Stephanie! It was love at 1st sight when I came across your gorgeous face and videos some months ago and subscribed immediately. But I soon realized I am not your target audience cause I am African living in Europe. To be specific South African. You seem to be anti Africa. What is the difference between retiring in Ghana vs Jamaica? It all about demand vs supply, basic economics. Ghana is getting expensive because of the high influx of African Americans not because Ghana is bad. It doesn't matter where you retire, you have to have a long term financial plan and how you will earn a living. I don't know any black retirees who are digital Nomads or housesitters. Those careers are associated with younger people, at least under 60. I feel you are dictating to people to move to your favorite places. You sound prejudice based on very limited research. Your personal experience and chatting to one African American in Africa who didn't do proper research before they moved and had no financial plan doesn't mean the experience will be the same for everyone:-(
I have an agenda. I want peace of mind for Black women that cannot be found in the US. I have a bias toward ease, and that puts some places higher on my list than others. I'm very clear on what my criteria are. And I'm clear that these are MY priorities. The Black women who watch my videos determine their own priorities. You may not know this, but there are LOUD voices that say that African American women MUST move to W. Africa ONLY. (Men are free to pick a country based on who has the most beautiful women, but Black women must go places to BUILD THE ECONOMY.) I can't stand this. I make videos because I want us to determine our own priorities and exercise our options. I didn't say that Ghana was bad. I said that African American women who move to Ghana have a pattern of starting businesses / going back to work. And I prefer to choose places that allow me to work less. I've interviewed Ashley about Tanzania, Halona who moved to Rwanda, Kenna in South Africa , NikkiFaye in Kenya etc. They give their own perspectives. You've watched this video that was me only. But when you watch those interviews, you see that these women speak clearly and freely on their experiences in these countries. Sometimes I'm corrected. Sometimes I'm right. 😆 Black nomadic retirees are on the rise. And I want to make it even easier for people to do that. Enjoy some freedom before getting tied down to another home and more responsibilities. Put the US passport to use. See the world. I'm not a dictator. But I am encouraging a new way of thinking about where you live and why. I appreciate your reflection on my video. I always list South Africa as one of my favorite countries I've visited. (Countries Where Black Travelers Feel Welcome video) I hope you're enjoying living abroad.

I'm a black woman and I moved to Costa Rica I've been here a year now. I can finally THRIVE, heal and support my own business and live off my land without the toxicity, racism and darkness of the United States. I am blessed and honored to have been able to make the move. I don't plan to ever move back to the United States. I am not an expat. I did however, have a remote job from the states that has now ended. It is pushing me to get my business up and running and to start my farm which I'm already harvesting and growing. It's refreshing the people and the culture are beautiful and my rent is only $300 it used to be $200 but I upgraded LOL. God Bless

