- Today we brought Frank (Turbo EG Hatch) out to the drag strip to attempt to break into the 10's. Frank went 11.000 at Orlando Speed World in February. But then I crashed the turbo Civic which set me back a few months. After stitching Frank back together over the course of a couple months, I am finally ready to hit the drag strip on the new Kill Tune provided by MSpec Tuning. Time to battle bois.

One thing that will help you with the launch will be learning how fast or slow you can slip your clutch off the line when you're building boost. And up your rev limit in 4th so you're not running out of RPM on top end. Build your boost also on the prestage bulb, and slowly roll into the stage bulb. The shallower you're in the stage bulb, the better your E.T Wil be better as well, and you'll be more constant on the tree, and that will help you learn your car better.
This. if you're bogging from grip at the tires slip the clutch a little more until the turbo comes on more to take care of the load.

Bro you gotta light up the pre stage lights get on the 2 step while on the hand brake then creep up and light up the second set of lights while still on the e brake and preload it and then you will solve the not building enough boost and the axle situations at the same time

You need to set up a drag racing launch control, not pops bangs and fire but something that makes boost while pre loading your axles and it will be a rocket off the line and it won’t bog
I had a 1.5 60’ on the last pass where my axle popped out.

Try with rear skinnies wheel and drill holes through rear bumper. can improve MPH
cant wait for you to be able to get rid of that Hondata. I have a wavetrac and have no issues, i'd spec the clearances for the diff and im assuming you have the lock clip on the end of the axle end into the trans. If you dont, absolutely need one, even if you didnt need it before. nice rips tho regardless

Shim the axle on the back of the hub side just a bit and make sure motor mounts are good. Assuming you're running an aftermarket poly already. You got this man 🤘🏻
I have 2 shims installed already lol.
Also I’m running hasport 62a mounts and hasport 62a torque mounts.
@@boosted_john damn son 🤔 for it to pop out there would have to be an issue with the distance growing under excessive load i would think, aka bad mount or short axle, ect. Those oem or aftermarket axles? aftermarket?

You need that DRIVER MOD and that car will hit 10's all damn day!
4 pops on the limiter in 1st before grabbing 2nd is what U need. And I've seen guys run a shim on the driveshaft at the wheel hub to stop axles disembarking the gearbox

Crazy ho that little bit from 11.0 to 10.99 is so difficult. So funny when people say drag racing is easy. Those are the people that never drove a descently powered stick shift car and fwd makes it even worse. John are you running bbg and what are your numbers are you full boost in 2nd or 3rd?
Yeah bbg. It was 21psi before Mikey’s sent me a new map. Then somewhere around 24 with the new map.
@boosted_john what gear are you putting full power 2nd or 3rd. My car probably making just a little less then you I haven't turned it up at the track I wasn't making full boost till 4th want to see if it will take it in 2nd went 11.8 want to see how close I can get to the 10 also
Wavetrac is lifetime warranty. Simply send the diff to them and they will redo the internals that hold the c clip in.

Yeah, and speaking of snap rings, I think I've seen you mention it, but I solved that problem (with a stock diff) by using an OEM circlip. It was much better than the trash on the Autozone axle and went from constant pop-outs to none.
"Eric the car guy" has a Mfactory LSD might want to give him a shout if looking for a replacement
