info related to “sensory processing disorder” (SPD) or “sensory processing sensitivity” or “highly sensitive person” (HSP). As kids get older it’s more obvious if they struggle with some of these sensitivities or if either parent has this, may be more likely that your child could have it as well.
This is what I love about creating parenting communities. There can be a lot of mum shaming online and irl but there is also a lot of knowledge and experiences being shared and talked about and a lot of support. People have inputs on things you never experienced and you can share your own experiences and overall I feel like Delilah has created a supportive community where that is possible in her comments. I know it's always easy to look back and say "I could've done better had I known" but the past is in the past and you did your best. What's important is that now you know and can accommodate your son's needs much better, and create an environment for him where he can thrive even more. I think lots of parents fall into "If only I'd known sooner" when something like this happens, but it's impossible to know everything about our children from day one, and you're doing a great job , mama! @@mael2039 Yes, I agree very much with what you’ve said! I never expected to receive such a beautiful and supportive response. I greatly appreciate your kind words! Sending it right back to you! Blessed be! ✨🙏🏻
My fourth was my baby that wanted the wrap and wanted skin to skin to sleep too. He would also scream if he found I was not there and many times was sleeping uncomfortably by himself. He’s two now, still has trouble sleeping comfortably, and needs at least my hand to hold to fall asleep sometimes. There have been many times I second guessed myself. But I keep reminding myself that one day he will not need me, not want my hand, not want a snuggle, and it will happen so fast. Well attached kids are secure kids. I never want my kids to struggle with healthy attachments, feel like they’re a burden for wanting extra love or help, or feel like they can’t expect that from future partners. Not to mention we are emulating empathy. The world needs more empathetic people! ☺️🖤
My daughter literally lived the first months in the same baby wrap.. she loved that. I miss so much that time, always cuddling her, it was so special. You're doing definitely right cherishing every moment ❤
My daughter is about the same age as William and she suffered from CMPA and would only sleep on me (and hardly at all at night). I remember thinking I was failing as a mom bc William would sleep anywhere, often while being dragged around by his older two siblings! Some babies just struggle a little more in the beginning than others. In the end I had to cut out dairy and soy if I wanted to continue breastfeeding, but everything changed for the better when I stopped breastfeeding and switched to hypoallergenic formula. I hope her problems aren’t as severe, but we’re here for you, Mama!
Have your tried switching to raw dairy or goats dairy? It is much easier to digest and would probably be less harsh for the baby to digest. They don't really have the ability to digest dairy so young. Also alot of recommendations about a chiro adjustment for Anna could also help! Try not to push yourself too hard love, you're already doing enough as is. Sending love.
I had to cut dairy and soy from my diet since my baby is allergic. But her symptoms were blood in her poop and lots of mucus, not only gas. Soy and cows milk protein allergies sometimes come together. It’s really challenging being on a dairy and soy free diet but it is helpful for my baby so I’m trying to stick to it
New favourite youtuber by a landslide!! So calming and reassuring to watch (struggling with a VERY fussy 7 week old right now!!) but at the same time so realistic. just wonderful
This is so beautiful, you are such a natural mother! It makes it seem so easy and it's good for me to watch someone so calm in their parenting when my two are being challenging! Thank you
I love watching your videos, my life is the other end to yours, grown-up family, all older than you, but still at home, but watching you brings back so many happy memories, yes I was the mum who hated it, when the boys went back to school after the holidays, I just loved family time even on the worst of days, thats why I find your videos so relaxing, you are my HRT lol, your voice is so calming. I adore your family. My tip with a new baby, dont listen to anyone else, just listen to your heart & your baby. Take care xoxo
Thank you for posting your parenting journey with your growing family. I am pregnant with my second right now and it makes me anxious to think about how things will work in our house. Seeing your videos helps calm that fear, and know that it’s not only to be ok but it’s also going to be lovely!
Hey Delilah, I love seeing your daily life. It's inspirational and relatable haha I would love to see some of the books you and the kids are reading maybe on Instagram or a blog post? Always looking for good clean educational books for our kids too ❤
I love watching these newborn videos! I've been watching the ones from when Will was new and I can see how much having a newborn connects you and Zack. I'm having my first in January and I really hope that our little one can bring us closer like you. I'm wishing you all the happiness in the world ❤
It’s a totally different perspective, but when my son was a baby he cried many many many months in the beginning. I was told that because they come straight from heaven into this world it’s very hard to fit the soul in this tiny teeny body. Their bodies literally can hurt in the beginning. When you said it’s colic or smth or something I don’t even know I thought maybe this is it. It’s now always like that but mostly with souls who are kinda huge in a good way. Bless yous!