@@margaretw5848 ...Aww, thank you Margaret. I needed to 'hear' that. It's just that I suffer from Type 2 Diabetes so I am currently working hard on that anyway. Thanks so much again ❤️
You can reverse type 2 diabetes. I was able to do that . Stress is something that increases cortisol and that contributes to insulin resistance. Try a 21 day vacation in another country. While there eat fresh unprocessed foods, and walk around. I can almost guarantee you will see your blood glucose levels decrease and normalize. I wish you the best on your health journey. 💙
I’m finding that Nairobi, Kenya is the hidden treasure that most people don’t think about. It’s very clean, with amenities, and nice housing. Even the people from Ghana are impressed.
We have a small yet growing community here in Istanbul, Turkey. We will be hosting our 3rd annual Juneteenth Jazz Brunch. Turkey is a great option for Black women. I've lived her for 2.5 years with my daughter and bought property here as well.
This is so great to hear! I’m currently visiting Istanbul for the second time and I have been seriously considering moving here. I feel so much safer and less stressed here than in the U.S and Turkish people have been so humble and pleasant to be amongst.
Thanks for chiming in about Turkey sis. I was slated to do temporary duty there when I was in the Air Force. The assignment was cancelled. I had been so excited about going having done my research and all. I’ll revisit because of your comment. ❤
I met a black woman several years ago, who stated it was her dream to move to Mexico. She took the plunge and said she enjoys living there. And, she stated the people are good to black people.
I’m not Black but I felt that this would be a good video for me since I also want to live in a place treats Black people well. That would be a good sign that the locals have a good heart. Also I love going out dancing, so I’ve always had the most fun in American cities where the highest numbers of our most rhythmically blessed people live 💜
Are you serious with this? And who were the 64 people who liked this disgusting comment. You might as well have said, " I want to move to a place that has fat people who are treated well because I know the place has good food. Like wtf?
I understand this sentiment. I do similar research when determining where to travel or retire, because I am the mother of black children, and I don't want to live anywhere that my family would not feel comfortable or welcome.
I was so waiting for you to mention Costa Rica. I was born and raised in Costa Rica, however live in DC now due to work/family life. My mother and some of my siblings still live there. It’s a treasure to be able to go back to my homeland. Pura Vida!!! Also, a couple towns in Costa Rica where there is a large black expat community is in Puerto Viejo and Cahuita. There is definitely a community vibe there with a large Jamaican/tico influence.
I’m looking forward to visiting Costa Rica for the first time this year! I’m so grateful for Stephanie and this community of brilliant and brave black women. Hoping to make more connections while I’m there. 🧡
My sister, your calm, quiet confidence makes me want to move to the house next door - wherever you are. Thank you for caring for us. I'm sure I speak on behalf of the sisterhood when I say: Thank you!
I swear you and a few other ladies have inspired me to get out of here. I have booked and paid for a trip to Mexico City for June & I am doing my best to prepare myself to expatriate forever. I even signed up for Spanish lessons! Oh my poor old brain.
Been living in Lisbon for the past 1.5 years and I feel more at home here than I did in the states. I absolutely love it and I feel so at peace here. 💜
@Fearless Vixen Life. Very excited to hear your personal account of Lisbon. I am one of those who plans to retire abroad - 3 more years and Lisbon is on my shortlist.
That's so cool. Do you mind sharing where to find other black expats in Lisbon? I was in Lisbon for 6 months in 2019 and plan to return this year but I could not find black expats that had moved there to stay
I never thought I would have the guts to move abroad until I came across your channel about 2 years ago. This year I finally did it! I moved to the UAE and love it! I chose UAE partly cuz of what I do, and I always stopping here when traveling to East Africa. Since I've been living here, I realize that the US has such a broken system. Anyway, Thanks again for all of your work and showing us that we can break up for good with the US 😊!
Correction Stephanie, yes, Jamaica is the most fun place in the Caribbean. The island is very diverse and a mecca for not just nightlife, but music, literature, sports, great festivals for everything, including great food, and natural scenery. However, Jamaica is one of the most expensive places in the Caribbean and crime is a problem too.
Glad the crime was mentioned. Jamaica has the highest murder rate per capita IN THE WORLD. Disneyland is not the USA, and Montego Bay resorts are NOT Jamaica. Chris Rock did NOT exaggerate in his take on Jamaica. Grass might LOOK greener in a lot of places. I would not wanna be in my prime, moving to Jamaica, and THEN find out it's 90% 3rd world.
Would you please tell me how you moved from hometown to Egypt?. Never been out the United States and would like to know what to do. Please excuse me but how old are you. Am 65 and wanting a better life. Thank you.
The "do you feel safe part?" I ask to people all the time when I say I want to leave. I am getting me and my son ready. He is only 2.5 now but I do plan on at least trying out a few countries starting 2024. Also, Lisbon is on my list for top country to move to.
I am scouting out Portugal in July for 3 weeks. My college dorm roommate loves there currently in Porto and LOVES it. I will be meeting up with her to get the info about her life right now. She moved with her daughter and husband (now ex) and is living her best life. 😍

