I like how lionbricks is building a smaller lego city than usual so that everybody can take inspiration from it. He just proves that a small city can look spectacular.
Well Great Britain’s national animal is a lion and he’s from the uk and the uk did once rule a quarter of the world so calling him the lord makes sense
For the younger of you: 35 years ago, Lego had a railway system with remotely controlled gates, signals and switches. And trains with lights. Can you imagine that?
I actually have a bunch of sets from that line. I'm not old enough to have those from my childhood, just a nerd who really likes classic lego for some reason. Although I have to say that I was quite let down when I finnaly got my first sets. The trains really don't run very well, they constantly lose connection with the power line in the middle. Even tried cleaning them with alcohol. Maybe they ran better when they were new. Although I still wish lego would add some more electronic parts to their lego system, so that we finnally can have proper functioning signals and crossings!
The modern black railroad cross ties are recycled plastic. They are estimated to have a life span of 50 years each and are made from plastic recovered from landfills and recycling centers.
@@christophernewman8741 not too sure but I think wooden ties may have a longer service life then (the railroad in my area is a freight railroad and as far as I know the ties are there for a LONG time before being replaced
There is something so satisfactory in building with tiles and slopes removing any studs from your build. It could be anything from a random wall to a gigantic building, I could spend hours doing this in a zen like state.
You put so much effort into realism and just your builds in general I always look forward to new updates because these videos make me want to become a better builder. Thanks heaps, see you in the next one!
This is way better than all the try not to get satisfied videos! Your voice, the background music, and of course the act of building the city! Probs to you!
Man I've been watching since the old city and OMG I love the new editing and building style, it just shows how much you've improved over the past few years.
This appeared in my recommendations so I clicked it and found new ways and neat tricks to make the road seem “alive” and seeing how good you can make the railroad is just incredible so I had to subscribe to see how the city develops
I’d love to see you do a English village with lots of houses and a big forest back drop maybe a pub cafe shop and post office a small school and things like that a bit like emerdale
No train ever can drive over these railway crossings.^^ All Lego Train Motors will get stuck on those black 1x1 2/3 slopes.... And yes, I have tested that! If you place them just one plate deeper it would work out fine for Lego Train Motors.
People were asking about the elevated tracks? I thought they looked stellar from the start! What I’m less certain about are the cheese slopes, they don’t look that good in my opinion... The detailing on the tracks is amazing though! Can’t wait to see the city grow and develop, looking forward to the next video!
This is fantastic! Popped up in my recommendeds so I watched part 1 and then this, but I love the style of editing and the build is incredible! Can’t wait to see where this goes :D
Wow didn't expect you address the elevation remark from the previous video. Very friendly response. Even if I'm not an afol. Your type of video are still enjoying to watch. Inner child loves it. Custom city was the dream!!
Wow! Your work is very good! This city will become a beautifull place, because has many details. Congratulations, I would like to visit this city in real life.
I hope you enjoyed the video! Don’t forget to check out the description for some awesome links and info!
thanks again for that video
Hi so i wanted to make a lego table like you so could you make some measurements so I know what to d?!?
:)
Ok
69 likes epic and yes i enjoyed this video
When I was younger, I wanted to build a city like this. This is pure gold!
Do it now.
Wake up samurai, we have a city to build
Your future goals like me
god know I had the legos to do it growing up, but the city would have been white, blue, red, yellow. plus we didn't have to many intricate legos.
I had to combine a bunch of different toys and use my imagination to make a city
I can’t wait to see more episodes! Your editing is so simple but professional!
i agree
agreed
Yeah his videos are like really simply edited and not over top but in a way that you can tell a lot of thought has been put into it.
Yep UA-cam recommendations worked and got me to the first one and now I’m hooked
@@erik365365365 same
Also add a railway stopper so then cars can’t go when the train is coming
In America we call them gates
Do we? I just call them weird looking drawbridges
I haven't seen them
Is this based off of a different country or US?
England
I can’t wait until you start the buildings they are going to look sick
Next update!
UA-cam's recommendation algorithm has given me one hidden gem of a channel
This just shows that with enough time anyone can make anything
ReAlly
You need a bit of artistic skill too
@Isaac Eow yeah lol me too
I’m loving the new style of the videos, nice calm music with the timelapse, It’s fantastic content.
Only started watching you recently and I am very impressed with your building skill and attention to detail, great vid