At the moment mine is the same. Mine is 8 months and she is teething. She is so needy and part of me loves it the other is a bit tired from the hard nights and carrying her around all the time. But it's a phase and it will pass fast so I just take the time a be with her because she needs me, like you said.
Have you tried having babies neck/head up right facing the ceiling in one hand ( between thumb and neck finger) and the other hand do soft pinches along the spine all way up. I learnt this with my 3rd. Really helped, also hand towel or towel folded under top half the mattress can help as well.
❤ Love the video! I’m currently nap-trapped with our 5 week old baby. Perhaps a suggestion: we’ve used infant probiotics with our little one and it has helped a lot with colic/cramps. We live in Europe so I’m not certain if you can purchase it in the USA?
I gasped when you brought her outside once you finally got her down at the end! Haha you’re so brave 😅 I feel like she is going to be Eloise’s TWIN. My goodness. What a beautiful little baby. It’s so hard with a reflux/ gassy baby. Keep up the good work❤
I know what u mean! I think I gasped too, at that! I thought, oh know, won’t that wake her up to pick up the cradle, carry it outside, and then putting it down?! Don’t think I would have risked it. I probably would have put a baby monitor by her, in the house, so I could hear her, if she started crying. Yes, I think Annabeth is pretty much Eloise’s twin. Anna is really alert! And when Delilah was holding her vertical in the kitchen, I noticed she was already holing her head up really well!! I think from the start, she looked older than she was. She just really seems advanced for her age! And looks older, too. Anna has more of a toddler look. She is really precious!!
We're in the trying to conceive stage and have binge watched your channel. We tried for the first time in last month (September) and sadly it was negative, but I have learned we tried when I wasn't even ovulating 😅, I ovulated two weeks later than the Flo App had said. Thanks to your channel, we've decided I should track my cycle for the next three months and try again from January. Also now learning about babies through your channel.
I don't know if this will be helpful to you but I used ovulation app for a long time in my struggle to conceive for a year long. My mom would tell me that I shouldnt use the app and just have sex right after my period is done. After much trying I did follow mom's advice and lo, I was pregnant. I have a 3 month old baby now. I told 3 of my fri2nds who were trying so hard to conceive and they also got pregnant after having intercourse soon after their period was over. ummm. Maybe you try the same. God bless your journey

You are so genuine and kind person.. Really wait for your vlog.. To snatch some peaceful moments from your vlog
Hi Delilah, I wish I had someone like you when I had my colic baby. She was real bad. But finally the Dr said to put her on goats milk. She started getting better little by little. My milk was not good enough I had a lot allergies so I wasn't producing enough milk. Was so glad that the goats milk worked. She started gaining weight. She was my third baby. You take care. You'll get through it all & a year from now you'll wonder how you got through it, but you know you can get through most things. You are a great Mother & wife. Take care! Thanks for sharing! ♥️☺️🫂🍁🎃🦇👻☠️🦃
I swear, colic babies just love being outside. Our last 2 were colic. 3rd baby was the worst. Bouncing on the yoga ball helped the best to calm them down. Weekly visits to the chiropractor was also a must. Some are just way worse than others. I wish every mom knew what to do to help their colicky baby. Sleepy elevated was also the only way i could get mine to sleep. I'd let them nap during the day in their belly. Baby wearing was my all time favorite though. I absolutely loved it. Hey, you can put a stool in front of the washer. I'm short, so I know all about not being able to reach when wearing a baby. 😂😂😂😂 And oh my goodness, she is so tiny and beautiful. I miss newborn cuddles.
Gosh I hate to see gas issues with the little ones, especially when I know it can be so easily overcome simply by changing up mamas diet for the 1st 6 months. Deliah, I am an Ayurvedic poatpartum doula and gas comes from certain food groups. Namely, raw veg, brassicas, wheat and dairy (although ghee doesn't count and can be used instead of butter)). When I work with new mamas we avoid all of these things for the 1st few months and then gradually introduce them, that way you can see if there are any issues straight away. If handled like this I have no experienced any gas or colic issues for more then 24 hours or so as we pinpoint the food intolerance straight away. There stomachs and digestive systems are so fragile at this point. I would always flag the dairy FIRST and take it from there. It can take a week or so to fully leave the system so give it a chance before deciding 'oh it's not that'.....reach out if you need anymore info!