Born in Luanda (capital of Angola - african country), but moved to Portugal when I was 3… lived in Lisbon until I was 35, and for the last 5 years, I’m living Luanda. Also had the chance to travel a lot and get to know a lot of different countries. From all of them, Lisbon - Portugal, (even with a lot of issues, because nothing is Perfect), is my favourite place everrrrr. I feel welcome, safe, the city is beautiful, food is great, people are kind (mostly), cultural diverse, but still simple living and good values. Hope by the end of next year, I’ll be moving back there! 🤞🏾
Hi there👋🏾Been thinking about visiting Lisbon for a while to see if I want to stay for a while. Are there other cities in Portugal you would recommend checking out as well?
Lisabon is nice I ve heard …I live in Florida now but I am thinking to move to Zportugal or Spain next year …I love the food and the People in Europe I feel at home there since I was horned in that continent ….so how is Life in Ghana I have never been there .

Black people are moving to Africa. Many are in Ghana, Gambia, Tanzania, Kenya etc. Salvador Brazil is another place that I love. I live in Italy, I married an Italian. We are building a family compound in Ghana for ourselves and the rest of my family left in America and Puerto Rico. America is just awful.
Ok Medellín! This is my favorite on the list. The Black community there is super supportive and full of great resources. Food in Medellín is simple and good - like what you might cook at home on a work night 😂 BUT the food is a lot less expensive than other places. There are high end, impressive, restaurants in the Provenza neighborhood with flavor that can rival the best in Mexico City or New York. The City of Eternal Spring is waiting for you 🤗
Honestly, that’s what I thought too lol. I heard about the food problem but it felt more comfortable to me than the endless options in Mexico City. I’ll never complain about rice, meat, beans, and plantain 😆 also it was easier to order without asking if every little thing was spicy!
Thank you so much. Im 24 and my HS & college graduation years have either been ruined by a fellow student being a victim to gun violence or the pandemic. Suffering from burn out for an entire 2 years, I’ve finally come to the realization that I need to leave this country (where I’m a target for absolutely no reason🇺🇸) to LIVE !!
I’m so thrilled to see so many Black women seeing the possibilités and choosing themselves and loving life to the fullest. I repatriated to the US 7 years ago and I’m now actively making plans for my divorce from ‘Murica.
The One good thing about moving to Africa is you do not have to worry about how you are going to be treated because of the color of your skin black. I am African American descendant from Africa and my plan is to move back home no matter how far it is. I'm tired of seeing everyone else being in the majority and excelling.
@TheYoungQueen Plus many Africans are among the biggest bigots towards African Americans. They mistreat and discriminate African Americans in the USA, and sometimes on the continent too. I'd rather go to Costa Rica
Please be careful in Medellin, Colombia. I was robbed of my phone my first night there a few months ago. Its dangerous.. Even the cab driver was warning me while driving me from the airport to my hostel. Even a lady who I was sitting next to me on the plane was warning me and the other passenger about Colombia. Please be careful of Even the tourist areas.
Me and my daughter live in Florida and we will start traveling the world next year. I am Sooooo tired of being in the United States. I was never interested in going to Portugal but after watching this video I’m adding it on my list of places to go to
I keep telling myself, in 10 years I want to retire and do not want to stay in NY where I am based. Hello to all of my fellow black queens😄. I enjoy reading all of the various perspectives of black travel experiences. However, I salute our black people wherever we are from. The U.S. is where we were born but it's not our origin. We are constantly reminded of that through the deliberate behavior of others. This is why I appreciate platforms such as this one. Thank you sis for starting such an informative and enlightening channel❤️.
I agree, Lisbon is fabulous. I fell in love with their traditional Fado music. Lisbon is a real contender for my permanent retirement albeit I am over 65 years old.
Yep far bigger than the countries deliberately not mentioned. About a million strong . Many single women are moving there to de-traumatise and setting up businesses.

