Your trimmer didn’t sound to happy, then I realized it’s a husky. I had a husky 128ld, then I got a stihl km131r. Boy is there a difference. I’d love to try my stihl in that stuff. I’m surprised you didn’t break out the scag for this
Well just because I was demonstrating the attachment. Also some dude with a brush hog mows this lot. I work for the customers in the background. Just wanted to trim a little to see what it would do.
I bought one then soon afterwards l got an e mail from Amazon saying DON'T use it, they have been found to be dangerous, after a while the blades fly off!

I've been searching EVERYWHERE to see what brands of weed eaters these attachments fit onto. Could u PLEASE list some brands of weed eaters which are powered on battery (not gas) that these attachments fit on? Maybe give me some links if u can of where I can purchase weed eaters.
All the information I can give you here is that the attachment has a 1 inch hole. Most weed eaters have that 1 inch hole on the receiving end but you'd still need a retainer to hold it on, so you have to look for the attachments being sold with the universal adapter. I don't have information on all weed eaters as to which ones have the right receiver and I know nothing about the electric ones. My best guess would be to get the attachment sold with the universal adapter.
It goes on most weed whackers/weedeaters/line trimmers. All names for the same thing. Just make sure you buy one that says it includes universal mounting hardware.
How much did you pay for the head? Also, I own 4.5 acres of woods with thick foliage and thorns that I'd like to clear. How well do you think it'd do in thick weeds and thorns?
Oh seriously, I've trimmed hedges with this. I have a few videos up with it cutting many things. Yes, it will cut all that but of course it will be flinging thorns all over the place.
Oh, it's best to search for "6 blade trimmer head" on Amazon. You'll see a million of them from different companies but they are all the same. Try to get one that says it comes with adaptors for mounting it on your trimmer. Most of them have nothing, i. e. no way to attach it.
If my late husband used that weed trimmer, he would cut both his legs off! He was an accident waiting to happen! Myself, I weedeat wearing shorts and flip-flops and never get a scratch!
Exactly. I rarely get hit with any weedeater spray either. Not as dangerous as many people think. But I know the type like your late husband. They can get hurt using any tool.
@@Something2LookAt i also dont tend to go all out on safety gear but boots and jeans at-least for me although if im weed-eating in stuff that i think may have lots of rocks and sticks i will use a face shield because those only seem to hit me in the face or shins
Well on Amazon you will find adapter kits. These just mount on weed whackers. You remove the weed whacking plastic line head and attach this brush cutter with the adapter. The machine I'm holding is a weed whacker/weed eater.
Definitely not bahia. Around here they refer to it as lake grass. But not quite cattail grass. I will watch it really close this year to see if it ever forms cattails.
Wow! Good memory! That mower is actually still in it's box! I haven't even pulled it out and started it for the first time yet. I really need to do that. I think I will try to do that on a nice small yard in the Spring.
If you want a method to fall back on if you can't find an adapter, just take off the strimmer head, put this attachment on, then put the strimmer head back on. It will look a little silly, but it will reach past the strimmer head and get your brush cutting done. But the adapter is easy to find on Amazon. If you happen to have a 2 cycle edger, it's retainer will hold it on. That's what I'm using.
You know I actually studied the best way to write that, be it weedeater or weed eater or weed wacker or weed whacker and the most common reference is "weed whacker." I'm trying to appeal to the whole world on searches and the rarest reference of them all is the correct one, "line trimmer." In Australia they say "Whipper Snipper!" See, it could be worse...
Oh, no, not really. I think it would be a good idea as someone mentioned to put the guard back on it. But I think the average person with some trimmer experience could use it safely.
