Good evening, Stephanie, Yvette, and the community✋🏾! I was out for a walk here in Blighty UK, listening to this discussion on a different UA-cam account, and I was truly blown away by the topic. I’d never heard of the Scrum Master role before, and it sounds fascinating! After working as a social worker for over five years, I’ve been feeling burnt out, especially as a locum worker. I left my locum role over two years ago and now I often find myself wondering what my next step will be in the next phase of my career. This Scrum Master opportunity really caught my attention! I want to earn a living, but not in a traditional 9-to-5 job that drains my energy with unnecessary politics. I’m looking for the freedom to be my own boss and take control of my life and career. I’ll be replaying this and taking notes to explore the resources shared. It was so refreshing to hear from Yvette that age and the lack of a formal PM qualification aren’t obstacles to getting started in this field. Bravo to that! Really love this discussion so eye opening. More like this for a newbie like me🙂! Stephanie you always have great speakers on your channel - and why I always come back to your channel🙏🏾🙏🏾💕💕.

I have worked in Pharmacy IT as a pharmacy tech and IT help desk as well as teaching prek-12 and scrum have been doing this work for years for free. I'm a certified life coach now. This feels like the best use of my skills. Thank you ladies, and God bless! ❤️🙏🏾
Thank you, thank you both for making this information available to ordinarily people. There is hope!
Angela, yes there is hope. Thanks for watching.
Sounds fabulous! Have to be willing to be vulnerable especially if you don’t know the particular project/job.
I'm currently PM adjacent and was considering the PMP, but this sounds like a great thing to add to my skillset as well. I'd heard about it but had no idea what it entailed. Thank you both!
Hello. This would be a great add to your skillset. Also, consider adding the Product Owner cert as well.
Great info- I know someone who lost who her well well paying job - took some time to certify and picked up a mid 6 figure for this - it is true
Excellent discussion. I’m a PM and never thought the CSM would be very valuable for me. But now I’m going to get it. Followed Vett’s channel.
I just love Stephanie. She is a natural BOSS!!!
Hello from the future 🎉sending universal love all the way around
I’m on it!!!!
YES!! Thanks for watching
Wow, this was such an eye-opener! I had no idea what a Scrum Master was, but now I definitely want to get certified! Thanks so much for always sharing helpful information that enlightens and empowers Black women!
💯 those prerequisites for a scrum master.... I think I could thrive in this field.
I'm going for this certification. I have over 15 years of Customer service and I worked in Technical Support. Thanks for sharing. 👍🏼🎄
I have a bachelor's degree in Business Computer Info Systems, MBA in management and currently teaching computer science in high school. This job is made for me!
Thank you for bringing this to our attention Stephanie! Yvette gave a supremely thorough explanation! All that we need is truly in the E.S.! What great timing!! 🎉On the newsletter, Vette’s YT, looking for the IG now! Both of you are super sweet in real life. Thanks Yvette & Steph! 🫶🏽🤗
Hello and thanks for watching. I appreciate your kind words.
Dropping gems throughout this entire session! ❤❤
Thank you so much
I just downloaded the Negotiation Cheat Sheet and signed up for email. I had just got home and was going to nap but GOD had me turn on my television in my bedroom and I had missed the first 45 minutes but am currently looking at this from the beginning - I'm awake now!!! I am currently going to ICAgile for Product Owner but also will be preparing to test for Scrum Master too. I would love to get coached and learn more.
I'm so glad you caught this Angela! 💗
This was excellent. I have considered pursuing Scrum Master in the past so this was a great overview. Loved her focus on the soft skills.
Hello. Thanks for watching. I hope you do consider getting the Scum Master cert.
This was the best explanation of SCRUM out here… for us especially ❤
Catching the replay, I hope the Bootcamp is offered again. This is one of the best videos. I walked away feeling like I heard life changing information.
Hello everyone from the future 🌸 this sounds like something right up my alley! Thank you!
Hello. Thanks for watching. This might be the opportunity you needed.
Wow love this!! I’ve been a pharmacy tech for 17 years never thought of this or even heard of this. Thank you ladies for this content 🎉
What a brilliant guest! Big ups to you both.
Great motivation for the new year. Love it
I am a Black woman veteran!!!! This information is so appreciated and needed❤.
Saluting you Queen @chilove9955. I'm still on AD, retiring in 2 years. Navy O5. Thanks for your service. ❤
A Scrum Master is a coach to a team of people that do the work on a project/development team. Scrum Masters encourages the team and its members to get the work done and work through their obstacles that might crop up.