Thank you. When I was in the military I felt so great overseas I did not feel the negativity or racism at all not even when I lived in Ireleand or Austrailia absolutely LOVED those places.
I love Accra, Ghana. I was there for 13 days. My American dollar was powerful compared to the Ghana Cidi. I could purchase an apartment for 2 years on 1 month of my pension. There's something I'm missing if someone have to work in addition to receiving retirement income because they moved to Ghana. You just don't get un-retired and go back to work. Not this retired government sister. Now, if you acquire a family while you're there.... uh, yeah.... you might have to get mo-money🤣
I don’t think expat life is working because they are struggling to make a living in Ghana. I see what they’re doing more as a hobby than work, I watch their videos a lot. They would have to explain it themselves I might be wrong.
As an Afroeuropean, my dream would be Panama. That's my first retirement destination on my list. Everything about that country fits my dreams perfectly. The Afropanamians to interact with, the weather, the beaches, the healthcare and the tropical environment. The vegetation is just 100% what I love about the place. I also got brothers n' sisters from Europe, Africa and The US who are planning to retire there as well. I have travelled to multiple countries around the globe but Panama was the nation I felt a super connection and love for.
Have you travel the islands? I asked because if Panamá is so much better then I definitely will consider. I will say I don’t see that many Panamanian in the USA , maybe they are doing better than DR, PR, Jamaica, Trinidad, Salvador, Mexico, Nicaragua, etc. just your thought since You travel many places, and have Families everywhere.
Hi Stephanie! 😃 I just want to say that you look absolutely naturally black and beautiful. Your skin, your hair, etc. reflects both your inner and outer beauty. When I watch your videos, I can see the 'light of life' in your eyes. This means that the Inner Light of Blessings is in-dwelt within your heart. 😃 Thank you for all that you do, and being a great example of a 'Natural Love of Black-African Origin Self" and Black Womanhood for the whole of the black community. 🙏 I cannot thank you enough for this. 🙏 Peace & Blessings Unto You.🙏
I went to Mexico in 2001, and yes, the smog was so intense that my entire face was covered in soot. I coun't stay for that reason. I just decided to revisit this year, thanks to you Stephanie!
I lived in Mexico City last year and traveled around. Never saw or felt soot. Then again this is 21 yrs later. They are so green now that those plants are really boosting air quality. NOw that altitude is something that took me a couple of weeks to get used to.
Hello Ms. Stephanie! I am new to your channel. Your channel caught my eye a little while back because I am a black woman who is tired of getting caught up in the rat race here in the US and I feel like I'm just working to pay bills, ugh.😩I've never been outside of the US. That's so awesome that you've been doing this for so long! Do you have a UA-cam channel or is there a place where you share your experiences? Traveling yields so many good stories. I know you have a ton!

I was listening and was thinking “no Costa Rica” and you didn’t disappoint! Omg I went once and just loved it, but definitely want to try some of the other places in this list as well.
Not sure about a Black community in Viet Nam, but I loved it. In fact, I loved staying in Thailand, Cambodia, China too. People were friendly. Yes in China they stared, but that didn't bother me. The biggest issue in China on the subway was the constant smell of cilantro. Most people in the world are good, friendly and decent. They are trying to do the same things we are, raising families and surviving. You will run into a-holes everywhere ( we have a ton in the US), but overall people will try and help you. Never had a problem unless someone was trying to overcharge me. You have to research these places before you go, but just GO! I travelled through Asia alone. My sister was my travel buddy through Europe, but declined Asia. I had a wonderful time. Met people from all over the world. I found that most spoke English in addition to their own language. I always learned some of the language of the country I visited even if it was just "Where is", "Hello", "Thank You" and "How much". Learn the culture and follow their rules, I have a story or two about White women freaking out because they wanted to go into temples in daisy dukes and spaghetti straps. Thank you Stephanie.

