A few years ago, one of my international beer buddies was having a wedding in Georgia, and I was invited, but just before I bought my ticket, they eloped. Darn it! It looks beautiful, and old world combination of European and a bit Asian like Turkey. The climate seems similar to California. My beer buddy is a white dude from England, but his bestie, both chefs was an African-Brit. They both loved it there, and told me I’d have my pick of men who would be interested. Not fully sure what that would mean, but it’s definitely on my long list of places I’d like to visit.

Videos like these are hit or miss. I just spent a month in South Africa finishing my dissertation and the internet was absolutely fine. The rand is also 15/1 with the dollar so your money will go much farther than some of the countries she mentioned. My sister and I also spent time in China (Beijing and Shanghai) and had no issues (racial, cultural, nor social). I'm not saying her opinion isn't valid but please do your own research. I'd hate for folks to write off places because of one opinion.
Yes to doing the research and gathering the facts for yourself. I was in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban for 2 months in 2016. I have heard that the internet is better in Joburg now, but it was terrible then and very expensive.