So many comments about cutting out dairy and colic and sensitivity but all of these things are huge symptoms of tongue ties!! She’s needs to be evaluated for ties, and NOT by a pediatrician, only those who are trained in tongue ties. Which are usually pediatric dentists. Hope this helps!
What are some strategies that you use to help with a colicky baby? My husband and I just had alittle girl and she is a bit colicky, only wants to be held. What are some steps and strategies that you use to calm the baby?
Did drinking coffee bother your babies at all? Some women don't have any issues but I found that my children all resisted sleep when I had caffeinated drinks because I was breastfeeding. Dandelion tea became my new coffee replacement lol
When you were trying to reach into the wash I was thinking you can probably use one of those robotic hands/claws you got the boys for Christmas 😅 I image it would be handy when you have to reach down while having a baby on you 😊
?? - Okay I’ve been searching and searching and can’t find it - would you PLEASE share the brand of your skirt? Thank you! I have loved binging your channel since I found it a couple weeks ago!
I feel for you my son was the same, he grew out of it once he could move around more. I got to the the point I’d dread another feed as it would start the cycle over again 😢
I don't know if Anna Beth is just naturally warm but my 3 all had pretty cold feet as babies. They would always wear wool socks. Is that just me ;D?? You are doing so great ❤.
Congrats on Annie's birth! I would agree with a lot of the comments below that I think her fussiness is r/t reflux. I think it would be reasonable for you to check with your family MD and/or adjust your diet for a couple of weeks to see if that helps. (I work as a Registered Dietitian in Ontario). My two cents :)

I also struggled immensely with my son when he was a few months old in terms of sleeping. I eventually had to sleep train him because i was spending 5 hours every evening trying to relax him and then he would cry as soon as i put him into his crib. This was in addition to the hours i spent every day trting to get him down for a nap. He wouldn't sleep in a wrap, he wanted to be laying down in my arms. It was not sustainable. Anyways he is almost 2 now and a wonderful sleeper!!! It was hard but definitely worth it

I love watching these newborn videos! I've been watching the ones from when Will was new and I can see how much having a newborn connects you and Zack. I'm having my first in January and I really hope that our little one can bring us closer like you. I'm wishing you all the happiness in the world ❤
Delilah❤ your videos brighten my day you inspire me to be a better mama thank you ❤❤
Another idea you might try: nursing reclined back, helps keep them from eating too fast and sucking in air
Bless yous!
If you can find an old fashioned pair of washing tongs it might help. They're kind of like a giant long pronged wooden peg/ tong combination
At the moment mine is the same. Mine is 8 months and she is teething. She is so needy and part of me loves it the other is a bit tired from the hard nights and carrying her around all the time. But it's a phase and it will pass fast so I just take the time a be with her because she needs me, like you said.
Have you tried having babies neck/head up right facing the ceiling in one hand ( between thumb and neck finger)
and the other hand do soft pinches along the spine all way up. I learnt this with my 3rd. Really helped, also hand towel or towel folded under top half the mattress can help as well.
You are doing such a great job being a mom of 4 its not easy and i just wanted to say you're doing such a great job🥺❤️
yes its truly a wonder
annie's room is so peaceful.. what is the glider you have? love this new baby/full family content!
Haha you’re so brave 😅
I feel like she is going to be Eloise’s TWIN.
Omg you and other mums are so inspiring❤
@@animals5662 thank you so much. We will definitely try your suggestion.
I'm sensitive and emotional person.. I thought only i felt the same way as you said.. That fragrance remind you some past memories.. Yes you are right.. I do feel it whenever i smell old perfume.. You are so genuine and kind person.. Really wait for your vlog.. To snatch some peaceful moments from your vlog
She sounds exactly like what my parents say my sister was like as a baby. Only sleeping when carried. You’ve got this ❤
My baby was such a wrap baby too! Tongs are the best for getting the last bits of laundry out of the washer 😊
I love Lavanilla's Vanilla Grapefruit scent! It's the only one I wear! :)
I love Lavanilla!!! I found it in a perfume magazine my grandmother had, it had a scent insert. I've been using it for 5 years!
Check for oral ties. That could be Annie’s issue.
Or ask to be put on omeprazole. It was a game changer for my daughter !!