Remember that some of us move to African and black countries not just for ease of life but because we share a passion to be a part of the progress taking place there for black people. These countries were deliberately undermined, exploited, and underdeveloped so that some of the countries you mention could have “ease of life”. I support your channel as an black woman expat myself and more power to you. Stephanie...white, retired, US expat here....David...now living in Manizales, Colombia...about 5 hrs south of Medellin. Your contacts in Colombia regarding 'food' is spot on. I've previously lived in various states of Mexico and also Cosa Rica. I love Colombia...been here almost 2 yrs now, but the food is SO disappointing. Flavors are very bland, variety of Colombian dishes lack spice, anything a little spicy,(picante), and variety is very limited. You can't beat the cost of living here, the climate in the Andes is the best I've ever lived in, Colombian people...by far the nicest, most helpful, gorgeous women and men. I spent a few months in Medellin on arrival in Colombia..yes, most expats live there, but it's way too big, very congested, somewhat smoggy(cause it's in a huge valley) more expensive than many other Colombia cities, but offers the closest US style lifestyle with modern malls, US based eateries, upscale this and that. Many people love Medellin, but having lived in very large cities in my past, I'm more like you in that I prefer a easy and comfortable lifestyle which is very inviting and can be found in many other cities and towns in Colombia. Good luck Stephanie....I enjoy your videos very much.