Fr😂😂😂

Yes. An upload from the lord. Lion Bricks XD
Let’s go!
@@pyjamapunk1575 Hell yeah
This is the moment I've been waiting for
Go to 8:00 and look to middle and a little to the left It looks amazing, but that one single plate is turned, my ocd is killing me, good job tho.

Looks beautyful.
Nice filming technique and choice of music! Fits well together.
This series momentarily cures my depression. It looks so good!
A pleasure!
Cant wait to see some Buildings coming along and to have some light up bricks to really bring out that realism!
When railways in Britain First started off they used to coat the wooden sleeper/ties in tar to help preserve them so they had a blackish look to them.
The coating is called creosote.
The modern black railroad cross ties are recycled plastic. They are estimated to have a life span of 50 years each and are made from plastic recovered from landfills and recycling centers.

So glad I found this series! You're making me want to buy some legos again and make something cool!

I can't wait on how this city will turn out at the end
Very true about the color of the translucent pieces for the street lamps!
I always put yellow ones 🤣🤣

This series is what I have been looking for, absolutely brilliant!
Man I've been watching since the old city and OMG I love the new editing and building style, it just shows how much you've improved over the past few years.
I watched the first part yesterday and was about to look at the second one but realised it isn’t even out yet. Good thing it’s here now
are you going to build an overhead wire for the trains? that would be cool i think
I plan to add a monorail
Ho Lee Fuk I just understood your username
@@LionBricks What about crossing gates and lights? Will that come in the future?
Are you pilipino

The street lights reminded me of a alien movie scene so if you could (which could probably) make a UFO that would be awesome!
I Love how the City is getting form 👍😀
I only just found this series but I am very excited to watch the rest, I really love Legos and this is very cool!!
Man, your eyes for details are insane. The black gives a very good contrast. I like that.
I like the tiling on the level crossing and the ballasting method you have chosen for decorating the tracks.
as a kid who used to play with legos, it stresses me out to see you use so many smooth pieces as i always saw those as the "valuable" pieces
among the little details you added in the train track area, i like that you added those lego weeds.
Im starting to like this series. You add a smooth montage music that keeps us calm and I like the narrating you do its pretty cool
Everything looks SO smooth!!!
great idea, creating potholes!
These videos are relaxing and simple. I also wish that you had more of this playlist done.
I love legos, and tou sir, are taking it to another level. This is amazing!
This is a great start to 2021.
You are so good at building with legos!
Great attention to detail Lion, looking forward to the next episode
These videos are so relaxing, can't wait for part 3
Love this series you earned a subscriber
This was what I needed. Good work!
omg those roads look so clean^o^
The pot holes are a really nice touch! 👌
How much effort can one put into a railway.. I would just put the molded piece and probably call it quits. The amount of detail blew my mind!
2:12 love this. Like dopamine for my eyes.
Video was super zen. Appreciate the build.
yeaahhhh! Another city update video! Very nice idea to add those lamp posts in the city 😀
I've never watched a Lego build in my life and I'm absolutely addicted to this.
This b\video was extremely satisfying!

Thanks for the upload on new year's eve. It give me something to watch between that period of midnight and "I need to go to sleep but don't want to"
It takes so many bricks to build a lego city... but it's a delight to look at your process!
Another GREAT video. Really enjoy that you are SHOWING the build process and not just the finished results. Keep up the good work!
Just hearing someone be this passionate about something is enough to put a smile on anyones face.
