I feel like across the spiderverse's depiction of Mumbai is more accurate than the comics. The comics are basically color swapped and in a way stereotyped version of India.

because there is no major spider version of mj. she was an iron spider at one point but that's about it. this ain't about her. it's about ghost spider, Gwen Stacy. there is a non-zero chance that Gwen dies. but now we are dealing with multiverse triggers, killing her would mess up her story.
i LOVE indian spiderman. this makes me so happy, because i remember being a kid always wanting to be white and being embarrassed of my culture when people would make fun of my food and culture and whatnot. but seeing more of indian culture being presented in western media means a lot to me because it gives me the hope that little indian kids all around the world will grow to love their culture and identity and embrace it along with childhood interests like superheros. indian spiderman and miles morales are real superheroes for making kids everywhere feel accepted.
Don’t celebrate yet that they don’t give this man the worst fate ever. He just got popular so an arc where he gets brutally killed by some monster is bound to happen yet
I love how the movie explained why all these spider people basically have variations on the same backstory. Instead of making that feel like a gimmick, it feels like a feature.
So, he's basically a Spider Shazam. That's cool. The movie did his character justice though, the redesign made him more unique and feels like he's his own character instead of a normal Spider-man with pajamas.
Spider-People I'm gonna have existing together in my Marvel universe: -Peter (obviously); -Gwen (Inhuman powers, still deciding a few things about her story due to all the cloning surrounding her and the fact she interacts with both Peter and Miles); -Silk; -Miles; -Penny; -Miguel (his condition and position in the story are a bit more special though); -Considering including Pavitr, but I'm still not sure how. Thank goodness for the redesigns because not only are the designs more culturally accurate, but it's also painfully obvious Meera Jane was an attempt to South Asian-ize Mary Jane. LOL
Fun Fact:- The name "Pavitra Prabhakar" in Sanskrit literally means "Pure Sunlight" which suits him cause he's a pure innocent soul.

One of the few marvel redesigns that I think look ten times better than the original.
People say his inclusion, among others, is forced diversity. Which is very, very stupid