I live in Villanueva about 45 mins outside San Pedro Sula. I would love to connect along our journey. We have not narrowed down a country.
Theirs also a large African American community in Dimona, Israel. The population is numbered around 5,000. 🇮🇱 I’ve actually heard that it is the number 1 largest AA community outside of America. Can you look into this?
I am 62 years old and I want to go somewhere out the US to live permanently, but unfortunately these countries will not give you residency unless you get a certain amount of retirement money from the US and my retirement funds does not match what they're asking. I've been to 2 different countries in Africa and I don't trust the locals at all. My friend went to Gambia and the locals did a house invasion and took EVERYTHING she owned. They took the damn bars off the window to get in while she was there.
Just go. Go visit, learn the lay of the land and slowly integrate plus you may just meet people and/or a romantic partner that can support you with your dreams and help you get a leg up..
sorry that happened to your friend, but Gambia is still a peaceful place where lots of expats live with no issues and even have business there and purchase land. If that home invasion had happened in the US that is a high possibility of her losing her life as well, because a lot of home invasion in the us ends up with the victim being murdered. Hi Stephanie, I’ve been in Ghana eight months and haven’t and I Am having an awesome experience. I’m interested in starting a small business with some help of some guardians who have known since I’ve been here very reliable. I’m a retired teacher, and I’m also retired from the military so everything is pretty easy for me hear the people are wonderful again I’ll be keeping up with you. Continue putting the word out some people can experience something wonderful in their lives.
I am from ghana 🇬🇭. there are many AAs living here or coming every december. december in ghana is like black hub with black people from all over the world come to enjoy, unite and connect. steve harvey, cardi b and other known american celebrities have been here .
I visited Merida, Mexico for a week several years back and really liked it. I even ran into another black woman there who said she had just moved down there and wanted to know where I got my hair products. I told her I was just vacationing. I rode the bus a few times and had fun. I'm glad I went because It really shifted my perspective of Mexico. I used to think it was incredibly dangerous and completely run by cartels and that women were going missing/being murdered left and right. But that's the danger of the single story. The only scary experience I had in (Merida)Mexico was saying hello to a man on the street who turned out to be very drunk and followed us back to the hotel. I was with a group of people including men so he just followed us and said stuff in Spanish that I didn't understand. I'm really intrigued by Costa Rica. I'm from Philly and I don't feel safe. In fact I rarely go out after dark unless I'm going to work. Every time I express wanting to leave America I hear one of two things. What about your parents? or You could move somewhere much worse. I lived in (Norwich) England briefly and I'd never felt more safe. It was supposed to be for a semester but covid hit. My plan has always been to leave Philly, than the state and then the country. Aside from the food and most of my family being in here I hate everything about Philly. But I'm living paycheck to paycheck so unless I get a good job to save I won't be going anywhere.
My suggestion is for you to take language lessons while you are mentally preparing to move to a non-English speaking country. You don’t have to be proficient but even if you struggle with grammar and vocabulary, people very much appreciate that you are trying to embrace their language. For an English speaker, Spanish is relatively easy to learn because of the consistency of pronunciation. French spelling is unrelated to the pronunciation of many words. Asian languages are difficult because they are tonal, that is emphasis on a certain syllable can completely change the meaning of the word. If you want to speak English you will like going to Jamaica.
Do it , get out as fast as you can. dont ever let fear or other people's opinion or problems get in your way. Usually they have no idea about the path you need to take for your life. Believe me I know, been there done that it never turns out well. You are being guided to your destiny. You at least have to give it a chance. Go girl GO!!!
South Africa as you said Stephanie and Rwanda is booming more every month in these UA-cam streams and street's. Because of the cleaning of the community and accepting women as a nomad and locals
south africa is actually a crap country amd it is deteriorating because of the corrupt anc government, high crime rate, still stuck in the past because aparthied ended recently in the mid 1990s, conservatism and misogyny is very rampant here as well. Anti-lgbt, anti-leftism, economic inequality, the most unequal country in the world, unfriendly amd stuck up people, unattractive subpar men, GBV, electricity crisis. Racism in the country as well as a very high cost of living. i live in south africa and this is my experience living here. do not recommend
Definitely will be making a future that includes Jamaica. I know people are concerned about the safety, but it is really an upcoming country. The infrastructure is rapidly expanding, and as NYC resident, I do not feel much safer. Not only do I feel the looming threats of another school shooting, but the trains I have to take everyday are met with very saddening poverty and random harassment. The last time I went to Jamaica was a couple years ago when I was in middle school, we visited my family who lives in the ghetto and spent the entire day with them. They have never been attacked and actually prefer to stay there. I want to be around people I relate to and who look like me!! (And I also loveeee the nature and not being locked up in the house all the time.)
Stephanie, thank you, as always, for sharing your perspectives. I do enjoy your channel and with this list, I've prioritized those cities I'd like to visit (Lisbon, Panama City, Mexico City & Playa Del Carmen. I've already been to Costa Rica and Jamaica. One thing I would have loved to see included in the video is the cost of healthcare in each of these cities. Is healthcare inexpensive (relative to the US), accessible and would your list have changed if the cost of healthcare was added to the equation?. Interested to know your thoughts on this. Thank you again for the valuable content. God Bless!
Thank you Stephanie! My now deceased grandfather is from Panama and this has encouraged me to visit now. Also, I live in a diverse city that has alot of Mexicans whom I adore! And had a great time the 1 visit to Carmen de Playa, so I will definitely be returning to consider a future home to live.
Great point. Look at GoBlackToAfrica here. He has a video of a couple that did it. And the wife's parents were from there. Too much bribery and lying was big on her list. I listened to her. She made great points and did her research before going. Them africans were mad.
Africa is a tough place if you aren't born and raised there or have inside connections. 90% of the expats are simply not ready even though they do their research, unfortunately. My dad is born and raised in Nigerian and HE won't even go back lol
My daughter and I wanted to move to Ghana. She actually moved there for 8 months and left. As well, I have visited there for long periods of time over the last 3 years and as much as I LOVE being in an all Black country the extortion is REAL! And everywhere. There is no interest or understanding of customer service. Folks in the country seem to be nicer and less likely to try and scam you but even making friends is hard, especially in Accra, because Ghanains only see us as American's with money that they need to get something from. I mean almost all people you meet are sizing you up and trying to figure out how to get your money. Now, I want to spend my money in Black communities so I didn't have a problem at first but it got to be too much. Even those folks who you choose to support in any way financially seem to eventually feel like they need more and will continue to ask or try to get more from you. It also feels like they resent that we have money as Black people, so it's really confusing emotionally, especially since it was our ancestor who were stolen and we had to fight our way to get back "home". It seems to me that "welcome back home to Ghana" is really a marketing ploy! They are not ready to recieve us truly, just to get our money. I plan to say more about my travels in Ghana on here soon. But Black American Elders are also leaving here because it's also doesn't have good infrastructure for elder care. Streets are horrible, healthcare is high and hard to find and transportation is very challenging.
But also there are larger political issues that feed into all of this, of course. Most Ghanaians don't know the story of Black's in america which is also very troubling. So there are a LOT of assumptions about who we are and our situation in the States.
love your channel, I just came back to visit the US, and I live have been living in Uganda for 2.5 years. Before that I lived in South Africa for more than a year. Keep doing what you doing
I’m a white male. Late 50s. I’m moving to Portugal. Part of my desire to leave is how minorities and non straight people are treated. I look forward to departing.
Black nomadic retirees are on the rise.