So beautiful and heartfelt. Thanks for sharing Delilah. God bless you and your family ❤
And oh my goodness, she is so tiny and beautiful. I miss newborn cuddles.
I would LOVE to see you try out the Swaddelini!
Also, your ads are so well done. Like I wanna know what you use and your settings cause 😍😍
Put a pair of tongs by the washer. They are very helpful extending your reach getting those socks.
Thank you Delilah for sharing this.
Your videos always bring me such a joy to watch🤍thanks for sharing
Can you tell me where you got your beautiful linen nightgown? I’m obsessed 😍
There is a over counter drop in the shoppers, witch is good for colic gas
It’s name is Ovol
So many comments about cutting out dairy and colic and sensitivity but all of these things are huge symptoms of tongue ties!! She’s needs to be evaluated for ties, and NOT by a pediatrician, only those who are trained in tongue ties. Which are usually pediatric dentists. Hope this helps!
Where is your skirt from? Love it
What are some strategies that you use to help with a colicky baby? My husband and I just had alittle girl and she is a bit colicky, only wants to be held. What are some steps and strategies that you use to calm the baby?
Did drinking coffee bother your babies at all? Some women don't have any issues but I found that my children all resisted sleep when I had caffeinated drinks because I was breastfeeding. Dandelion tea became my new coffee replacement lol
When you were trying to reach into the wash I was thinking you can probably use one of those robotic hands/claws you got the boys for Christmas 😅 I image it would be handy when you have to reach down while having a baby on you 😊
Is this perfume brand non-toxic and free of endocrine disrupters?
Two seconds in and the baby fever is real. 🤣
where is your linen nightgown from? it is lovely
Have you considered a chiro adjustment for her.
Just what I needed ❤
?? - Okay I’ve been searching and searching and can’t find it - would you PLEASE share the brand of your skirt? Thank you! I have loved binging your channel since I found it a couple weeks ago!
Let me pause the video and say HOW CUTE! 😅
Which wrap is she using?!
Do you end up with water stains on your wooden bench? I am contemplating getting them, but would like some feedback
Did you plan all the 4 kids to be closed age?
Love your videos!!❤❤
Luarbiasa hebat punya rumah bagus anak2 yg sehat dan tinggal bersama pasangan. Bahagia itu impian saya semoga saya juga bisa sprti itu
What is that gorgeous high chair????
I feel for you my son was the same, he grew out of it once he could move around more. I got to the the point I’d dread another feed as it would start the cycle over again 😢
Oh dear, I see what u mean!!
Beautiful vlog💜
Love all your videos! Where do you get your lovely dresses and skirts?
I don't know if Anna Beth is just naturally warm but my 3 all had pretty cold feet as babies. They would always wear wool socks. Is that just me ;D?? You are doing so great ❤.
You and i share the same birthday and we have so similar taste, i have the exact same plates at my place.
Thanks for a great vlog Delilah! Praying for you all as you navigate mothering and parenting 4 littles!❤️
Both my kids were like annie. Until they were 4-5 months needed to be held constantly. I just gave up and surrendered...
It’s easier to cook the rice in the microwave, 15 minutes on high
Congrats on Annie's birth!
I would agree with a lot of the comments below that I think her fussiness is r/t reflux. I think it would be reasonable for you to check with your family MD and/or adjust your diet for a couple of weeks to see if that helps. (I work as a Registered Dietitian in Ontario). My two cents :)
Where do you get that adorable AnnaBeth outfit?
Hello! Does anyone know what that cute little chair is called @ 4:24 min!?
It is the Levi Rocker by Charlie Crane! You can find it here:

Thank you so much! 💕 I appreciate you! Will be praying 🙏
What color are eyes you got a beautiful family? God bless you and have a blessed.
Ohhmg. I love your nose pin.. ❤
I love you and your Bady
I also struggled immensely with my son when he was a few months old in terms of sleeping. I eventually had to sleep train him because i was spending 5 hours every evening trying to relax him and then he would cry as soon as i put him into his crib. This was in addition to the hours i spent every day trting to get him down for a nap. He wouldn't sleep in a wrap, he wanted to be laying down in my arms. It was not sustainable. Anyways he is almost 2 now and a wonderful sleeper!!! It was hard but definitely worth it
Nice vlog :)

Fast or forceful letdown when breastfeeding can make a baby fussy or gassy
I had a very gassy colicky baby and in hind sight I wish I would have cut out diary and soy.
Eu te amo .