This is so awesome, and the gifting for a woman vet just took it to another level.
This was so insightful… I’m finishing up my B.S Business Administration degree and was looking for the right certification into a 6 figure tech position. I thought Business Analyst was it. But I’m definitely leaning towards the CSM.
Excellent Session! Thank you both!❤
I love what yiu all are doing here, I am hopeful!!! Need y'all for real in my circle.
This information was very helpful. I learned about SCRUM 2-3 years ago but didn't have a good understanding of what SCRUM Masters actually do. By listening to this video all of my questions were answered.
I have definitely been multiple times a SCRUM MASTER OFTEN
LIstening to this was incredibly eye-opening! As a clinical psychologist, it appears I have been a scrum master my whole career! lol... I am getting this cert and I will figure out the rest later
I am glad I was able to shed light on other options. Yes, you have. Get certified and it will prepare you for the possibilities of new opportunities. Thanks for watching.
@@TheVettJettShow I am taking the class this weekend!! I'm on my waaaaay! I appreciate all you shared and I'm subscribed to your channel now, too!
Same here!
Thanking God for stumbling across you and this information. Thank you
Hello and thanks for watching. I am so glad you found out about this resource.
Good eveing. Yes, i am about to get certified as a Scrum Master 🙌🏿
Oh, that is so great. Good luck. Let me know if you have questions.
@@TheVettJettShowwhat exactly does the scrum master do?
This is great information! I registered for the PMP but would love to start with SCRUM to get my feet wet. This information was so helpful!
Update: Because of this information, I am now CSM Certified. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Starting at minute 56:31 What a blessing you 2 ladies are!! Now that’s truly paying it forward ❤❤❤❤
This video is such a hopefully blessing to me… I’m a student but I do this in 2-3 days 🤯 I’m am looking for a class right now -Thank you ladies❤
Hooah! Loved this, and my military mind understood her delivery perfectly. 😊
Stephanie Perry is correct about the titles….I’m a natural scrum master
I just stepped a cybersecurity course, bevause I thought scrum was like PM. Initially I wanted to do scrum, but wow, I didn't know it was so easy, yet lucrative! Thank you beloveds!❤
Thank you for this valuable information ❤️ I’m a certified scrum master and product owner. I appreciate the dialogue, interview tips, and recommended resources. Blessings to us all in 2025. 🙏🏽❤️⭐️
Thank you for sharing such wonderful information.
Many places in south Florida are paying for CSM class and certification for people. Look into the Urban league of Broward County, Broward College has Broward UP, and Career Source Broward. Look for it based on your county or in general. God bless you ❤
Thank you for this!!! I just requested approval for my company to sponsor my certification. Unfortunately, your bundle is outaside of my budget right now, but will be following!! ❤
Listen ladies this is a level up for me, I have been a scrum master. Ty!! I'm going for this! ❤💯
As long as you are under 50. There is a lot of age discrimination in that field and I speak from experience.
Agreed!👍
We don't have that age discrimination in the UK, luckily. I am a senior software tester and I am 59 years old. I will be considering the scrum master
Many Blessings! This is the information I wanted to how can I give value to teams, especially ones that lack leadership and people skills. I am TAKING NOTES!
I 1000% have been underestimating my skills and that comment about women having to be humble. I totally agree with men doing the same positions that I’ve been doing. I know I’ve been getting paid more than I have and I’ve been doing the work and training people and not getting paid And I work in the insurance industry
This was so helpful! For the longest time, I thought I was interested in project management, but I am actually more interested in scrum! I even started a PM course... Thank you so much for this episode, ladies.
I should have done the PM, 8 yrs ago before they made the test even harder. I love learning about the Scrum Master
I should have done Scum Master 3 yrs ago but it sounded very technical
I do this for a living ....I also have a Release Train Engineer, and a safe Practice consultant
do you find jobs are pretty available for these positions for folks with some tech background that just has a Scrum certification?
@@FindYourFreethey are there but it can be competitive.
I love a good RTE. They can make things run so smoothly. Thanks for watching
Ive worked in IT for over 20 yrs. Got my PSM I certification 2 yrs ago.
I'm preparing to take the PMP. I'm excited about it! 😁
I have been trying to figure out what a scrum master is…thanks for explaining !
I love this for Black women!!
Hi, I'm happy to be here ,seeing two beautiful women trying to empower others with new skills, which have been in them but don't know what to do with. God bless you, beautiful❤ I am in!
You both are great woman
Ladies, you all are on it.
I love her, she’s so composed. Thanks Stephanie I ❤u