Yeah I've heard that Colombia is really dangerous, mostly because of all the cartels.

I keep telling myself, in 10 years I want to retire and do not want to stay in NY where I am based. I often state I want a place where there is a good health benefits system, the retirement dollar goes a long way and a place that embraces the black culture as one of its own. This morning I stumbled upon your channel, have subscribed and looking forward to watching all of the videos I missed. With pen and paper in hand, I am ready, sign me up! 😀🤗

Hi Stephanie. I just LOVE your channel, watching your content always brighten my day. GAMBIA is a country where many black expats/repats are thriving. Many black Americans are opening their own businesses without any hassle, red tape, or struggle.
Blessings and 💕 to all the AA that have moved to the Gambia.i wish them peace as they develop the country.rarely can a black American find peace in Europe except being tokenised!

I absolutely love your channel! I enjoy listening to different perspectives on interesting topics. My Brain thrives on new ideas. ❤❤❤❤❤
Stephanie, your face just lights up when you talk about this subject. I just love that you are sharing your joy. I have been seeing a lot of black Americans moving to Merida Mexico and of all ages and all areas of Merida. It’s close to the coast and even though it’s humid I see what you are describing. Black people feeling like they can thrive and live with peace of mind and allow their families to feel safer. ❤️🇲🇽
Hey Stephanie, I am hearing that we having growing African American Expat communities in Kigali, Rwanda and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania 🌍
Yep far bigger than the countries deliberately not mentioned. About a million strong . Many single women are moving there to de-traumatise and setting up businesses.

Another excellent video Stephanie! I figured my city would make the cut, Playa Del Carmen. Our community is growing daily! 🌊🏖
It sure is, Toni! ✨ ✨

I will say I don’t see that many Panamanian in the USA , maybe they are doing better than DR, PR, Jamaica, Trinidad, Salvador, Mexico, Nicaragua, etc. just your thought since
You travel many places, and have

There are lots of Panamanians in Brooklyn, NY.

Hello Ms. Stephanie! I am new to your channel. Your channel caught my eye a little while back because I am a black woman who is tired of getting caught up in the rat race here in the US and I feel like I'm just working to pay bills, ugh.😩I've never been outside of the US. Last year I had won a trip to the Bahamas 🇧🇸 for 2, but have come to the realization that my finances are limited. But I had been interested in looking into having position to make money from home, online/remote for a while now. Tried with some investments but that did not work out, unfortunately.
Were you working in China ?
@@bk4of4 No. I initially went to see the Terracotta Warriors. I spent a month traveling throughout to see all the things there were to see while I was over there. From Hong Kong to Naning.
I LOVE SE Asia! Solo visits to Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Cambodia and enjoyed each place. Met wonderful people in the community and had an amazing time! Spent several weeks in each country and got a feel of the place. Indonesia is my heart and soul and wanted to move there but then COVID-19 restrictions. Still considering it along with Thailand or Portugal. And I agree about researching the culture and customs while learning the language. I swear, wearing DDs at a temple?! I saw plenty of that in my travels and I was soooo annoyed. 😒🙄

As someone who has been to a fair bit of countries on the list, I concur completely with what you’ve shared, just including an additional consideration.
The women on this channel are NOT moving anywhere to help build anything.

What is the minimum amount they request. It seems to me, if you can support yourself, that's is all you need.

I mean i am an immigrant from the Caribbean who lives in NY and so far this year countless amount of immigrants from Africa and the Caribbean have been murdered in these NY streets, and that still won't stop people from moving to there.

Racism in the country as well as a very high cost of living. i live in south africa and this is my experience living here. do not recommend
Thank you so much for speaking these truths and sharing this important knowledge!
Agree about Costa Rica! I've been twice. I know a couple that moved there. They love it. ❤
Perhaps we should mention this: A considerable number of expats to Ghana seem to end up moving back to the States. And I have no idea why.
