"Make sure to come down to the Great eastern whiteout snowmobile show Febuary 8th". Louie promptly posts the video on March 6th hahaha. Great content though!
Had a 67 Moto Ski with a 292 or 300 Hirth single. Rated at 18 hp. Back in the early 70’s. Banged around on that for a while. Then got a 340 Grand Prix. The gold coloured one. Single Hirth again. Our dealer used to race Moto Ski every year in a Winnipeg to St Paul (I think that was near Minneapolis MN.). Three day affair.
Beautiful snowmobiles...I was looking to see if there was an MS18 in the collection, I didn't see any though. I still have a nice 1968 Moto Ski Cadet, it still purrs like a.......Well it kinda just hammers like a woodpecker lol. Great video, thanks for the upload.
Been awhile, but Dana Patrick's parent's had a vintage Moto-Ski race team. A vintage race circuit held one of their event's where I live here in Wisconsin. In fact the circuit still host's a race here every winter. The year I watched Dana's parent's team(which her father was one of the racer's) I believe was the last year they competed.
Had '69 Capri with 372 hirth single 24hp and '70 MS-18 with Hirth 493 twin, shorten the tunnel for rusted out by 20 inches and track. it flew after that clocked 85 mph with track rubbing tunnel
I had a Motoski late 60s early 70s. Had ski doo Olympic and Nordic. Polaris TX my girlfriend crashed. Old Evinrude. John Deere. Couldn't afford the TNT
First sled was my dad's 78 Moto Ski 440 Futura, biggest piece of crap machine I've ever dealt with before or since. Total garbage until Ski-Doo took over.
